BREAKING NEWS March 17th Blackout written by Michelle Morton
Today, the power was restored to the City and everything is back in full swing after thirteen long days. Many people are trying to recover and buy food as refrigerators were rendered useless during the power outage. Victoria Bradshaw’s film’s premiere has been rescheduled for later this week and the stars will come out again.
The cause of the power outage has still not been determined at this time. However, authorities do believe that someone deliberately cause the blackout and that it was not an accident or a case of faulty wiring. Still, with no solid proof, it is being written down as mechanical failure.
Authorities also continue to investigate the mysterious death of Scott Sheffield, who was found dead during the blackout. If anyone has information regarding the death of Scott Sheffield, you are encouraged to go to the police department and share. Additionally, if you have any information regarding the blackout and what caused it, please share with the police department.

BREAKING NEWS March 15th Body Identified written by Michelle Morton
The body found on March 13th has been identified as Scott Sheffield, 24. Sheffield is confirmed to have been a graduate student at Lovelace University and was studying to be a psychologist. He was well known for volunteering with various formidable divisions of people who dedicated themselves to helping others.
He was kind and faithful to his friends and loved by many more. In addition, he was known for his humor, interest in photography, love for animals and cars, and his talent for impressions. He will be deeply missed on the Lovelace University campus and in the City.
Sheffield’s family has been contacted, but communication has proven to be difficult due to the blackout. Despite this, his fellow classmates have decided to arrange a vigil for him, which will be held on March 17th at the Royal Gardens. He is survived by his mother, father, and two brothers.
Dr. Ava Coleman has determined that his cause of death was blunt force trauma. Authorities are still trying to discern whether it was an accident or whether there was foul play involved.
BREAKING NEWS March 13th Body Found written by Michelle Morton
As the Blackout continues to drag on within the City, a horrendous discovery has been discovered. A body was found at the Royal Gardens in the Midtown District of the City.
Ava Coleman, the medical examiner, has yet to determine a cause of death. While it is not official, authorities suspect foul play as the victim’s wallet was stolen. Detective Adam Seong believes that the victim also carried something else that was stolen.
The victim, currently referred to as John Doe, appears to be a young man between the ages of twenty three and twenty eight. He has a scar across his cheek that runs down the right side of his face. If you or someone else knows who this person is, please speak with the police as soon as possible.
Many are impatiently waiting and hoping for the end of the bewildering blackout. With the finding of this body, many are also beginning to fear for their safety.
BREAKING NEWS March 8th Blacout written by Michelle Morton
For nearly a week, the City has been shutdown due to the mysterious blackout that happened during the premiere of Victoria Bradshaw’s newest film. The lights were shining and the fashion was dazzling, but once the lights went out, all hell broke loose. People were panicked and frightened and began to run around like chickens with their heads cut off (metaphorically speaking.)
An investigation was launched in an attempt to determine what caused the blackout, but there have been no clear answers or even clues for leads. At this time, the City is working furiously to repair the damage and restore power to everyone.
Unfortunately, the blackout has caused some extreme damage, particularly for local restaurants as they cannot store or save their food. Many restaurants are selling their food as fast as they can in an effort to not let it go to waste. Along with the impending cold front, the City is in trouble if power is not restored.

BREAKING NEWS February 27th Valentine’s Day Mixer written by Michelle Morton
Following a successful Valentine’s Day Mixer, hosted by our very fantastically delightful Mayor Thomas Parrish, he has decided to make the Valentine’s Day Mixer an annual event. The money collected will surely be donated to the charity that Sybil Halloway passionately supported.
Despite such a raving good time for everyone else, two people unfortunately got food poisoning. However, the occurrence is particularly strange as no one else reported any symptoms following the event. Surely, the case of the food poisoning is nothing to be concerned about. Any one with possible food poisoning should stay indoors so that no one catches such a vile virus.
Food poisoning is one of the more common poisonings that occur that often lead to unlucky and rather wretched symptoms that you are best talking to your doctor about. Despite food poisoning being miserable, it is far better to have food poisoning instead of arsenic poisoning.
The next Valentine’s Day Mixer will be held next year on Valentine’s Day with the venue to be decided.
