Made a huge mess in my sketchbook but had a lot of fun.

Work win progress. This is only about 3 layers in but I like where it’s going.
Still using Bitumen, coffee, and acrylic paint but I added a bit of desaturated blue into the mix.
Some details from the last painting.
Hmmm!!!! My inclination is to keep on painting but I’m working on not overdoing things and preserving simplicity. Plus I actually really like the raw canvas peeking thru in parts. So, with some difficulty I will declare this done (I think).
Bitumen, acrylics, ink, and charcoal on unstretched canvas, roughly 30x25 in. (Entire canvas is 35x30 in.)
Last night’s painting - Acrylic paint, Asphalt, coffee, charcoal and chalk on Arches Oil paper - cropped to approximately 26x19 in.
Feeling upset today. Migraine coming on I think.
Journaling and painting at the same time. Looks pretty cool tho!
This work in progress has acrylic paint and ink, collage, marble powder, ash, and coffee. It actually smells amazing.
12x12 in. on cradled wood
On January 9th, 2023 I decided that I needed to take my creative practice a bit more serious. From that day forth, I was going to do something painterly or creative every day despite my full time job, house, learning French, exercising etc. etc. To document this I made a mark on all days I did what I set out to do. I missed 2 days in January. I’m pretty proud of myself for that. Let’s try to keep this up.
I’m on a roll. Here is another acrylic skin. This one is not as transparent as the last but it’s got a great texture.
This might be slightly addicting, so I need to put a caution on this, lol.
This is the result of last night’s paint flinging. So important to just play and lots of fun as well.
I have been experimenting with acrylic skins and I really love the look of the transparent ones over another paint layer.
This is what I’m currently working on. I’m still living with it to see whether it is done or not.
Acrylic Mixed Media on cradled wood, 18x18 in.
Hello Tumblr!
I‘m Kim and I struggle with creativity and all the manifestations of fear.
Posting what I create is hard but that is why I need to do it.
