The fact is people are petty. If you are being trolled with this issue the fact is the troll is petty also because if they were not why would they be trolling you with this very issue? So yeah dealing with feminist issues in the developing world is more important but for feminists to be more concerned about the sexism they face on an every day basis is really not that petty. It is real and it needs to be addressed. Yes it would be great if more time and attention was devoted to global issues. There is also another issue that is rarely discussed. That is the fact that most feminists are revolutionary. However most feminist media supports the interests of big business which is as a result anti revolutionary. This means that the media have a need to focus on smaller issues making the movement look more petty then it really is.

Female privilege is not having to support a child financially for 18 years when you didn’t want to have it in the first place. 8. scared to live in a country where....

I am so scared to live in this country. A country where the next possible president is either an egotistical, lying, misogynist, sexist, racist, homophobic man with no political experience whatsoever or a lying woman who “speaks” for and “supports” whatever opinion/view suits her needs to gain votes. A country where 50 latinx LGBTQ+ members are murdered along with 53 injured and yet there are still people out there who believe they deserved it or that its not “that big of a deal”. A country where people are more disgusted by two men holding hands than a man slaughtering 50 people out of pure hate. A country where a white, 20 year old man can rape an uncouncious young woman and only serve a maximum sentence of 3 months. A country where people sympathize a rapist just because they believe it was a “mistake” or an “accident” and because he had a “promising” life ahead of him. How the fuck is that an accident? I’m scared to live in a country where a man gets turned on by a woman laying unconscious behind a dumpster and decides to rape her with foreign objects until she bleeds. A country where a rape victim is blamed for the actions done to them. A country where its easier to get a gun than birth control or a drivers license. A country where transgender people cannot use bathrooms and/or are forced to use the restroom of their biological sex and are humiliated. A country where people do not acknowledge transgender people or misgender them on purpose. A country where a lesbian relationship is sexualized and thought to be acceptable only for when it pleasures a man. A country where bisexuals are invalidated. A country where young women’s bodies are sexualized and are told to where modest clothing because it distracts the male population. A country where women are afraid to walk the streets alone, even in broad daylight, because they are scared they could be attacked. A country where minority lives are being taken solely because they are not white. A country that only seems respect the white population. A country where white priviledge exists.

I am truly mortified to live in this country, to be a part of it. It breaks my heart seeing these injustices take place right in front of my eyes. It breaks my heart to think about all the lives, all the beautiful souls we have lost because of this corrupted system that we call the American government. Most of all, it terrifies me. It terrifies me because just when I thought this country couldn’t get any worse, it did. All I feel I can do is hope and pray for change. But I feel like I should be responsible to take action and I plan to. I can’t stand for this anymore. I won’t. I don’t want to be scared anymore.

That's not true at all. Women don't get raped for wearing provocative clothing, they get raped because some guy/girl gets off on forcing random people to give them sexual pleasure.
