My name is Kenn, most of you probably know me as ‘mistymontague’ here on Tumblr and most of you probably know that I’m a aspiring model and I have huge travel aspiration goals.
I currently live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina along with my mother and things are not going well between us right now.
Long story short, my mom got a job opportunity in a near town nearby by grandparent’s farm and she will be moving there soon (as soon as this upcoming weekend). I had plans to move out to NYC this August, but since I will be at my grandparent’s home I will not have the opportunity to grow, find a job, or save money for my move while I’m there at that farm. Where my grandparent’s live is completely rural and there is absolutely no internet, no cellphone reception, no Uber, no public transportation, nor airports that take flights to NY within a 20 mile radius. There are Greyhound and Chinatown bus stops, but I don’t drive and I would need a ride to them :(. Anyways, my family is not supportive of me moving to NYC at all and shit has gone chaotic. Anyways, I have set up a Gofundme campaign to seek funds to help me out a lil bit. I am a firm believer in working hard and not asking people for anything, but things are not going well and I will need all the help I can get. I’m asking for $300USD and this will give me enough for funds to bump up my budget for finding a sublet (all I can afford is a 30-31 day $500 sublet and so far only creepy bad vibe givin’ cis men and scam artists been hittin me up’) and for food and public transportation. I would appreciate every nickel and dime if you can contribute a donation and I can offer tarot and pendulum readings on anything (except health, lottery, or “when will I die” questions). Update (March 26, 2016): I’ve been here for two days and I love it and I don’t ever want to return home, but everything is not peaches and cream right now. I currently live in Elizabeth, NJ with a friend of mine. Although, I appreciate them letting me crash here until I get on my feet, they are kinda pissed at me that I get home a little bit after 10pm. If I keep it up, imma be kicked out. It’s really not in my dear honest intentions to be coming home late and I don’t want them to lose my trust. Also, I’m ready to move within NYC city limits. The NJ Transit fare is literally insane and it eats up my fucking wallet like Patrick on SpongeBob would eat something. Anyways, please still reblog, retweet, Facebook share whatever you can do To help me. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has donated, reblogged, and spread the word
Things aren’t still peaches n cream and unfortunately I have to leave the place I am staying at in Elizabeth NJ very soon. It’s nothing personal against my housemates and I, but my house mom’s boyfriend isn’t too fond of me staying here and I have to bounce really soon. Don’t worry y'all, I have a few potential places that I can crash at, but I still need y'all help.
The donations proceeds to my transit fares (believe me when I tell you a round trip ticket with NJ Transit to & from NYC is $14.50 every time), food, and getting around.
I am still unemployed and I am forever waiting so patiently to hear back from these hiring managers, but they are taking so long and I don’t have a lot of time left……
I really don’t wanna return home to my home state of NC because I wasn’t absolutely doing nada with my life and it would push me 50 steps back from my goals
I am so close to my modeling dreams and I even was interviewed by a big time store in Soho ran by a famous designer. How many people can say they had that opportunity lol?
But yeah, although I have three places to stay Idk for how long If you or someone you know has a room for rent for under $500 per month w/o security deposit n utilities included (which I know isn’t shit in this area) anywhere in the 5 boroughs or even near a PATH train station in Jersey, please don’t hesitate to hit me up here on Tumblr or even send me an email to my gmail listed in the previous captions above.
