pet death tw

as of thursday, brookie was put down. it turns out she was actually 15+ or even more by the vet who put her down. the pet shop that i adopted her from said she was 4. so i thought she was 9. at least her last days were full of kisses and cuddles. she was my rock when i had panic attacks, covid, and the darkest of nights. she showed me resilience, bravery, and compassion. there will never be a cat like her ever.

brookie stopped eating as much. i don't want her to suffer any longer, so any day now, i will lose her. i did what i could. i don't know what to do than pray and cry. i'm going through the stages of grief at the moment. currently in weeping and wailing like a baby in the car and now in my bed. i will probably go dark for a month or so as i grief some more. this is the most painful thing ive ever been through.

Everything was going great. I had my tattoo planned for Feb. I was working out. And now...

It was going fine, but Brookie got sick. And now its a waiting game. I'm highkey stressed. She's bouncing back, so I'm praying night and day that she continues to get her life back. Shes currently on a pain med and appetite stimulant cuz she stopped eating for five days. The most dumbest part is that my former vet gave her pain meds that causes liver failure according to her new vet. I'm super annoyed and want to cry. Brookie means the world to me. My cuddle bug. My sweet girl.

At least she ate last night and peed (which she hasn't done in a long time). I'm holding on. I'm managing my emotions pretty well. No outbursts, no mania or depression, just stress. I hope she continues to eat and get better. I want to curse out the former vet for giving my Brookie a dangerous med. Fuck them!!!! So shady.

I'll be back to rping on 3 Kings Day (Jan 6th). Gotta get the ingredients to make a nice holiday dinner.

Good morning, fam! I am free of the sinus curse! But I'm going to rest for the next two weeks. I have a lot of stuff happening in my life and they require my full attention. I'll probably be back on Three Kings Day cuz I'm gonna party until March. (Puerto Rican Christmas doesn't end until late January.) Not in a party mood. More in recovery cuz that was one of the worst 6 days of my life. Please take care of your sinuses this winter. Wear a mask.

as someone who's had chronic rhinitis for years i understand your pain

i'm so sorry!! that sounds painful and so uncomfy. its the pressure you feel in your nasal cavity and eyes want to pop out. Its always the nose that fricks the whole system up.

Y'know, you always catch me when I'm in the dumps. This time, my own body made me sick. My body hurts, my sinuses are malfunctioning. I feel gross, even after a shower.

And in the end, I log into the account and find the kindest person. This has made my year. I'm so hypercritical of myself and often double think myself. Thank you. A toast! I (very weakly) raise a glass of lemonade to you. 🍋 🍹

I hope this goes away before Christmas cuz I'm indulging in cheesecake for the rest of the year.
