The 2007 George Miller Justice League film was so far along in preproduction that they actually cast one of the main characters, Australian actress Megan Gale, best known as the Valkyrie in Miller’s other great film, “Mad Max: Fury Road.” Some test photos were made of Gale in costume. I really hope she got a pay-or-play contract. 

The film stopped production because of the two most boring reasons imaginable: the Writer’s Guild Strike, and the fact a tax loophole for film production was closed in Australia. Australian tax law is why we didn’t get a Justice League movie in the late 2000s.

This is an interesting tray I found recently. 30" wide and stamped "Manufactured for General Electric" on the back. I'm assuming that this was used to keep parts together on the assembly line back in the day. #generalelectric #ge #vintage

The next 4 years

If nothing else, the next 4 years should generate a lot of great punk & industrial music.

I didn't measure the scrap i used, nor counted my wrenches before marking slots. I can't believe how perfect it worked for this drawer. #dumbluckisalltheluckineed

I woke up from a nap and realized that I could easily make a wrench organizer out of some scrap wood. It doesn't have to be pretty if it works.

A reminder that someone else was elected into power, and what happened soon afterwards. Remember history, be vigilant.

As the British said, Keep Calm and Carry On.

Keep doing what you are doing. Keep being the person you are. Effect change on your level.

Tune out the news and don’t pay attention to the daily back-and-forth. The pendulum will swing the other way…

In time.

This country is an alcoholic on the verge of rock bottom; this vote, like the Brexit vote, is a tantrum. The panicky shriek of a frightened people whose privilege has lost its currency.

Like most decisions made in anger, it was ill advised.

Angry white America voted for the promise to go back in time. That America would be great AGAIN. Like it WAS. Our manufacturing base will come back. All the brown people will all do away…

It’s white flight from reality.

The world is changing and a lot of frightened people bought a cynical promise to go back in time.

But the clock only moves in one direction. Change is the only constant. Evolution does not favor the strongest, it favors those most adaptable to change. Ask a Brontosaurus.

This will be a hard and ugly four years. Watching an addict hit rock bottom and admit they have a problem that can’t solve on their own is difficult to watch, but if they can accept it, they get to view the world in a new way.

This will be where white America finally gives up its illusion that one day things will go back to being the way they were. And when it slowly dawns on them that the 1950’s are never coming back, it’s going to be ugly.

In the meantime, take care of yourself, try not to look at it and be grateful you are in the 49 % of this country who’s not afraid of the direction of the clock.

#Negativland is a band that broke my brain in all the right places during my teen years. I’m glad i was able to order their new album and help them honor Donald Joyce. These will be cherished.
