this is what I love about Rijeka - there’s a surprise behind every corner. The city leaves the impression that it was built by a god who emptied a whole bucket of random buildings and stuff from different time periods and just left them where they fell. There is randomness and chaos in Rijeka, and any interesting angles. And layers! Because it’s build on hills, so when you look down from the hill you see many layers stacked in front of you like seats in a theatre, ending with the sea as the scene.
