if y’all are specifically trying to talk about mastodon social, that instance doesn’t allow sexual depictions of children, fictional or not.

Mastodon is a decentralized network. You sign up on instance of your choosing, which basically functions like a community or a subreddit, and you post stuff. You can either track your home timeline, your local timeline (which shows posts specifically from people in your instance), or the federated timeline (which shows posts from multiple different instances; each instance can block other instances if they don’t follow that specific instance’s rules).

Every instance is run by a different person or group with varying rules.

My wife and I were were talking the other day and, I don’t remember what we were even talking about, but the idea came up that we would need an oreo for. I joked about getting one from my secret stash. This is where she made her mistake. She said “oh right, like you could have an Oreo stash without me knowing about it.”

I’m sorry?

That’s a challenge.

I’m going to hide them in a super simple place at first

If you can accessorize a part of another person’s culture to fit into your own sense of spiritualism while people who are actually a part of that culture and actually understand its intricacies are still treated like absolute shit for it, that is what cultural appropriation is and it’s really sad to me to see other witches defend it and ignore people who bring it up. Not being culturally appropriative can be as simple as changing your phrasing, and it means the world to people who are actually discriminated against to see that some people actually care enough to listen to them.

imo, it’d be really disrespectful to both the christian god and the pagan gods you’re trying to reach out to if you do that. Christianity isn’t exactly known for being supportive of Pagans and our beliefs, after all, and the Christian God forbids worshiping or working with any deities other than themself. You cannot continue to walk the path of a deity that forbids working with other gods and also walk the path of, well, other gods. That feels like extreme appropriation to me, as a Pagan.

Burnout, 2018.

Three years ago, my constantly worsening sleep deprivation and stress resulted in a burnout. I’m 30 years old now, at the time of posting this comic, and I still haven’t recovered fully. I still have the heart symptoms - even the smallest amount of stress brings the symptoms back. It’s likely I will never recover enough to work a fulltime job again and I can’t go back to high-stress environments like customer service. But that’s alright. I am more than just my work. I’m slowly learning to be merciful towards myself and to show myself the same kindness I show others, and I think that’s very important.

This is my story and I won’t be ashamed any more.
