How Destiny Characters Laugh (Vanguard and Awoken Edition)

– Cayde has a kind of obnoxious laugh, but it’s pretty infectious. Also, Cayde has the humor of a middle school boy, and laughs at just about anything.

– Zavala is pretty stone-faced most of the time, but if he finds something particularly funny he’ll chuckle a bit. Oh, and Zavala laughs at dad jokes.

– Ikora tends to snort when she laughs, and she’s always embarrased about it. She often tries to hide when she’s laughing too. 

– Uldren has a kind of barking laugh, and has a pretty nasty sense of humor. He also loves a good inappropriate joke, especially at the wrong time.

– Mara hardly laughs, or even smiles for that matter, but she will hide a smirk every now and again. When she does laugh, it’s typically a very quiet chuckle.

– Petra doesn’t laugh a whole lot either, but if she finds something funny she’ll smile and do that kind of exhale-through-your-nose kind of thing.

– Sjur always laughs very loudly. And, similar to Cayde, it’s very infectious. She also laughs at the tiniest stupid joke. Sjur just laughs a lot.

I Headcanon that...

Guardians feel a form or phantom pain. For the injuries that don’t exist anymore. Sometimes guardians wake up clutching their arm screaming remembering a time they had lost it in combat. Feeling a sharp pain in your knees and a numbness in your feet from when they got cut off by a Fallen. Having your whole body burn from that fusion rifle blast in the crucible.

Guardians experience this most commonly when falling asleep or waking up. Sometimes it happens when they’re just hyper aware of their body. Remembering all the “scars.”

It never gets easier, you never get used to it.
