Me fr, like pretransition I hated the color pink because young year old me considered it too predictable and "girly". But now I love the color pink, especially once I started dissolving the "colors = gender" bullshit.

This post aims to become and be a [tumblr] user driven, actively updated repository of #tags that scammers are using to promote their scams.
These scams can take many forms, be them via asks, DM's, or, more common now'a'days, the comments section of your posts!
Here is the index of scams, please check it out!
If you wish to help in this effort to combat scams and help users know that scammers are lurking in certain areas, I ask that if you are reading this post, please check what tags I've listed below first before leaving a comment. If you don't see a tag listed that you know is being used by scammers, check the original post I've made (not a reblog of this post!) to see if this has been updated recently. If you still don't see a tag that you know is being used, please feel free to leave a comment below with what tag it is!
My only request is that when commenting, please make sure tags are easily searchable and findable, and that you let me know what kind of scam is going on there. Please try to list tags like this:
#art, #artist, #artwork or the tags I see this in are: 'art, artist, and artwork'
If possible, please avoid leaving vague comments like this:
'I see this a lot in the <fandom>.'
If there is a scam targeting, for example, LGBT+ related tags and it involves selling fake medicine, you can leave a comment here or send me an ask (anons are fine!) or DM like this:
"Scammers are using the #trans #nb #nonbinary tags and are commenting on users posts offering them free HRT/Testosterone medicine. Here's an example <link>."

🎨Art and Commission Related Tags🎨
scorittanius was able to figure out a year ago with the help of @ai-art-thieves that scammers were using certain tags artists were using to peddle the art commission scam in DM's.
Back then, those tags were:
#sketch, #my art, #art, #artists on tumblr
Now, not only have they branched out to using these tags to perform the 'I accidentally reported your account' scam, they've begun using these art related tags as well:
<list pending, if any artists want to throw out bait or know any tags that will land them scam comments, please comment or send an ask/DM as mentioned above, you can also send a link with those tags so I can verify as well!>

🤖Fandom Related Tags 🤡
Some fandoms have many different tags associated with them, which not everyone will openly know about or use, much like this user who was kind enough to tell me that scammers were using a fandom they frequented to try and scam others!
ben-the-hyena @scam-alerts Oh I don't get those personally but these days when I look at comments of a post I like I find those. For the Don't Eat the Neighbours fandom, which also has for tags #DetN, #Big Teeth Bad Breath (alternate title), #Dont eat the Neighbours, #Dont eat the Neighbors, #Don't eat the neighbors

The scams that target this tag tend to vary, ranging from sugar daddy/baby scams, to free money scams, and free HRT/Testosterone scams.

One of the biggest things to remember, is that if a stranger randomly approaches you offering you something free and the offer seems too good to be true? There's always a catch.
Remember: You should never have to give money, to get money.
Always make sure to report those accounts, their DM's, and their comments.

Imagine if there was a magical instrument (like for example: a Dulcitone) that would only grant wishes if the player knows how to play and how it works.
For extra pizzazz: The instrument will only grant wishes in it's hometown. Which happens to be the place the first of it's kind was built/invented (using the Dulcitone, then it'd be in Glascow, iirc)
