Welcome to UNDERTALE: Golden Route! An Alternative Universe where nothing back happens!

In the AU, Chara Dreemurr gains the power to SAVE and RESET, and the war on humanity is never declared. Thus, all the fallen humans are able to live out their lives... Mostly peacefully.

The AU features characters from Undertale and Undertale Yellow, as well as a new original cast of Humans. (Created and ran by @d1onysishere)

What would you like to know about the cast? Let me introduce them to you!

Chara Dreemurr, (They/Them) the adopted human child of the Dreemurr family. They are a co-ruler of the Underground with their brother and best friend, Asriel Dreemurr.

Eiden, (They/Them) the other adopted human child of Toriel, and the soul of Patience. They are the new caretaker of the Ruins.

Avery, (He/They) is a human Snowdin resident and the soul of Bravery. As a muscle for hire, his job requires a lot of moving around.

Integra, (Any/All) is the human soul of Integrity who resides in lower Waterfall with their monster companions. All they wish for is a life of peace, away from conflict.

Percy, (She/They) is a historian and teacher residing in Waterfall, as well as the human soul of Perseverance. She has quite the grasp on magic, and a fierce loyalty to the throne.

Cinder, (They/Them) is the human soul of Kindness who owns a greenhouse in Hotland, the safe haven among the blazing heat of the volcano. They are a little shy...

Clover, (They/Them) is your everyday cowboy trying to do what's right. They live in the Dunes, but work directly under the throne, not connected to the Royal Guard.

Happy 1 year Anniversary, UTGR.

So… It has officially been a year since the initial conception of Undertale: Golden route. Hoo boy, what a year.

When I initially drafted the idea for the AU, I only wrote a little bit; not really expecting for it to become anything in the long run.

I am very glad I was wrong about it. The making of this AU gave me the courage to create, to do art again, to learn pixel art, and, funnily enough- Start writing.

As all things start, it was just a concept at first. 

My idea was “What if Chara never died? What would be different then?”, and in my infinite wisdom, I wrote to my friends about this silly idea of mine.

They began adding onto it, and eventually, we thought that the idea was too interesting to simply fade into non-existence as I previously expected.

Really interesting how far a single idea can go, isn’t it?

I am making this post because the project’s 1st anniversary seems kind of like a big deal.

Golden Route’s official conception date is 02/28/2025, or February 28th, 2025.

Golden Route’s existence means a lot to me, as it’s one of the projects that led me to my social media journey, and helped me to meet many great people.

Even though the project will take a lot of time to fully realize…

I am willing to put the time and effort needed to make Golden Route into the best AU it can be!

I really wish I had more to say about this, but the anniversary post is already four days overdue…

The least I can do is say thank you to all those who have followed us this year and hopefully will continue to follow as the project goes on.

Golden Route is a pretty large AU, and seeing it through to the end will surely be a monumental task.

Thank you for following, and let’s share a slice of cake for many great celebrations to come. (We are going to be here for a long time…)

Happy Holidays from UTGR!

A year comes to a close, and with this we can finally discuss all that has happened.

Golden Route has only been in development for slightly less than a year; Since the start of March, in fact! So, how much did we end up accomplishing?

Surprisingly a lot…

It has been quite a busy year. Since the conception of Golden route, to the initial writing of the story and design of the characters… It all took quite a bit of time, hasn’t it?

Golden Route is an AU me and my friends hold really near and dear to our hearts, as our passion project and a love letter to Undertale and Toby Radiation Fox. So, it is in our best interest to make the story as engaging and interesting as possible.

So, about our progress: It’s been going steady! The general plot for Neutral route has been finished and just requires some minor polishing and detailing.

We already have some ideas for Pacifist and Genocide, as well. (Frankly, too many ideas…)

The epilogue is somewhat close to being done. It’s been written, is what I'm saying.

We cleaned up some panelling, made some mock-up dialogue, all the works. Character designs for some of the Monster cast have also been finished and polished, and there’s one we are especially excited about! You don’t get to know who it is yet.

Personally, my favourite part about the whole project has been designing all these fun characters and their interactions with one another. Even though some duos are a bit more obvious than others, I would like to think that later down the line everyone will get to see the brand new cast’s full potential.

This whole AU is a pretty big commitment, I admit, but so far it has been a fun ride and I could not be more glad that all those reading have decided to come along!

Hi! Deph here, the certified Percy fangirl, co-write and dialogue writer for the golden route! This project has been probably the best thing that happened to me all year. Dio is a wonderful work partner and hanging out with them over the course of the project and writing for it has been a blast, and probably my favourite part of the entire project, alongside engaging with this game we all love. I wish I could spend more time writing for it, but law schools pretty relentless, and I really thank you all for your patience(I couldn't find a way to fit all human souls into this message I'm sorry. Y'all have to make do with Eiden HAHA)

I am going to let @nuvaa finish this letter now. Just to make them feel included.

Wait huh what am I doing here.

Hey I’m Nuva, and I’ve contributed one single minor story thing and that’s it. I’m not even a writer, I just asked for a link to The Document™ when those other two were working on it and just got it, but one of my goals is to write more than the co-writer cuz it would be funny. (You are not succeeding-Deph:3) Honestly watching Dio and Deph make this has been fun. It’s always entertaining to get sent some of The Sillies™ that they make. I hope to contribute more towards this project and help make it into something great. Now that this message is longer than what Deph wrote, I’m gonna stop padding out the word count and do something productive.

So that’s about it for the post! Thank you a lot to all those who have followed us through on this journey. It has truly been a blast, and we all hope we get many more like it, and hopefully finish the entire project… eventually…

By no doubt, this AU is going to be a big commitment. But we are full of determination to see it through!

About time i reveal some characters from the Undertale canon in Golden Route!

So, here we have: Sans, Papyrus and Undyne!

Sans is a humble hotdog vendor stationed in Snowdin town, working under the MTT corporation. He is only monster manning the stands in all of Snowdin, so it's really not his fault if somebody ends up getting a hotdog for free, right?

Papyrus is a truly and endlessly beloved by ALL (honorary) Member of the Royal Guard! Stationed in Snowdin, he has!! Absolutely zero duties as a Royal Guard. But it's fine! Soon he will prove himself to be even greater than he already is, and ascend the ranks even FURTHER!

Undyne, warrior of Justice by day and a punk rockstar by night, is adored by many in Waterfall! Her tunes ignite a fire in the watery depths of the biome, and the SOULs of any and all monster who listens to her. Her and her bandmates are possibly the most popular group in all of Underground, their popularity rivaling that of even MTT!
