birthday ramblings under the cut

today (the day before at this point) was my birthday and it's funny how one of the worst years of my life was also the renaissance of colour and whimsy in my drawings

guess i'm just trying to even out the good and the bad and the ugly and the beautiful but i also feel like a traitor to art when instead of pieces loaded with symbolism and thought i go for something that simply makes me smile while i'm working on it

maybe that's the kind of rest i needed. anyways hope there's more funky blue priests to come
