ochako being a strong fighter is a characteristic of hers that she’s already developed prior to being a hero in training. with how busy her parents are, they weren’t always there for her to protect her. in general, she adored the concept of being the one to stand up to others when others aren’t there!

that is to say, ochako wasn’t exactly the nicest girl. she’s been through a small amount of fights for the sake of protecting herself or another person. even with quirks, she believed that people should still posses a good amount of physical strength that isn’t reliant to whatever power they have! it’s one of the reasons why she took gunhead’s proposal.
