News seemed to travel fast from village to village. There was word that a foreigner who was forcefully married to an Earl in an nearby village was on her way to seek the help of Kattegat, upon her husbands death. Hvitserk was sent to meet her before she had entered to see if it was safe to welcome her. As he rode upon his horse he came upon her and some of her people. She certainly was not as he expected, he always thought foreigners meek and unearthly, but she was not that. He felt, she had an air about her, and carried herself with a graceful strength “Are you Daenerys?” He quizzed at her, not as confident in his voice as he wish he had been?.

She had been sold off to the highest bidder in exchange for an army. One might be flattered that they were worth a whole army, but she had not been. It was a terrifying experience to be thrown into culture when you knew nothing about it, nor spoke the language. Though Daenerys had adapted. She had come to love the husband she once thought of as a barbarian, learned the language and grew to love and be loved by the people. The death of her brother hadn’t been as painful as she once thought it would be, he had been cruel to her but at one time was all she had. It was the death of her husband that hit her harder. With his death came the realization that she was the one ruling the village and its people. It didn’t take long for the lofty goal of her brother to take seed within herself and while the men under her control were not small by any means, she wanted to crush the usurper that killed her father and took his throne. Kattegat was the first place she had decided to go to for help, for more men. It wasn’t a surprise when someone from the village was there to greet her before her and her little company hit the outskirts. His voice faltered ever so slightly and she rose a brow in response. “ Indeed I am, are you the welcoming party? ”
