clarification on shadow crystals across save files
hopefully somebody smarter than me can answer this.
I’ve beaten the chapters 2/3/4 secret bosses sporadically across three save files. I don’t have most of the eggs so I’ll have to replay for those.
I’ve heard that if you’ve beaten a boss in one save file, you can pick up the shadow crystal for free in another. Say if I delete my second save file, will the bosses I beat in that file carry over if I create a new save in that slot?
If I delete all three files and create one new save, will I still get the crystals or will I have to beat the bosses again??
genuinely I still think "the deal was made with tenna ch1" is the funniest possible theory. the knight is hovering ominously in the living room issuing threats to an inanimate tv. the TV is playing late night infomercials. kris is on the couch steadily working their way through the whole pie while occasionally offering a quick "yeah what they said" to try to back the knight up
absolutely fucking hilarious how when you beat the knight they don't actually down kris and instead just sorta push them to the ground. obviously it's for Important Plot Reasons but whenever i look at this
all i can fucking think about is the knight going "kris. kris c'mon. kris please sit down we talked about this. kris would you please just follow the plan and sit down. kris. look i know you're upset about susie and ralsei getting hurt but they'll be fine. kris. kris i swear to god c'mon."
hey y'all, so I just posted the first chapter of an undertale/deltarune series I'm working on. the first work is undertale-focused to establish Frisk and Chara's story. Later works will crossover with deltarune! i'd really appreciate any feedback :)

Do I still have too many feelings about Spamton? Apparently. :/ Anyway I had the Dealmakers and the Shadow Mantle on Susie for this fight (and the Devilsknife because I just could not beat Jevil peacefully on that save) and it got me wondering about what Spamton would be thinking about facing off with the person who'd enslaved and warped him into a puppet, haha. It had to be cathartic! Well, up until everyone got one-shotted but
Spamton isn't actually on her head or talking, he's in the glasses, but the little ghost form there is so you can see how he's reacting. I had to figure out how a pair of glasses could defend someone which was a bit tricky. He can't protect you from all damage but he can soak quite a bit!
I picture the Shadow Mantle being made of shadows myself.
After finishing a normal playthrough of chapter 4 it just got me thinking how the prophecy is different from chapter one. The prophecy Ralsei tells shows us the heroes that will save the world.
But the original prophecy found in the dark world created in the church shows a different hero:
The hero (monster) portrayed in the original prophecy looks different. Neater? Longer hair, wielding a sword, wearing something that could be interpreted as a long robe instead of a jacket.
Susie can't wield swords, only Kris. But there is a specific sword in the game..
And the way the prophecy refers to the hero: "The Girl.", Not the monster, or the rebel, or any other strange nickname like the other heroes. Just "The Girl"
You know who else is called something similar?
The Girl next door is meant to be the Hero.
"Love finds its way to the girl." Wouldn't it make more sense it being Noelle finally having the guts to confess to her longtime crush, rather than Susie falling in love with a girl she's only canonically talked with for a few days?
Or love, as LV. Snowgrave is there for a reason, right?
Susie is taking the place of the hero by pure luck. Imagine, if it weren't because she was late to class then it would have been Kris being told to bring chalk and Noelle offering to help them with it. It would have been them in the dark world from chapter 1 instead.
Snowgrave/Weird route, I believe, is Kris/The Player preparing Noelle to fullfill her part in the prophecy without her (Ot them) knowing.
The normal route? It's Susie coming with us, now doing her best to disrupt a prophecy she doesn't know she's already messed with from day one.
