One Final Farewell!
Hello beachgoers! It’s Ji-Ji / Rowlet-Mod for our final Mod announcement.
To make a long story short, and after much deliberation, we’re finally pulling the plug on this group.
This is for a few reasons, if you care to indulge —
Firstly, we understand that the demographic of Tumblr Pokemon RP’ers also happens to coincide with a lot of adults in their adult college / post-college life, and as such, having a three week deadline to post something for your characters ended up being an end to meet rather than a fun activity most people could enjoy.
Secondly, Tumblr, as you might be able to see, is starting to become just a little inhospitable for RP’ers nowadays compared to when it started, leaving people at the whims of X-Kit to be able to change their replies to be functional, and mobile replies nearly impossible.
Thirdly, we’re all just a little tired, y’all. As well as being Mods, Scad and I have full-time jobs we have to work, and Hana and I are in college, giving us little time to actually be able to maintain a group like this, with all it encompasses.
That being said, we do wanna say thank you for having been a part of this family, making it great, and helping us all find valuable friends along the way.
I know the group chat has sort of become a safe space for all of us to just come and hang, but I do wanna say from the bottom of my heart that you guys are the best friends I’ve ever made, and considering all the current friends there were friends I found solely through this group I’d made, making UBR was one of the best decisions of my life. For something that started as a passion project of mine, and even for all the trouble it ended up being, it’s a decision I don’t regret making for a second.
I love you all so much, and Hana and Scad certainly feel the same.
For those of you who’ve been on this journey and enjoyed it, and enjoyed us, just know that we truly loved you all the same.
