this week is to celebrate and honor every lesbian, the ones before us, the ones here now shaping our communities in so many ways and the ones that will come.

but my thoughts go to those lesbians who, even in our own spaces, are still marginalized and othered.

for lesbians from every place and background, for poc lesbians, for fat lesbians, for masculine lesbian, for lesbians with weird genders and identities, for trans lesbians, disabled and chronically ill lesbians, immigrant lesbians, poor lesbians, closeted lesbians and for all lesbians being affected by war and hunger.

we deserve to be seen, to be loved, to be held, to be respected and to take up space exactly as we are. unapologetically.

this week, always and forever. long live lesbians! 🧡🤍🩷

recently i’ve been thinking a lot about season 3 of sram, and i have some thoughts to share, although, maybe no one will read it anyway.

i’ve seen a lot of criticism here and on twitter about this season being too non-graphic compared to s1 & s2 with straight couples, and also people complaining about censorship. and while i agree that censoring queer couples in any way is bad, can we also talk about how despite the censorship we still got such a beautiful queer love story in a conservative and homophobic country? personally, seeing a balkan/slavic queer representation and especially a skam remake is a big deal to me. and as someone who lives in a slavic country where being queer is illegal, watching sram with such familiar names and a similar language felt revolutionary. i cannot express how grateful i am to sram for being so brave and giving us lovro’s story, and i can’t stop seeing myself in him as well.

and also, i don’t think that graphic sexual scenes (or any sexual scenes at all) are necessary when telling a love story, especially between teens. you can still enjoy people falling in love without it. but idk if it’s just me or...
