I just finished season 1, and I’m honestly pretty confused about something.

At what point was Amber being a bad girlfriend? If anything, it was Mark who was a pretty shitty partner during their relationship.

‘’Oh, but she acted like she was more important than saving the world !!!’’ No??? She was not upset at Mark for being a superhero. She was upset at Mark for constantly showing up late (or just not showing up at all) whenever they made plans, and for being dishonest with her about the reason behind this.

‘’Oh, but you can’t expect Mark to tell her about his superhero identity !!!’’ Okay, but you can’t expect Amber to not get upset whenever Mark ghosts her for the 10000000000th time either, especially after she gave him so many chances to correct that behavior or atleast explain it to her. She didn’t know that her boyfriend was being a superhero, she only thought that he was disinterested in her and their relationship.

She agreed to date Mark Grayson, not Invincible. If he knew that he couldn’t manage his superhero life and his romantic life at the same time, then he shouldn’t have asked her for another chance over and over again. There was a consistent pattern all throughout the season of him dismissing their relationship, Amber getting rightfully upset and breaking up with him, Mark trying to get back with her with gifts and false promises of being better, and her taking him back all while he never changes his behavior.

I honestly do not get the hate that the fandom has against Amber.

Mind you, they were dating for several months at that point. And all of this doesn’t disprove the point about him being constantly dishonest with her all throughout their relationship anyways.

This fandom’s obsession with portraying Amber as the bitchy unreasonable angry black girlfriend and Mark as her poor little victim who need the white female character (cough cough..Atom Eve) to come save him and show him what a ‘’good girlfriend’’ actually looks like is really fucking weird. There was no point in time where Amber was being bitchy or angry when communicating with Mark about her issues regarding their relationship, nor was there a time where she being unreasonable for asking Mark to be honest with her regarding the reason why he kept disappearing. At no point in time was Amber being the ‘’bad girlfriend’’ that the fandom loves portraying her as so much.

In a show with space fascists who conquered dozen of planets and killed billions of people, a man who has beaten his son to almost-death and a woman who is a literal rapist, I can’t believe that the one character that the fandom has collectively decided to dogpile on is the black female character who asked her boyfriend to be more honest with her.

I feel like this is my biggest hot take and I'm not even sure anyone will understand. But... kateve, evekate, dupliatom, whatever. Like hear me out, I have a vision!!

They're both GDA experiments, both on the same team and were friends, both were betrayed by Rex (he cheated on one, lied to the other about no longer being in a relationship), and both are clinging to the remnants of their family, no matter how bad they are. And Kate envies Eve and tries in every way to be better than her, more popular, "steal" her boyfriend, get a boyfriend who is "better" than Eve's crush, and get married quickly. But why is this strangely connected to Eve? Maybe it's a repressed attraction to Eve? Just think, Kate loses interest in Rex immediately when he stops being Eve's boyfriend and she's referring to Mark and Eve's relationship. Regarding Eve's side of things, unfortunately, I don't have such a strong analysis :( I can only add that Eve still clings to Kate, no matter how bad a friend she is, they had those dinners (in the comics). She's one of the few people who understands her and with whom she shares a lot of past/parallels, and Eve has a hard time making close friends

And their pairing would be quite poetic, a girl who dies all the time and a girl who can't die

Finally I finish her design! It's my oc Maria Valencia-Ramirez, Debbie's girlfriend and the smartest person on Earth. Despite her genius, she works as an ordinary teacher at Upstate University. Although she once even managed to create an interplanetary teleporter, after an incident involving her three brothers, she doesn't touch it

And now about chronology in my au. Amber and Mark started dating again some time after 1-2 episode, because he now have mentor and have more time. When he leaves for Traxan, he asks Ross to cover him (when he's already on the ship). Ross ends up being a vigilante, even though he doesn't want to and meets the guardians of globe and Cecil, because Mark said his mentor would cover him. And husbands have a conflict about lies and all that, at first Ross tries to make a conflict in front of everyone, but in the end they talk tet-a-tet. So does the line of Maria (Debbie's future gf!), who is now depressed because her brothers got pregnant by aliens and probably died (???). And Maria's got a conflict here because she wants to kill those kids, but she can't. She meets Debbie at one of the bars, and they talk heartily and even exchange numbers. They are slowly getting closer. After Oliver shows up, Maria asks Debbie if she has any babysitting contacts for "special" kids. That's how they learn about each other's situation much deeper. At some point, Debbie asks her out on a date, which is mostly very awkward because of their mental state, but they start getting along well. And Mark and Amber in 7 episode don't breakup, but have deep conservation about how make it work and how be safe. And I think other stuff will be the same

Hear me out, I think this headcanon should be canon!! Simon Petrikov is sakha

As we know Petrikov's surname is slavic, and he graduated from Petrograd University, meaning Simon was likely born in the USSR. Yakutia is considered the coldest place in the world, and due to russification many sakha people have slavic names and surnames. His skin tone is also quite similar to that of asian people. Simon also closely resembles the sakha intellectual elites of that time (like Oyunsky). The only thing that could ruin this headcanon/theory is the name Simon, BUT I have an answer to that. Simon is likely not just sakha but mixed and one of his parents is jewish which explains his name. The fact is that during the soviet era many jews lived in Yakutia, so much so that a jewish cemetery even appeared. End I just want more north asian representation and Simon can be good for this

Sometimes I feel so sick being a victim of SA and be in the Invincible fandom, where people defend Anissa or praise her. It literally makes me shaking and I can't breathe

And not to mention that in Invincible VS, for level 1 Anissa, you get a profile picture of a crying Amber. I understand that scene was in the show etc. but it's a VERY WEIRD decision and low key gives me racist vibes. Like it's some garbage. And give weird message... Like "I'm r*pist and better than black crying girl, because I'm hot baddie mommy"
