Adechina Grande was captured and sent to Cuba to be enslaved. Adechina was a IFA priest and he already new what was to occur before it happened, so he swallowed the IFA nuts that every initiate must have, because he new they would be needed. When he arrived in the land of enslavement, he shit them out, thoroughly washed and made the obligatory sacrifice. He then proceeded to counsel his people in there religion of IFA.

Adechina was such a upright and righteous man that even the slave masters admired and trusted him. When Adechina knew it was time to initiate new IFA priest inorder for our culture to continue, he new what had to be done.

Adechina literally snuck back to Africa to receive the Igba Odu, to initiate new IFA priest and bought it to Cuba.

So when you hear of Lukumi and Santeria and IFA in America, thank you Adechina.
