I generally roll my eyes when people say a company or the entertainment industry has become money hungry or they've ran out of ideas or they are only focused on milking IPs. Because I know the old times they clamor so much for had the same problems and the same comments

But what I do think is new. Is both how recycled lots of these remakes/sequels feel now. Which has also been an issue but not to the degree of nowadays. And the age of the properties they are. Specifically that nothing is too old and nothing is too new. They seem to do anything they can

And my gut feeling is that. A lot of CEOs who joined these major entertainment companies thought of themselves like car or food companies. We don't need to constantly upkeep our brands to be relevant to a new generation. They will naturally come to us right?

And when they don't. They quickly realize that they are soon going to have a theme park/streaming service that are only going to appeal to people going through a mid life crisis. And they have to scramble for anyway to make their brands relevant

Just saw a bee fly into a spider's web. Right next to a spider who then tries to wrap them. Fail. The Bee who just squirmed out of the spider's assault then drops into another Spider's web right below it. Who also fails. For then the Bee to just fly away right before the third spider in this web could catch the bee squirming on the ground trying to get the web off

It’s so mysterious when you hear about a certain character on a show. Particularly Family Shows and how “awful” and “irredeemable” they are and think well this should be a interesting watch and then after the whole thing is done they do something like morally questionable once and that’s it
