“I think you look cute,” Cora replied, biting her lip to keep from laughing, though not in a cruel way. For while she did think he looked cute, she couldn’t help but also find his costume a little ridiculous. Not that hers was much better – she’d been stuck for idea’s and had gone as a medieval princess.
“Cute? Now I’m beginning to doubt your tastes,” he joked, chuckling, entirely in self jest. “But ah, cheers, Cora. It’s a welcome sentiment compared to what I’ve heard tonight. You,” he, for a very brief moment, let his eyes wander over her costume, “you look... nice. You look nice.”
