honestly one thing i guess i should bring up is akisa’s behaviour at the end of the trial-obviously she was irrational, quick to anger and etc. had the endgame been that they walked out memories intact, she would have apologized to the ones she yelled at b/c she let her temper control her. she went into a downward spiral after hisako died and even hisako coming back couldnt rlly stop it and im sorry i couldnt chara dev out her arc in time what with college and irl shit but tldr that was akisa near her low point. someday, if dest wants to duo these losers again, maybe you’ll be able to see akisa at her best :’)

[walkthrough for akisa’s route under the cut]
Alright, let’s try really really hard to date Akisa Uehara, the SHSL Hiker!
She’s mostly frequenting either of the Libraries, the hotel’s Garden, the apothecary, or the Drug Store in the Castle Town Area. Going to any of the Libraries may trigger an event where she tries to learn the contents of a certain book, and if you’re patient and calm enough in your responses, she’ll thank you for putting up with her. She follows a schedule and usually doesn’t vary from it, so getting the hang of where she is isn’t hard at all.
After a certain point in her route, she starts to frequent the Fox Village Towers-namely, the Tower of Heroes and/or the Tower of Strangers-on the weekends. Thankfully, switching between towers takes none of your time, so if she’s not at one tower, she’s at the other one. Rarely, you can trigger an event with her here where she says she visits the towers because she misses being able to hike up mountains and this is the closest thing. Do not act/feign like you’re interested as she’ll just assume you’re doing it to make her feel better. The correct option is to just let her say her piece; she’s not looking for pity. Just hear her out and she’ll be satisfied and you’ll get some points.
For dates, most anywhere would be considered a neutral date option, so you won’t get any initial points from location alone. The best places for dates would be the Candy Counter and the Castle’s Garden.
Going to the Candy Counter, and asking her what kind of candy she prefers triggers an event about the kind of candy she likes and how she and her sister used to barter for their favorite candies on Halloween when they were younger. You can either tease her about how she’s not acting like herself or you can simply listen to her and tell her that that was a very cute story. (Hint: Tease her. She’ll get embarrassed and say that she’s fine. And get a little tsundere on you, oops...?) Anyway, after that choice, she ends up telling you a fair bit about how her sister and her used to act like as children and she’ll touch upon how her relationship went from that to what it is. You’ll also get a CG of her just eating candy and actually having a good time??? Amazing.
For the Castle Garden date, you might get an event where she comments on how the maze gets boring to navigate after a while, once you’ve memorized it. She asks you for suggestions, and the only options that nets points instead of docking them is to suggest doing it with her eyes closed. Any other option chosen will dock you points because she’ll either deem it too stupid or will assume you’re going to try something stupid and she’ll just leave. Anyway, when she actually starts doing the maze with her eyes closed, you get chances to quietly laugh at her or just laugh outright as she goes. Pick whichever you think fit the situation! There’s no docking of points, it’s either +1 or +2 points anyway! However, you can get two (2) CGs from this event; namely, by getting the max points earned and anything below that. The CG for less than perfect is of her having fallen down and you’re basically offering your hand to help her up and she’s taken your hand. The one for getting max points from the event is a lot gayer because you T2′d congrats and it’s of both of you on the little gazebo swing thingy and she’s sleeping on you and doing the cliche thing where she puts her head on your shoulder. No matter what CG you get, she’ll tell you more about herself and will tell you a fair bit of backstory (that I can’t tell you bc spoilers mfw)
Do not, I repeat, do not take her to the sauna/bath house for a date. She will get really mad and leave and it’ll dock a fair bit of points. Don’t do it, man. You don’t even get a CG. You just get D E A T H aka a lot of docked points.
Gift giving with Akisa is straightforward, since if she doesn’t like a gift, she’ll fucking tell you she thinks it’s a piece of crap On the contrary, finding the gifts she really does like is difficult because she never really talks about it, and if you asked her, she’d shrug and ask you why you’re getting her anything in first place and you’ll get nowhere and also waste an action. Still, from her talent, it’s not too hard to guess, haha.
She prefers practical gits over anything else, so things like a Compass, or a First Aid Kit will do wonders. However, she’s also partial to video games as well. Most other gifts given to her will either give you no points or a whopping one (1) point. She hates the Insta-Curry and the Encyclopedia Neurosciencia items the most, and if you give them to her she’s going to give them right back and then yell at you and then dock you a couple points. Lesser hated items would be any sort of gag items, like Heelies, the single Pasta Noodle, and/or any of the Fake Body Parts in a Jar items. She won’t yell at you but you still get points docked and she will give them back to you.
A noted event that occurs in her route is essential to whether you get her True End, her Good/Neutral/Friendzoneship Route or even kicking you off her route entirely. So at one point in her route (shows up when all the date events have happened) she’ll begin avoiding you if you approach her. She’ll still talk to you but more often that not, she’ll say she doesn’t have time for you and push you away. This is her being an idiot and not understanding how getting a crush works because she’s dumb. Anyway, at one point she confronts you and she’s basically like “hey so i don’t??? know whats going on with me but im not about the feels jam life and since youre kind of the problem here, lets fight.”
That’s right, this is a fight event. Because have you ever met her. The girl punches her problems away.
Anyway you get to question her demand a little before you have to make A Choice. The choice you make defines what route you’ll go to. If you decline but you’re really aggressive about it, you’re off the route. Doesn’t matter how many points you have, you’re off her route and she’ll be really mad about it and storm off. If you decline politely, she’ll still be mad but she’ll just be like “whatever fine god” and she’ll storm away. That’ll put you on the other route. Sorry, kids but you gotta fight her to win her heart. Don’t ask. Anyway, the outcome of the fight is determined by d20 rolls because why not. You have the option to throw the fight/go easy on her/let her win that won’t dock you points, she just calls you out on it at the end.
Anyway, no matter what happens, the fight ends with both of you beat up to shit and deadass on the floor. After a bit, she starts laughing-like genuinely laughing and she’s like “what are we DOING? god what am I doing?” and she apologizes because oh my god she kind of kicked your ass at least once. She patches you up first and you basically ask her like “hey man wtf?” and she basically tells you why and tells you the rest of her backstory (that once again, I can’t tell you because spoilers. But if you read Akisa and Hisako’s fight thread and know about “Her” and/or “the camp” then that gets explained.) and tl;dr she says she’s not good at expressing her emotions because she’s never been as socially gifted as her sister, so she always resorted to physical actions...which ending up being fighting people when she didn’t know how to fix a problem. She helps you to your room and then walks off, laughing again. Anyway, you get a shit ton of points from that. Also a black eye but you know. Love is War. Oh yeah, you get a CG from when you’re both on the floor and she’s laughing! So hooray! Jackpot~!
Tips on Akisa’s Route: If there’s one singular tip to remember, it’s probably to keep on her route. It might be hard, given that she tends to push people/you away very early on in the route, and she’s quick to anger. She’s pretty busy, so if there comes times where she’s not available, it’s completely fine to go interact with other people-she wouldn’t really like it if you were clingy or thought she monopolized all your time anyway! So don’t feel bad if you’re interacting with other people 3 days in a row because she’s not able to be talked to!
Another tip is to know when to tease her and when not to. Most of the times when the option occurs, don’t do it since she sees it as you making fun of her and dislikes it. But if she’s sort of poking fun at herself as well, then that’s when you can tease her. Also when she’s acting really sentimental or otherwise not herself.
Basically throughout the route, just be practical about how your answers should be; thinking “if this was happening irl, what would the appropriate choice be?” helps a LOT because Akisa’s a huge realist.
Bad End Summary: Yes, this is possible. I hate Akisa enough to ruin her life. Anyway, this is activated if you don’t have her points high enough to reach the friendship/good end at least and didn’t get kicked off her route in the fighting event. This can be done by choosing the options that anger her and/or giving her gifts she hates, as it will dock your points down enough, but it won’t forcibly kick you off her route. Basically what’ll happen is you’ll go talk to her as usual but she’ll be wary of you and question why you keep talking to her. All the choices here are bad end ones,as this is the bad end, so any of them work. Choosing to admit you just wanted to see why she was always so angry/violent is probably the worst though, so if you want to go max bad end, choose that. Whatever you choose will start a yelling match between the two of you, and as it escalates, you get once choice in the end: “You couldn’t protect Hisako or [redacted] anyway!”. Yes, you have to choose it. Yes, I love to eat shit and die. Anyway, Akisa will completely freeze and stare at you for a good minute before swinging. You’ll get another black eye+bloody nose and she’ll tell you she never wants to see you again, that she was stupid to actually think you wanted to be friends with her for any reason, and that if she sees you again, she’ll make your life hell. Then she’ll storm away and you’ll go back to your life as always. In-game you don’t see it, but in the nifty CG you get, you’ll see she’s crying as she storms off. Because you broke her heart and and her trust in everyone/anyone. Also ruined her life a little bit. Thank god. Ruin her.
Good/Friendship End Summary: Basically if you chose the wrong things, or maybe didn’t enough points (I don’t blame you, she’s really stubborn) then you get this end instead! Basically what happens is that (as I assume this takes place when they’re all on vacation or something) as everyone’s getting ready to leave and go home, she visits you, having already packed up and tells you that she appreciates everything you’ve done for her and that maybe they should still hang out at school and stuff? She’s trying, okay. Anyway, basically it’s just Akisa Gets A Friend: the ending. But I mean...you get a CG of her giving you a peace sign as she waits for you by the door. So not really a loss, and another CG for those completionists out there (read: me)
True End Summary:
“...What..?”
She looks taken aback. Well, why wouldn’t she? You had just approached her and confessed to her. She looks at you, torn between confusion and embarrassment.
“This isn’t funny, you know. You shouldn’t joke about that stuff.”
You laugh and assure her that this isn’t a joke, and repeat your confession. She flushes a little and looks away. Obviously she has not had this happen to her before. After a minute, she clears her throat.
“I, uh...thanks? I don’t really...know how to deal with this-Hisako’s really...she’s the one who got asked more than me. Well, I never got asked so uh...congrats on being my first...confessor...?”
She looks two seconds away from bolting, but she steels herself.
“I mean...I can’t say I’m not happy. I’m actually really very happy. You’re always there to talk to. And you never gave up on me and you’ve kept up with me and you didn’t push me away after hearing how horrible of a person-of a sister-I am and...”
She coughs, embarrassed. Christ, Akisa.
“What I’m trying to say is I’m glad you feel this way about me because I feel the same way. I like you too!”
She reaches to ruffle your hair affectionatelly and then kisses your cheek while you’re distracted. When she draws back, she’s smiling. [Insert the CG here, probably complete with Fire Emblem Sparkles because those are amazing. S-Rank or bust] She gestures to the exit of the hotel, where the ride home awaits them all and then takes your hand.
“Let’s get out of here, yeah? "I think it'll be nicer seeing the world now that you're here with me."

“...Are you done playing White Knight yet? Honestly, Arakaki-san, I thought you had more sense than that. Then again, you’re softhearted to hell and back so really, what was I expecting.”
“Well. Asides from all that mess, you’re not terrible to be around? You’re not talking at the speed of molasses anymore and you kept my secret for me. I guess you’re alright.”
“Where do I even start with you? Naive, way too optimistic, and really fucking stubborn. I’m only surprised I didn’t point a sword at you sooner. And at the end of the day, I told you so and proved you wrong.”
“And now this whole...everything. Bully, not a bully...I kind of don’t care what you think of me? Piss off, though.”
“Gotta hand it to you though; at least you finally told me to fuck off. Had a feeling you’ve been holding that one for a while.”
“Well, you’re not totally bad I guess? I mean, you helped with investigations and you’re level-headed.”
“Still kinda mad about that comment about my sister’s condition at the trial, though. That’s between you and her I guess but I should hope you’re smart enough to apologize.”
Never let it be said that your actions didn’t have consequences, because ohh boy, was she facing the consequences. In hindsight, punching the shit out of Hozumi was a really really bad idea, even for her. But at the time, she was just too angry at his inability to hate the person who’d caused all this pain and misery that she’d kind of lost it. Not that she regretted it, of course, but she probably could have chosen to do it literally any other time but then.
But it had happened, and now she was catching hell from Sakuya, Hayate, and even Hozumi himself for it. She…expected that, honestly. She addressed Sakuya first.
“I’m impressed, Uehara-san. You actually can get angry. Anyway, to answer your question I don’t have anything to gain. See it as me being a bully if you want, but let’s be real here, he needed someone to slap what little sense he possessed back into him. I didn’t lie either, did I?”
She shrugged and moved on.
Hayate was next. Normally, she really wouldn’t give a shit about the words of someone who’d masterminded an entire game to make them all suffer. But Hayate’s words had made her blood boil and she wasn’t going to let it stand. She’d just turned to go back to her podium after punching Hozumi and so hadn’t seen him step in between them. She turned back to look at him with narrowed eyes.
“Is that a threat, Minami-san?”
Now this was interesting. She stalked back to Hozumi’s podium and walked right up to Hayate, invading his personal space and staring him down.
“What if I do? Will you kill me? Pray tell, I’m interested in seeing what the brains of this game will do to a so-called selfish bitch like me.”
Hozumi had chosen this moment to stand up and intervene. He seemed to try and calm down Hayate first before going over to her and whispering in her ear. She raised an eyebrow at him. What the hell?
“Don’t be stupid, Arakaki-san. So long as you get it, then no need to say sorry. Jesus, kid. You and your bleeding heart.”
Apparently it was Grey-or, Hayate as it were. Judging by all the votes pouring in, his fate seemed to be set in stone. She honestly just wanted this to be over with. The sooner she kicked Hayate’s ass and sent him to his doom with a black eye, then the sooner they could finally get out of there.
So when Mystique-or what had his name been? Hozumi Arakaki,right?-started to talk, she closed her eyes in irritation. Why was he prolonging the inevitable? What the fuck, Hozumi. His words didn’t help his cause, as it started with him saying everything Hayate had done didn’t matter and ended with him crying and saying that he’d go die with him in that case.
Enough.
“Oh for fuck’s sake, Arakaki-san!”
She strode over to where he was standing and crying-damn it, stop fuckingcrying- and wasted no time in raising her hand and backhanding him with all the strength she had. Which was a lot. She Slap (25)
“Shut up! Shut the fuck up. If Minami-san hadn’t decided to do this, then we wouldn’t have had to live in fucking Hell for what, a month now? Month and a half? Whatever. The point is, he’s to blame for everything. All the times you or your classmates cried? That’s on him. Every time someone’s blood was spilled? Also on him. It doesn’t matter if it’s real or not. You wanna know why? When Mizushima-san got stabbed, he still felt it. The head wound from Hibiki-san? Still fuckin’ real. Hi…”
She paused, just for a second. Then she grabs him by the collar of shirt, forcing him to look at her an continued, her voice getting louder and angrier with every syllable.
“Hisako’s death was felt just as much. A hard fall off a cliff and a stick through your stomach kind of fucking hurts, you know? You cried over iher. Are you saying that doesn’t matter now? That every time your bleeding heart cried over someone dying that oh, it doesn’t matter because hey they didn’t actually die? Don’t be stupid. By the way, we have no proof that we’re actually criminals. If this entire game was made up, then so could that claim, as well as those stupid criminal things from way back when. Don’t believe everything you hear,dumbass.”
She stopped and for a moment, you would think she was done with her screaming match and would just shove Hozumi to the floor. She did not do that. What she did do was pull back the hand that had slapped him and aimed a punch right at his face. She Punch (100)
“Don’t be fucking overdramatic, Arakaki-san. Just drop the White Knight act already, accept that your best friend fucked you and everyone else over, anddeal with it, you fucking crybaby.”
