about me & request guidelines/boundaries

Hello! My name is Echo, and this is my sideblog where I’ll post things I’ve written. I’ve posted on my main in the past about considering starting to write x readers, and I’ll use this blog to experiment with that, as well as other writing. Right now, I’m mostly into Twisted Wonderland (who could’ve guessed!) but I have other interests as well.

Request Guidelines & Boundaries

Since I’ll be dedicating at least part (but probably most) of this blog to x readers and reader insert fics, I want to lay down some ground rules for which requests I’ll accept. While I can’t stop anyone from putting a request I don’t want in my inbox, if it falls under anything against my boundaries, please know that I won’t write it.

General Boundaries:

While I trust most people to know better, PLEASE do not spam my inbox with requests or insistences that I should get around to your request quicker. Pestering me is like, the easiest way to get me to not listen to your request.

As well as that, if you don’t like what I write… move on. Don’t read it. Don’t tell me how cringe it is or how much you hate it. I mean, you can, but I’ll block you.

Request Boundaries:

I will do:

✓ Platonic/familial reader inserts (as well as romantic ones)

✓ Fem reader, masc reader, or gender neutral reader (just make sure to clarify in your request which one you want. if you don’t, I’ll default to gender neutral)

✓ Hyper-specific requests (ex: certain physical attributes, personality traits, backstory details, plot details, doesn’t matter. get as specific as you want. you could say “echo! write me a story where the reader is an astronomy-loving catgirl with green skin who got isekai’d into night raven college and falls in love with (spins a wheel) vil!” and i’d be like “sure, i’ll try my best.”) specific plot requests are also super helpful to me because it means I don’t have to come up with the plot myself haha

✓ Genderbent or trans characters (though if theyre trans and still their canon gender, I may not find a way to fit it into the story .. unless you have a specific plot request that involves it)

✓ Oc x canon character (if youre requesting this, please dm me with details about your oc. the more details the better. personality & general info are most important, though)

✓ Plot-focused reader inserts (ex: “echo, write me a story where the reader solves a lighthearted mystery at nrc and isn’t in love with anyone!”)

✓ Polyamorous relationships (though, I’ll cap it off at 2 characters x reader because anything more is a bit harder to write. also, the characters need to be of an appropriate age gap, so no Leona & Epel x reader, okay?)

✓ Fandoms other than twst (even though twst will be my main one, feel free to ask if I can do another fandom. right now, I’m also really into ace attorney!)

✓ Specific word counts (as long as they aren’t ridiculous. don’t ask me for an 8k word fic, okay? fics without a specific word count may end up being longer, but they may also end up being shorter. however many words it takes to finish up the plot in a way I’m satisfied with will be the word count)

✓ Headcanons! Whether this be x reader headcanons, cc x cc headcanons, or miscellaneous character headcanons, I will write them out.

✓ AUs, though you’ll have to be specific with what you want.

✓ Most things, honestly. If you’re not sure, ask! Anonymous asks are on (and they will stay on as long as people behave), so there’s no reason to feel ashamed while asking about or requesting something.

I won’t do:

✗ Adult x minor (17 x 18 is fine though) or incest (including stepcest or adoptive family)

✗ On that note, if the reader insert in a fic is familial with one character, I won’t write them to be romantic with someone in the first character’s family. So, if the reader is Lilia’s daughter, for example, I won’t write her romantically with Silver or Malleus.

✗ NSFW of any kind. Not only am I not comfortable writing it, I don’t know how. I won’t write anything non-consensual either.

✗ x readers with any character who is younger than 16 in the current canon. Sorry, just a personal boundary. I’m also including Ortho Shroud in this. I know a part of the fandom views him as 16, but I do not.

✗ While I am okay with AUs, I’m not comfortable writing things like yandere AUs. It’s personal preference, and I’m sure there are plenty of other writers you can go to for those things.

✗ Aged up characters, for any reason. This doesn’t apply when you’re referring to canon timeskips.

✗ This should be a no-brainer but I’m including it anyway, I won’t write anything involving hate speech. Lol. So no homophobia or racism or any other kind of bigotry from either the characters or the narrative. Internalized homophobia is okay, though.

That should be it! I’ll update this in the future if need be.

Does It Count as Hand-Holding if You’re Doing Her Nails?

The woman across from you was staring directly into your eyes, and it was enough to make your heart flutter. She gestured downwards with only a look. Had you gotten distracted?

This woman was Mia Fey, a semi-prolific lawyer in the area, and repeat customer at your nail salon. For some reason, she always seemed to specifically request you whenever she came in to get her nails done, and you weren't sure why. Sure, you were good at your job, but so were your coworkers!

You shook your head repeatedly to clear it, turning your attention down to her nails. It'd been a few weeks since she'd come in to get them done again, and while they weren't in bad shape, this wasn't shaping up to be a short visit either. 

"So, um, how have you been lately?" you asked, trying not to glance into her eyes again. You feared that if you did, your heart might well and truly give out.

She rested her head on her free hand. "I've been alright. Nothing big has happened lately, so I've mostly been stuck in my office re-reading my files. You?"

"Nothing… well, nothing big has really, um… happened to me lately either," you replied, fumbling over your words slightly. Mia noticed this, and chuckled to herself.

"You're really my only repeat client," you continued, wanting to focus on anything but the woman before you.

"Am I, now? Well, I can't imagine why…" she smiled. "I know I wouldn't trust anyone else with my nails."

You felt your face grow warm, and you let out a nervous laugh. "Well, I- I mean, I'm really not that… um, thank you."

So you were her favourite, huh? The very thought almost made you pass out right then and there. You couldn't do that, though, because you had a job to do. You couldn't let compliments from a beautiful woman hinder you from working!

The next hour or so was filled with much of the same. Mia attempting to make small talk, and you barely choking out a reply. She talked about many things: her job, her younger sister, movies she'd seen recently, and the plant she kept in her office (which she had named 'Charley', and excitedly pulled her phone out to show you a picture).

Once the nail appointment had wrapped up, you turned to her again to say the usual "goodbye"s and "come again soon"s, but she stopped you. "[Name], was it?"

You nodded, forcing yourself to make eye contact with her.

"Could I get your phone number?" she asked.

You swore you could've died then and there, and died happy at that. "U-um… yes! Yes, of course!"

Fumbling around, you grabbed a piece of paper and wrote your number on it, handing it to her. She smiled and took it, making sure to brush hands with you as she did.

"Is… is there any reason why you..?" you questioned, practically shaking from the sheer exhilaration of the moment. 

"Well, it'd be a crime not to get the number of a pretty girl like you," she flashed you a smile. "And, I'm a lawyer, so I shouldn't commit crimes when I can avoid it."

That joke was terrible, but still, you just about fainted. You giggled nervously, and you could've sworn you'd look insane to just about any onlookers. Mia seemed unfazed, though.

"I'll call you later!" she told you, before leaving.

Reader :

Genderfluid, any prns and an astronomer

Scene :

Phoenix and reader came home after they both had a long day. They talk about their work and other stuff while cooking, eating n watching a movie tgt!! (Mayhaps Interstellar :3)

Its js supposed to be a cute lil fluff story 😋

After a Long Day

Phoenix Wright x GN!Reader | 1025 words

"I'm home!" you shouted, closing the front door behind you. It'd been, by all means, a fairly average day at your workplace. You couldn't say anything particularly interesting had happened… but sometimes, when looking up at space, that's for the best.

"Welcome back!" you heard your boyfriend, Phoenix, respond from the kitchen. You smiled, and hung up your coat by the door. Making your way into the kitchen, you noticed that he'd just finished washing his hands. Lightly shaking the water off them, he moved in to wrap his arms around you, planting a big kiss on your cheek.

"Eww, your hands are still wet!" You laughed, playfully pushing him away.

"Barely," he responded, a grin grossing his face. "So, how was your day?"

"Boring," you sighed. "Though, I can confirm the stars are as beautiful as ever."

"Too bad we can't see 'em with the naked eye in L.A. You think they'll ever let you keep one of the fancy telescopes at your work?" Phoenix asked, only half jokingly.

"Those are wayyy too big to take home, Phoenix," you smiled. "Anyway, enough about me. How was your day?"

His expression immediately dropped. "Not great…"

"New client?" you asked.

"Yup," he responded.

"All the evidence is stacked against them?" you continued.

Phoenix sighed. "Same as always."

"Aww, you'll pull through," you said. "You always do. Now, what're we gonna make for dinner?"

He glanced at you sheepishly. "You know, spending so much time with Maya lately has given me a real craving for burgers…"

"I would've thought after how many times you've taken her to get them, you'd be all burger'd out by now."

"You'd think so, huh? But anyway, do homemade burgers work for you? I picked up the stuff for them on the way back."

"Yeah, that works!"

The both of you washed your hands (Phoenix, for a second time), and began to prepare the ingredients.

"So, when's the trial?" you asked.

Phoenix gave you a look, and you immediately knew what it meant. "Tomorrow, huh?"

He nodded, as he began chopping an onion. "They never give us time for these things. Just go 'here's the defendant, you'll get your evidence in court tomorrow! Pssh, who needs time to prepare? Not lawyers!' I mean, I get a file to read over, but it always just says the same things I'll hear in court the next day."

"That's rough," you sympathized, kneading the spices into the ground meat. "What's the defendant like this time around?"

"Zookeeper," he responded. "Accused of pushing the victim into the lion enclosure. You know, it's really hard to prove someone didn't do that. To make it worse, the defendant and the victim have had a ton of conflict in the past… and the defendant is the lion enclosure's main keeper."

You frowned. "That's a tough one… but it's also the perfect scenario to allow someone to frame the defendant."

Phoenix added the diced onion to the meat mixture. "That's what I was thinking."

"You met the defendant today, right? What'd you think of them?" you asked, flattening balls of the meat mixture into patties. "Do they seem like they did it?"

He looked at you inquisitively. "Would I have taken someone's case if they did? Ah, actually, don't answer that. But no, she doesn't seem like she did it."

"I'm just glad you're not defending Maya again," you said. "How has she been, anyway? Staying out of trouble, I hope?"

Phoenix rolled his eyes. "Well, she hasn't been arrested in a while, but she still steals things from crime scenes all the time. I keep telling her I won't be able to bail her out or defend her if she gets caught, but she never listens…"

You tried to stifle a laugh, but it didn't work. "Really?"

He nodded, redirecting his focus to chopping vegetables while you watched over the sizzling patties in the pan. 

"Unfortunately, the evidence she steals has been crucial to more than one case…" he sighed. "Do you think those are done yet?"

You carefully inspected the patties. "Yeah, I think so."

The two of you assembled your burgers, and moved over to the kitchen table to eat them. More conversation was had over dinner, mostly to do with the other goings-on of the day. What your coworkers had been talking about, which prosecutor Phoenix would be facing the next day, and how he was sure these burgers would be his last for a while.

"Hmm…" you pondered, just having finished your meal. "Do you wanna watch a movie? It's fine if you can't, though, I understand that you're busy."

He smiled at you, and you could swear your heart skipped a beat. "You know what? Sure. It's not that late yet. Let's watch a movie. Got any suggestions?"

You smiled mischievously back at him. "Interstellar."

"Ah, of course. You're such a nerd…" he shook his head fondly. "Alright."

The two of you settled in on the couch, and you immediately rested your head on his shoulder as he sat down. You swore you saw his face flush slightly at the touch. He grabbed the remote and turned the TV on, leafing through options before finding Interstellar and turning it on.

As soon as the movie began to play, he turned back to you. "Ah… thanks, by the way. For letting me rant to you about my job earlier. It really helps to have someone I can talk to about it."

"Oh, it was no problem at all!" You were quick to reply. "I like hearing about your life. And talking to you in general… it's nice."

He caressed the side of your face with his palm, leaning in close. You didn't dare back away, instead opting to pull him in closer, and soon enough you felt his lips on yours. It'd been a long time since you first kissed him, and while the two of you had kissed many times since, you didn't think you'd ever tire of the feeling.

Despite that, though, you broke away after a few moments. "That was great, Phoenix, but you need to pay attention to the movie."

|| Author’s Notes: I can’t tell if Phoenix is easy or hard to write. I mean, he’s such a normal guy… for Ace Attorney standards, anyway. Also, Len (the requester), you don’t need to draw me anything in return for this… but I won’t say no to it if you wanna draw rook for me 👀 ||
