Immortal Janet talking to another immortal being would just be-
“Please tell me how to survive this because I am tired of existing already.”
Despite loving the chance to continue to learn and grow, her mental state would be slowly deteriorating from paranoia and being unable to form meaningful bonds with others.
History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.
does anyone know any artists who are open to drawing reference sheets and specifically can draw cyborgs?
asking for my second blog...
“I don’t appreciate my camera being used for inane photos! Do you know how much that film costs!? I have to budget it already!”

"I am not crying about him!" Janet scoffed at the very idea. "I simply broke my watch and perhaps my wrist when I fell!"
She could admit to being startled by the situation. Usually she was the one who started fights. However the string of curses that had escaped her afterwards were mostly directed at the broken timepiece. The glass had shattered when she failed to catch herself and there were bruises forming on her wrist that she tried to hide in her sleeve.
"Besides, I can handle myself."
There was a pause as she realized her reaction time had been too slow. She hadn't even been able to reach for her own weapon. Even with her dominant hand being injured she still should have defended herself better. She had let down her guard and it had come to bite her.
"I- I must say I don't like being followed home by strange men. Saving my life or not."
lykaiia:
“Well so much is rooted in superstition that it only makes sense.” It wasn’t all that long ago that science was considered witchcraft and sorcery. “I guess it’s hard to shake things like that. With that, I agree. Curses are rarely thrown about without reason, so if there’s a secret it is practically begging to be found. But I don’t think we’re going to find any ghosts, spirits, or otherwise guarding whatever’s left.” As far as she knew, she was the most supernatural thing on the castle grounds at the moment.
Again she followed the beam of light with her eyes, though why she wasn’t entirely sure. The light wouldn’t uncover something she couldn’t already see. If anything, curiosity was to blame. The light gave a sense of where she was looking, even if all that was to be seen was rubble and dust.
“Surely there’s something underground. Assuming they were hidden by whoever owned them previously. This was a castle, wasn’t it? I’d want a hidden chamber to store my occult items, doubly so if I was a real witch.” Underground caverns were staples in many old-style castles, weren’t they? It seemed a strong possibility. There were no deep forests to run away to and hide magical evidence in around here, so the next best thing would have to do. “Then it’s a question of where.”
Castles and dungeons weren’t exactly her forte, but was the fun in finally catching prey not due largely to the effort expended beforehand? If there was no challenge, there was no real reward. The same applied in work, in the hunt…why not treasure hunting?
She stepped away from the ruined doorway and crouched down, easily pushing aside a large piece of rubble to get a better look at the ground beneath. If there was any weight behind her theory, something on the ground should point her in the right direction. “Couldn’t sleep. Thought I’d go for a walk and see where that took me. But turns out I wasn’t alone since I found you here. Don’t people usually go in groups when they’re looking for something, especially in pitch darkness? Take a trusted team out with them in case something goes wrong?” Sure, there was the moon overhead providing some light, but that didn’t make things any less dangerous.
"Oh come on, there's got to be at least one ghost around here! Maybe not guarding anything but still..." Janet spoke almost teasingly though she would have loved to actually see a supernatural being amongst the rubble.
As she slowly crept between stone and dirt she occasionally would stomp on the ground. It was an attempt to find a hollow spot yet was a failure each time. "Underground is very likely. It's just a matter of finding a way down there. There's no recorded basement on any official diagrams or maps but that doesn't mean it wasn't hidden. If we are lucky there might be something that the locals haven’t noticed."
"To be fair I did try to raise some interest and funds for a proper, official, and legal investigation of the site. Unfortunately no one was really interested. When I was younger you could nearly fund any project granted it was strange enough. These days it’s all paperwork and being the next big thing!" A brief silence was had before she giggled. "But yes, having a team does help. Doesn't stop things from going wrong though!"
While speaking she had been trailing her fingers over a worn down wall. Each brick seemed like the last until she felt a carving and quickly turned her light upon it. Barely visible and worn away by time was a downward facing triangle. "Oh would you look at this! An alchemist lived here by the looks of it! This is the alchemical symbol of water! Or it could be a random triangle. I don’t suppose you’ve got a water bottle with ya? "
For a moment she considered telling her new companion that the treasure she sought was probably not worth the time spent looking for it. Instead she decided to cross that bridge when she got there. There had to be at least one thing of value she could hand over so they could part ways without one ratting the other out.

❝ i can do that as well. ❞ plum replied with a smile. fixing jewelry for people was also part of the job after all. and those pieces at times mean so much to the person as well, her mind flashes back to some earrings she had to fix for someone that was now a very good friend now…. things like this may always hold special meanings.
holding out her hand to carefully hold the locket, crimson pupils looked over the chain carefully, more so the section where it was broken. muttering softly about the materials the chain was made on as well as the thickness of the chain and segments without really looking at the small tag that told what sort of metal it was.
❝ it can be fixed. ❞ she replied as she finally shifted her gaze to the red-head. ❝ it’s missing a segment right now but i can put it together as it is or add a new segment to it to keep it its original length. this can be done in less than a day. if you have a place you need to be for some time i’ll need you to fill out a paper for me to contact you when it’s done. ❞
The moment the locket was taken from her she regretted not removing it from the chain beforehand. It was only the chain that needed fixing, and she should have taken the locket and kept it somewhere safe. Now it was too late to take it back without looking awkward. Besides, a professional jeweler wasn't just going to lose it. Or so she hoped. "I liked it at the length it was, so if you could put it back like that I'd be very grateful." Janet answered with a small nod. The less change the better. "And I plan on staying in the area! Of course I'll fill out anything you need me to though."
She found herself looking around the shop, gemstones and crafted jewellery catching her eyes. It wasn't often she found herself around such pretty objects. Even if she hardly wore any herself she could at least appreciate the sparkles. "Is everything here made in-house?"
Janet interacting with Inspector Zenigata would just be a whole lot of “I ain’t saying nothing” because she doesn’t trust cops or government officials in any context. Did Lupin just rob her blind of her most important research? Maybe. Is she going to trust the police to handle it? Nope.
