I am aware of the fact that this type of masterlist is hard and flawed, but due to my few number of fics at the moment, this should suffice. I will edit it if I need to.

To be preyed on by an unknown force, and to be powerless as the world keeps crashing down around you. As all hope gets lost when you’re left with no choice, will you finally give in?
Disclaimer: TW mentions of blood, and horrible plot and flow from the writer due to writing at 5 am. Inspired by this line.
He’s been terrorizing the kingdom for some time now. Burning the crops, killing the animals, making residents disappear, its almost as if he’s toying with all of you. Who is he anyways? You don’t know, you all don’t know. You see your parents’ dark circles go darker and deeper from stress. How you wake up in the middle of the night to hear them pacing around and arguing. Not only was this god destroying your empire, it also destroyed your family’s once happy relationship.
One night though, you expected to hear your parents argue again as you woke up, but as you glanced to your window, a faint light became more noticeable as it grew in luminosity. Curiosity took ahold of your body, and step by step, you slowly made your way to see what was glowing in the dark depressing night... but then you saw him. Him whose cold blue eyes met yours, and it felt so surreal to finally see the god who made the lives of innocents their entertainment field, their little game.
It was ironic, he who looked like an angel, whose blond hair and ocean blue eyes sparkled like the stars, committed so many atrocities that terrorized your kingdom. An angel who killed and tortured so many people, just because of seemingly endless boredom. This man who ruined your future, now facing you, obviously unfazed with the thought of someone finally seeing his form. You don’t even remember what happened next, you just know he disappeared as quickly as he came, and as you walk back to your bed, you feel fear inching from your spine all the way down your back as you thought of the possibility of disappearing next.
Surprisingly, the next few days went smoothly. In fact, it all went perfectly well. The kingdom suffered no casualties nor problem, and it finally seemed like the god lost interest on all of you. People are starting to be happy again, cheerful for the more than welcome change of events. This celebration though, would unfortunately vanish on one faithful night. One by one, people left their houses to see the night sky, as they only see the dim moon, and nothing more. The sky looked pitch black, no sign of stars no clouds. It felt so claustrophobic, like the shadow finally catching up to swallow you whole, and yet it felt intriguing to watch. Though terrifying, it felt amazing to see, and yet things would only go downhill from here, as this night marks the start of the annihilation of your beloved empire.
One by one, people started dropping dead. The way they find the body is all the same, facing down, spread like a starfish. Their blood forming a pentagram below them all by itself. Every passing day, the tension and stress grew more and more, as the people who would die start creeping in at the palace, maids and butlers just found in the same position, pentagrams below the cadavers. It was horrifying enough for you and your family, yet the scar would only run deep as the day came when you saw your parents facing down in the throne room, dead. Their blood moving on their own, almost like small leeches slowly crawling to their prey.
You shake in fear and you felt your body go cold, you feel your eyesight blur from shock, and all those clashing emotions and numbing pain seizes to exist as you felt hands on your shoulders. “I hope you like the stars I stole for you...” The blond man pointed at the ceiling, where countless sparkles started illuminating the room. You stayed silent, anger and fear overtaking you. “You like them, right?” He spoke again, and yet you couldn’t answer. “I hope you fancy them, because you’d spend a whole eternity with me..” His grip tightens as he chuckles, and you felt your hands pulled up by unseen forces, chains forcing them up and tying them in place. As his blue eyes met yours again, you silently begged for mercy, but you knew.

The lullaby is called ‘The Cradle Song' by James Scott Skinner.
Parting ways could be the most heartbreaking experience, especially if its the man you loved all your life. His last wish is something simple, yet you hesitate, but if it makes him happy, maybe it will lessen the pain of knowing you’ll never feel his presence again.
Eichi was silent as he looked at the sun setting in his hospital room. He could feel his lungs fail him, slowly but surely. “The sun looks beautiful dearest, don’t you think so?” You nod, smiling yet feeling so much pain to see him like this. Eichi looked at the window again, “Such beautiful hues of red and oranges, so romantic and lively, and yet the night will turn this into blue sea of nostalgia and silence.” You tuck him with the blanket, "Are you cold dear?” ”No, my love.” He smiled at you, warm light kissing his pale skin, he looked so peaceful. “You’re becoming poetic.” “Perhaps its the feeling of the end nearing.” You look down, not meeting his gaze. Tears already tempting to leave your eyes. Eichi moved slowly, holding your hand. “I’m sorry.” “For what?” “For loving you.” Stunned, you took a deep breath, before intertwining your fingers with his. “It’s not your fault, don’t apologize dear.” “No.. I-” Eichi looked into your eyes, before looking at the sun, as if he’s finding something on the horizon. ”-I knew it would all come to this, and yet I chose to be selfish and love you. I chose to be greedy and call you mine...” “Hey.. Eichi.. look at me love..” Eichi turned his head towards you, the light making him look like at angel. “If you didn’t confess, we wouldn’t be able to create these precious memories right..?” “Hah.. yes..” He smiled, but averted his gaze.
“Love, can you sing for me?” “Sing? Sing what?” You widen your eyes at his request. “A lullaby, I want you to sing for me. Please?” You shyly look away, you could hold a tune, but compared to him, you were nothing. “But Eichi.. I’m not exactly good at it..” “Please love..? One last request..?” “O-okay..” You were hesitant, but you can’t refuse him in his state, you want to refuse the way this will go, but deep in your heart, you know he’ll be gone from your arms soon. “What lullaby do you want?” “Anything.. just sing..” You cleared your throat, not knowing how to start but you have to, just for him, just to make him happy in his last hours. “Lullaby and good night, With roses bedight. Creep into thy bed, There pillow thy head...” He looked so beautiful, his eyes focused on you, smile so genuine you could feel warmth. “If God will thou shalt wake, When the morning doth break. If God will thou shalt wake, When the morning doth break...” His eyes close, and you feel his grip on your hand slowly lose strength. The tears you were holding back starts to choke you, and you instantly let them stream down your face. “L-Lullaby and good night, Those blue eyes.. close- tight... Bright angels are near, So sleep- without fear...” You gasp for air, his grip gone now, glancing at the monitor to see his heart beat slower and slower. “They will guard thee from harm, With fair dreamland's sweet charm. They will guard thee from harm.. With fair dreamland's sweet charm...” As you finish the song, you end up letting all the tears go, you couldn’t breathe, but you didn’t care. He’s gone now, the beeping of the monitor loud yet no noise reach your ears. You lay your head on his chest, not feeling his heart thump anymore, he felt colder, yet he looked so serene, so peaceful, as if his final wish was granted and he was happy to leave forever. As you held his hand close to your chest and kissed his forehead, you hoped he goes into the afterlife with happy memories, and that he feels at peace, knowing he parted ways with you in the most bittersweet yet beautiful way possible.

Overworking can’t be avoided, especially in situations where you have too much work with too little time. What you forgot to bear in mind though, is the fact that it could definitely bring more harm than good. Will you really be okay with your boyfriend taking care of you, when he’s much more busy and his health is in more danger compared to you?
You've been slumped over your desk for quite a while now, you want to do all the work you could but you brain just won't start. You look over to your desk clock, seeing its already 16:37 and you haven't finished anything. You lazily gathered the documents you haven't finished for the student council, glancing at your untouched homework. Piles of notebooks and books with bookmarks that you haven't read yet. You really wanted it done but you just can't. You brew another cup of coffee, you feel like fainting but you don't feel like it, you feel like crying but you can't let it out. Your eyes would close and you sip the coffee in an attempt to fight it, but before you could finish a single document, you feel dizzy and everything went dark.
When you woke up, you were on your bed, your boyfriend sitting beside you. The desk looks clean, coffee nowhere to be seen. The clock reads 18:43, and that’s when it dawned on you. Did you pass out? You tried getting up, but you start to feel dizzy. "I'm not letting you work in that condition." "But Eichi-" "No, you need to rest." You relaxed on the bed, silent knowing he's not gonna budge especially with something regarding your health, but it wouldn't hurt to try, would it? "Eichi please? I need to get work done, the deadline's near." "Dear, if it comes down to it, I'll help you get it done." You pout in defeat, realizing he'll force you to rest if he has to.
He put his hand over your forehead, "See? Even your temperature's rising." Eichi grabbed the wet towel he prepared on your bedside drawer. "You say that as if you already knew I'm catching a fever." "That's because I already did." He placed the towel on your forehead. "I saw you sitting on your desk, I thought you were asleep, but it seems you fainted. I carried you from there to your bed, and that's when I noticed your temperature's hotter than usual." "I'm surprised you figured that out so quickly." "Dear, we cuddle every night. I know what your normal temperature should be." You smile at the thought, he's so busy that the time you spend is only when you two rest. "Thanks Eichi, but please, I don't want you wasting time on me. I can handle it, I promise." Eichi looked at you, almost disappointed with your statement. "Taking care of you is not a waste of time. We both know that even if you tried to work, you'll end up racking your brains until you faint again."
You frown at his statement, you hate to admit it but he’s right. All this stress and workload really burned all your energy. With Eichi’s health being fragile, you feel guilty that not only did you worry him, you also have to deal with the risk of him getting sick. “I’m sorry Eichi.. I just don’t want you to catch my fever.. I really don’t want to cause you any trouble.” Eichi was silent for a while, only looking at you solemnly. “You’ve cared for me many times, I just want to repay you.-” He glanced at your desk, but he seems to be looking beyond that. “I was worried when I felt your temperature hotter than usual, you weighed more as well.. I thought maybe it was my fault than I didn’t notice what you were going through, that I was too busy to see that you have been pushing yourself too hard.. I apologize if I wasn’t doing enough to care for you.” You sighed at his remarks, is he really blaming himself for what happened?
“It’s not your fault Eichi, I should know how to take care of myself.-” You tap his hand, asking for his attention. “Look, I’ll rest here okay? I promise I won’t push myself to do more work, and I’ll ask for your help if I can’t do it when I’m feeling better.” Eichi smiled, taking your hand to kiss it. “Okay, I’ll go get you some food to eat, you need dinner dear.” “Thank you Eichi.” He didn’t respond, but he seemed happier than before. You watched him as he left your room and closed the door, finally feeling at peace. Ring, ring! The loud and almost obnoxious ringtone ruined your mood. Just when you finally thought you could relax, your phone rang. “Hello..?” “Hey, it’s me, Mao. Where are the documents? The deadline’s tomorrow.” “Ah.. Yeah about that..” You brace yourself, hoping your boyfriend has free time for later.
A dance with death could plant a seed where romance blooms. Will you accept his ‘love’ knowing you’ll only spiral down?
TW Mentions of; murder and blood, a bit suggestive
You look upon the incoming visitors, some princes from faraway lands, mostly nobles who’d like to get a taste of absolute power. Each one bores you, always so polite and kind, hiding their real intentions with blinding jewelry and sophisticated words. This man you bumped into however, is a special case. “Ah, I’m sorry dear princess.” You furrow your eyebrows, ‘dear princess’? “Oh I apologize, I meant your highness.” The man only smiled as if saying nothing wrong, lucky for him, you’re more than willing to humor him. “How about a dance to make up for it?” “I like your style-..” He tilts his head, smiling innocently like a kid, “-princess.” What a jerk, but you love it.
You lead him to the dance floor, hand on his. As the music starts, his posture suddenly becomes posh, and he started to have an aura of a prince. His movements flowed like water, and he radiated like a star. “You haven’t told me your name.” “Apologies, I was busy looking at your beauty.-” You feel him inch closer as he swayed you to the rhythm. “-The name’s Hiyori.” “And what’s the reason you attended the ball?” You feel the sharp end of a small blade pressed into your neck. “I’m here to end your life.”
You smirked, of course the criminals end up being the interesting ones. ”I’d rather your lips touch my neck than that blade.” You whispered slowly into Hiyori’s ear, attempting to distract him, and you could see a smirk grace his face. He lowered you as the music halts, before leaning over to be as close to your neck as possible. You could feel his breathing inch closer, and soon enough, his lips were pressed gently on your skin. “Are you going to persuade me to spare you dear princess?” “Does seducing count?” He suddenly pulled you close, almost like he’s giving a free invitation to surprise him. “You’re quite bold princess.” “You’re the one who has a knife pressed onto my neck. Don’t you think it’s unfair?” You chuckled, gently pushing the knife away as you kissed the corner of his lips. “Maybe you’re just falling in love with me princess.” “How about you figure it out yourself?” Hiyori smiled, “I’ll entertain you further then.”
The dance felt like ages, his dagger still close to him, ready to end you, but dancing with death has never been more thrilling than this. His arm coiled around your waist, face centimeters away from you, he keeps looking at your lips and its starting to frustrate you. “You seem eager to kill me with suffocation.” The young man chuckled and pulled you closer, lips so close you could feel his kiss upon yours. “It would be the most pleasurable murder I’d commit in my life if I get to kiss you until you run out of breath.” “Pardon me good sir, but do I leave you that breathless that you’d take my life for it?” “Perhaps, dear princess.” Hiyori placed a chaste kiss on your hand, before kissing your palm softly. “I still wonder if you’d fallen for me though, I’d like to know if my charm has swept you off your feet.” “Still hasn’t figured it out I see.” You smirked as he spun you around.
As the music stops, Hiyori pulled you close for one last time, hand going down from your waist to your hip, just stopping before it goes down any further than that. “I’ll miss our little tango, dear princess” “Really now? Should I expect you to be back then?” “You sound like you want it.” Hiyori tightens his grip and caresses your cheek. “I’d miss your pretty face princess.” “And you think I’d miss yours?” “Your words crush my heart your highness, maybe I should slit your throat just as I was tasked.” You closed in and whispered in his ear, “I’m afraid you can’t-“ showing him the dagger he loved to rest on your throat “-You were so distracted looking at me that snatching this became insanely easy.” Hiyori grabbed your hand, but never took the dagger and only put it down. “I’ve no interest in killing you that would result in blood splattering all over. I would prefer that method of suffocation.” He smirked, knowing he’s slowly pushing your buttons to make him do what he wants. “Don’t be shy, you just want an excuse to kiss me.”
“Is that an invitation?” He swiftly gets the dagger from your hand, pressing it to your neck again. “I always leave my mark on my victims, but I’d like to try another kind, but why don’t I show you in private?” He grabs your hand and leads you to the empty hallway, pinning you to the wall to kiss you, making sure he takes control. He puts away his dagger, using his other hand to move your chin downward, before tilting his head to get more of you, exploring all you have with his hands uncontrollably roaming on your body. He placed chaste kisses from the corner of your lips traveling down to your neck, where he gently chewed, leaving an obvious mark of his hickey. You feel hazy and hot, damn he’s good. He kisses you again, pulling you as close as he could muster, desperate for more. After what felt like an eternity in heaven, he breaks from the kiss, leaving you breathless. “Seems you failed your assassination.” “How unfortunate, perhaps I should try again?” He looked at your lips once again, but you quickly put your thumb over his lips. “How about you try next time?” “You just can’t get enough of me princess.” “You’re the one who was so desperate to taste me.” Hiyori chuckled, before giving you a peck in the cheek, “I’d certainly wait for the day I get to leave more marks on you.” He waved goodbye, smirking as he left. You couldn’t help but think of the man, just one night and he drove you crazy, but perhaps you can do the same until he loses his cool. This day marks the beginning of your competition, to see who lasts, and to see who’s going to have the final laugh.

An arranged marriage is a nightmare in of itself, maybe not so much if its to the ‘perfect king-to-be’, but the road could be bumpy if he has a possessive streak.
“You look lovely, your majesty.” You smiled at your maid, then gazed into the mirror. You’ve never dressed this way before, you looked phenomenal, the most expensive and clear diamonds adorning your neck and wrists, pearls that made you look like a goddess. A gown full of frills and embellishments made from the finest silk. All these excessive preparations to meet the prince of the neighboring kingdom. Prince Eichi Tenshouin, known as an outstanding commander and a compassionate leader, some might even say he’s the perfect heir to an empire. You never thought your parents would result to using you as their bargaining chip, but you’re a woman, and a woman is not fit to lead a kingdom they say, so hearing the news didn’t surprise you that much. What surprised you though, is the fact that Eichi's family agreed. You stood from your chair, gathering the fabric to walk faster. “Are you ready?” “Yes father.” “Come on now dear, we wouldn’t want to make your husband wait.” “Yes mother.” You sat in the carriage, silent as you and your family went on your way to meet your husband for the very first time.
The hallways of the Tenshouins’ castle was magnificent, the ceiling full of small diamonds that glittered like stars in the night sky. Tall marble pillars that are accentuated with gold. Everything about it screams wealth. On the throne sits Eichi’s father, who looked at you unfazed and even unimpressed. “Dear, go to the garden and wait there, we’ll have a chat with the king for now.” You nod at your mother, following the maid who will show you the way. As you were leaving, you heard Eichi’s father speak again, “You two were right, this would be a great idea.” A great idea? Your parents were the ones who brought this proposal up? You feel your body go cold in a matter of seconds, fear and anger combining and your nervousness made it worse. You feel like fainting right now, but you have to push through this. The cold breeze from the garden cleared your mind, as you entered it though, you were already faced with one of your problems. “Good morning princess, I wasn’t expecting you to be here so early.”
Just your luck, you didn’t expect him to be here already, then again, it’s his castle. “Good morning your highness.” You bowed as a sign of respect, their kingdom is significantly powerful than yours after all, “There’s no need for those formalities. Our parents already decided that we would be betrothed.” You took a deep breath, right, you two are going to be trapped together for as long as you two live. “If I may ask, do you know the reason why this arrangement happened?” “You don’t know?” “No, my parents did not tell me anything other than the fact that this marriage will happen.” Eichi gestured at the table, “Let’s sit for now, you probably feel tired after the journey.” You followed suit, and watched as the servants prepared tea and served sweets. “It was your parents who brought up the idea, both our empires thrived and succeeded in in withstanding the test of time, but rumors started circulating about the other kingdoms plotting to take one of us down then force the other to surrender.” “..I see.. so my parents told your father that by combining forces through marriage, we have a higher chance at succeeding this possible conflict?” “Yes.” You looked at the tea, and the cake you haven’t eaten yet. “Let’s relax for now princess, drink the tea and eat as well, you need to have energy for later.”
You had a friendly chat with the prince, and you wouldn’t say he’s nice, he’s just being polite. He does understand that you’re having a hard time coming to terms with your sudden marriage to a stranger, so he opted you two chat more casually and try to be friends to make it less awkward. After a while, the servants called you both to join your parents, and as you two traveled down the long hallway, you feel your stomach churn more and more. “Relax princess, the pressure will be on me, so don’t scare yourself.” “How are you so sure?” “This marriage will signify the union of two kingdoms, and as the future ruler, I have more expectations to meet.” You kept quiet, he’s right and it somehow frustrates you. Even with the future of being a queen, it still feels like you’ll be useless. The burden Eichi will carry is something you don’t want, but you'd like to help if you could, it will be your kingdom as well after all. “Don’t worry princess, I’m sure you’ll make a great queen.” He spoke as if reading your mind, “You don’t sound like you mean it” “I apologize, but I really do mean it. This won’t be a normal empire, if I focus on building good connections on the outside, the state of the actual kingdom itself will fall apart.” “I’m guessing that’s going to be my job then?” You chuckled sarcastically, but you saw Eichi nod. “Yes, the purpose of having a queen and king is to balance the task of ruling a kingdom right?” You didn’t respond, but there is truth in his words, considering the proposal, the task would be larger, and the possibility of you two working together is plausible, you just hope that its true.
“Good afternoon your majesty” You bowed to the king before sitting next to Eichi. “Good afternoon, I assume Eichi must’ve told you the situation.” “Yes your majesty” “Great, we can skip that part then.-” The king paused to look at you two, probably noticing a bit of awkwardness in the air. “About the wedding, it will happen in two weeks. I’ve already sent the invitations, this will be a good way to establish connections, whether you choose to befriend them or intimidate them is up to you.” You feel nervous for your future already, but you were caught off guard when Eichi placed his hand on top of yours. “We’ll make sure to choose the right decisions for the kingdom.” You glanced at your parents, who has a look that screams hope and happiness, as if they weren’t the one who practically gave their child away. “That’s good to hear, I’d leave the task of guiding the princess to you, Eichi.” “Yes father.”
The next thirteen days flew by so fast yet so slow, you studied more than usual, spent time doing fittings and also learning the plan for the future. This day the king suggested you two take a break, so here you are in the garden, sipping tea with Eichi. “I just don’t understand why its so rushed, it could’ve been a month.” “It can’t be helped, if the rumors are true and we took our time then surely they would strike.” “..That’s true, two weeks is pretty long for planning war” You sighed, swirling the tea in your teacup. “Eichi, I don’t think I’m ready for this.” “I know-” he sipped his tea, “I’m not ready either, but we have to do this.” You looked at him, seemingly indifferent, but you know he’s struggling more than you. “Your parents said they’ll handle the process of the kingdoms uniting, so you can focus living here.” “That’s fine, I’m gonna stay here for my whole life anyway.” You paused, not knowing how to comfort Eichi. “We’ll get through this Eichi.” He nodded, but didn’t say anything else.
The day of the wedding finally arrived, you felt nervous, you know what you have to do, and you are aware of the things to expect, but you’ve just turned 18, and you’re already getting married and getting ready to rule the kingdom. You looked at yourself again, taking deep breaths to calm yourself down. “Its fine, you’re not alone”, you thought to yourself over and over, until you hear the maid’s signal. It’s finally time for the ceremony. You exited your room and went down the stairs and sat in the carriage. It reminded you of the first time you met Eichi, though it wasn’t that long ago, it feels as if a lot happened. Unfortunately for you, the journey feels shorter than usual, you just braced yourself as you faced the cathedral.
The ceremony went smoothly and according to plan, the only part you were scared of however, is the part you two kiss, but Eichi’s surprisingly gentle, guiding you even to the very last second. You could still remember the way he kissed you, treating you like a fragile rose, yet he wasn’t particularly shy as well, making sure to give you a proper kiss, not just a peck in the lips. You could think about it more and more, but your cheeks would heat up tremendously, and you need to be presentable and proper for the ball. “Shall we go now?” Eichi extends his hand to yours, and you politely took it. The doors to the palace open, but you feel calmer now with Eichi by your side.
Many nobles and royalties from different kingdoms were present, and just like Eichi’s father had told you, this would be a good opportunity to choose allies. You talked to them one by one, some happy about the marriage, others who feel the opposite. On your way, you met this young prince from a faraway empire. Black hair as dark as a raven, ruby eyes that shone beauty. “Congratulations on your wedding your majesty,” gracefully bowing to you “I am Prince Rei, I hope to have a good relationship with your kingdom.” He took your hand and kissed it, which caught you off guard. “Ah, I hope for that as well.” “How about a dance your majesty?” You cautiously took his hand and he lead you to the center of the room, he was acting rather invasive, his arm over your waist, hand firmly holding yours and yet he’s still gentle. You were observing the young prince, checking if there will be signs that will give him away, so much so that you forgot who you should be focusing on, your husband. You didn’t even notice him approaching until you caught him closing in with your peripheral vision. “Eichi! This is-” “Prince Rei, I appreciate you coming to the wedding.-” Eichi pulled you away from Rei, seemingly annoyed. “-However, I would appreciate it if you don’t touch my wife.” “Ah, I’m sorry your highness” Rei bowed to both of you, “I’m merely showing friendliness.” Eichi smiled at the prince, yet showed no compassion. “I understand, but please do acknowledge that she’s my wife.” “Alright, forgive me your highness, I’ll bear that in mind.” Rei bowed again, before leaving you two. “Eichi, you knew who what was?” “Yes, but lets not talk about it.” Eichi held you hand and your waist, prompting you to dance with him. “Why did you do that?” “Do what?” “Talk to Rei that way” Eichi spun you around and lowered you, gently supporting you with his arm. “You’re my wife now, I’m not letting anyone try to take you away from me.” His words made you feel hazy, almost dizzy, you knew your cheeks were heating up, and you have to say something before he picks up on it. “Eichi, no one’s going to steal me away.” Eichi smirked, which made you more flustered, “Of course, that’s how it should be after all, hm?”

Word Count: 1.5k
A demon whose in love with a priest is a sin unimaginable in hell, and a sentiment worth burying in the ground to never be seen again. Would it hurt you more to leave the one you love? Or to come back and see they’ve wanted more?
You’ve lived for centuries, a millennia even, and it's all the same boring thing. Humans asking for power, for money, for godly beauty, for fame, all things driven by greed and desperation. Boredom is not a strong enough word to describe how you feel about humanity. Some are more interesting though, like this one priest you’ve been stalking for a week now. Why are you even stalking him in the first place? He’s great at sensing evil presence, and you’ve almost been caught multiple times. He seems so dedicated to his work as a pastor, that he’s so wary of you, yet also observing where you are, hand closely near a bottle of holy water he started to carry as of lately. He probably thinks you want to take his soul, when really, you just find him eye-catching. With those minty jade locks, slim figure, and adorable moles under his eye. You hate to admit it but, you’ve grown quite smitten with the pastor.
It was this particular evening though that things went horribly, the priest was doing his normal rounds in the backyard, you hidden near the bushes and trees of the forest. He looks so serene and beautiful, the moonlight’s glow on his face made him look like an angel, almost like a reminder that what you’re feeling is forbidden, but you’re a demon so does it really matter? All of your existence should be forbidden, and your identity and emotions are invalid, because you’re always a monster to everyone. You were lost in your thoughts, that you didn’t even notice the priest directly in front of you. “Ah-” “I would appreciate you leaving this place, you’re tainting the purity of God.” Not hesitating, he splashed some holy water on you, which made you shriek in pain. “Your words sting more than that holy water” “...” He only looked at you, unimpressed and almost annoyed. “Leave.” “W-wait! I just want to know your name.” “Please leave-” “If you tell me your name I promise I won’t do anything that can and will affect your church.” “..Tatsumi”, the pastor then walked away, not bothering to wait for your reply.
The next few weeks went on like usual, Tatsumi would do his rounds at the church backyard and you just watch him, still hidden but you’re not so afraid of getting caught anymore. He never tries to talk to you, and all conversations you had with him were initiated by you. He’s probably irritated by your persistence, but you can be selfish right? This particular evening you thought of asking him about the church. “Hey Tatsumi, why does this church seem so important to you?”, the young man stopped and thought for a bit, before responding. “This is my family’s church, I swore to protect it and take care of it just like how my father did.” You stayed silent, thinking about his words. “Well, I suppose I can try to protect you while you protect this church.” Tatsumi looks at you unimpressed once again, every time you try to tease or flirt with him, his reaction never changes. “How about you?” “Huh?” “How did you end up as an evil being?” “Ah..” You smiled at Tatsumi, not knowing how to respond. “You always ask me about my life, but I don’t know anything about you, I just know you’re a demon.-” He looked at the moon, “I should’ve purged you long ago, but I ended up entertaining you, so as compensation, tell me about your past.”
Your past, you remember it clearly like a sunny day. Despite being so long ago, it still hurts to think about it. “My past.. I grew up in a small village, lived a simple life. Helped my parents and supported my brother with his passion. One day, a bunch of thieves ransacked our home, but things got heated. I was the only one who successfully hid, and I heard my family scream and yell in pain as they got murdered.” You looked at Tatsumi, who remained unfazed. “Weeks, I couldn’t sleep, my family’s cry for help always woke me up at night, and the voices of their killers haunted my life. When I heard from the city that they’ve been caught, I couldn’t resist. I snuck in at night, and killed them all one by one.” You looked at him again, but he’s not looking at you, he’s now looking wistfully into the horizon. “Look Tatsumi, I told you, I have no intention of hurting you. I knew what I did was horrible, and I know my parents are probably disappointed in what I did. All I wish is that-” “You can stay, but if you do something-” “I won’t Tatsumi, I just need someone to talk to, just.. just to keep me entertained, immortality is horrible. Especially after what I did.”
To your surprise, Tatsumi did talk to you more, he asked about your past, and rarely about how you live now as a different creature. He never gives his opinions, and only comments on your lifestyle on some occasions, but you felt like he’s your friend. Sometimes, he would even sit beside you, though not too close. You definitely caught him without his holy water, but never pointed it out. Your feelings grew of course, and frankly, you’ve accepted that you’re in love with him. “Hey Tatsumi” “Hm?” “What do you say if I asked you to be a demon like me?” “No.” You laughed looking at his reaction. Always so serious and so on guard when you’re not even doing anything. “Why are you asking? You know I’d turn it down.” “Because I’d be lonely without you.” “You do not need me to keep you company, I’m not your friend, demon.” “Aw, you really do hurt me Tatsumi.” He looked at you, and you smile at him despite really feeling hurt at what he said.
You looked at the moon again, you’ve stayed with him for months now, you know you’re never going to be together, never gonna be in love with each other, and you’re only gonna be more depressed when he dies and you’re there. “Thank you Tatsumi.” “..For what?” ‘For reminding me what my human life could’ve been.-” You looked down, “I never felt like this before. My past only makes me feel horrible, but because of you, I feel like I finally know what would’ve happened if I wasn’t led astray by my emotions.” You paused, tears forming in your eyes. “I would’ve made friends, would’ve healed and moved on..-” You couldn’t stop your emotions anymore, and your tears started to stain your cheeks. “Would’ve.. felt love and loved back. I finally feel like I lived a good life.” Tatsumi never spoke, and you both stayed silent for a while. You knew this would be the last day you see him.
Tatsumi started his night routine as usual when he couldn’t feel your presence. Were you late? Did something come up? The priest sighed, continuing his task. Days went by, and he stopped sensing your presence all together. It felt so.. wrong, having no one strike a conversation with him, no one asking about his life, no one teasing him and laughing at his reactions. Did he say something wrong? Did you finally get tired of him? He hoped not. The days turned to weeks and into months until it became years. The once young man is now old, alone and frail. All that time, he kept waiting for you, even praying that you’d be there and he’ll sense you again. But you never came, he never heard your voice again. He was now on his deathbed, gasping for air as his lungs started to fail him, and yet, his only wish was to see you again. His last days were spent looking at the window, maybe he’ll see you hidden in the bushes, maybe your presence would give it away. But as he took his final breath, he never saw your figure again.
Its been a few centuries now, you decided to visit the local church whose priest you fell in love with. When you got there, the church was abandoned, the inside was unkept, vines taking over the walls, and the greenery was going out of control. When you got inside though, you saw a skeleton lying on a bed, looking through the window. You found an old note in its bedside drawer, it reads; I never knew why you left, and I never knew your name, I never knew that we’d be close, and I never knew we’d only have a short amount of time before fate separates us apart. To the demon who kept me company, I only wished we spent more time together, so we could be friends. If you will not meet me again in my mortal life, perhaps I can see you again in the afterlife, and we’d finally have all the time we need, but until then, I’ll stay in this sacred place, and await for your return. You smiled bitterly at the note, then looked at the skeleton. Maybe if things we’re different, you two could’ve been together.

Highly recommend listening to Where Are We Now by Mamamoo for best experience
He never loved you, it was just for the fans, for publicity, for Eden to hopefully triumph over Knights and fine. You knew you’d be hurt, you knew you’d inevitably fall for him, you knew you’d be a moron to even step into this “relationship”, but maybe he’d change his mind, maybe he’ll see your worth, maybe, just maybe, he’ll love you back. But he never did.
You saw it, yet you acted blind. His “casual” flirting with the fans. He says its just being friendly, just being nice, he is an idol right? If he doesn’t do it, how will the fans react to Eden? You agreed, you believed him, when deep down you knew, he never cared for how you feel. When will you stop and care for yourself? Where do you draw the line? You saw how he looked at his fans, he can’t even look at you that way. Why won’t he? You ask but you knew, he doesn’t love you.
How many tears does it take for you to end it? Would you rather live in this lie that he cares, or will you finally free yourself from this hell you’ve created? You wanted to stay, even if he makes you cry. He never hugged you, never held your hand, never looked at you in the eye. And yet you hoped that he really did cherish you, appreciated who you were. To the point of being delusional, but maybe, please maybe, maybe he loves you.
But fate had to show it to you, him with a fan being awfully close to him, a touch you never experienced, a hug you never felt, a kiss you never got. You can’t keep being blind, when he’s doing this in front of you. He even took a while to notice you catching him in the act. “Hm..? Ah- My apple- Hey wait-..!” You couldn’t look at him anymore, you ran away, as fast as you could, tears blurring your vision but you didn’t care, you had to go, you had to leave, you had to get away.
You were outside now, rain pouring as hard as you bawled your eyes out, you knew this was coming, and yet you hoped and hoped and hoped only for him to crush it again and again. “My sweet apple please let’s go back..” He talks as if he did nothing wrong. “Go back? Go back to where?! You ruined my life Hiyori! You ruined everything!” “Please let’s talk about this..” “Talk about what? About how you blatantly cheated on me? How you disregarded this relationship and threw it in the trash? For fuck’s sake Hiyori, I have feelings, and you can’t fucking trample all over them just because it can make you popular.” Hiyori came closer trying to hold your hand. “My dear apple please-”, red was the only thing you could see, and before you knew if, you slapped his hand away from you. “Don’t ever call me that again Hiyori, and don’t ever show your face again, we’re done. We’re over." You stormed off, tears still streaming down your face as he stood there. Maybe you didn’t notice how he looked so hurt, maybe the rage blinded you that his pain didn’t matter anymore, perhaps the rain hid the tears staining his cheeks. But he only stood there, he deserved it didn’t he? How could he excuse his actions, when he was too late to realize that the temporary love he thought of was something he wanted forever?
It’s been a year now, you were in your apartment, making coffee. Eden’s on the screen, an interview about their new song, seeing Hiyori isn’t so bad now, it still stings, but its better than before, you learned to heal from what happened. You couldn’t help but wonder though, Hiyori’s changed ever since, the genuine smile wasn’t there anymore, he became more private and hidden, and he seemed to have lost the sparkle in his eyes, but maybe you’re just imagining it, because he never loved you right?

On graduation day at junior high, a male graduate may give the second button on his school jacket to a female student. It is usual for a female junior to ask the senior male student she likes for his button. If the male student likes her too, he may give her his second button.
To be graduating from Yumenosaki Academy was a dream come true really, you’ve worked so hard to be able to get good grades to have a better future, and the best thing about it is that you get to encounter famous idols pretty often than one would expect, though most meetings consists only of walking past them or making quick eye contact. Surprisingly, Eichi Tenshouin of fine is one of the idols you have been more interested in. You are aware of what happened, and it was horrible, traumatizing even, but perhaps he had something in him that made you curious, or maybe it was something in you that made you look closely in the first place. You fiddled with your graduation outfit, spacing out. You’ve liked him for at least a year now, and the thought of confessing is slowly getting more and more “logical” in your mind. Sure, you’ve been a great student, but next to him, you’re nobody. Besides, if you do confess and get rejected, it just means moving on is easier right? You slumped on your bed, sighing loudly, your thoughts were so noisy, everything was noisy, you can’t help but overthink again. You decided to get yourself a glass of milk before going to your bedroom, whatever happens tomorrow, screw it honestly, at least you tried right?
It was the day of graduation now, everyone looked so elegant and pristine, posh and proud. And then of course, there was you, looking anxiously trying to find a certain blond. It felt like forever looking for him, but as you were walking you accidentally bumped into the one person you’ve been so excited and nervous to see. “Ah, Eichi-! Hello-.. Uh..” Eichi only looked at you with curiosity, tilting his head a bit, seemingly ready to entertain you. You took a deep breath, gathering as much courage as possible, you’re here now, you can’t leave and chicken out. “Roses are red, dear leader of fine, if its alright with you, can your button be mine?” Eichi only stared at you dumbfounded, before chuckling like a baby whose been shown silly faces. You feel your face heat up, “wow good job, you really looked like an idiot there” Seriously? A cheesy poem? Where did you even get that? You swore you could die from the embarrassment as well as Eichi’s once beautiful now humiliating chuckle echoing in the background, but all those thoughts were pulled away when he grabbed your hand gently. “Here”, placing his second button on the palm of your hand. You thought your face couldn’t get more red, but slowly realizing what had just happened definitely proved you wrong. Eichi Tenshouin, the Eichi Tenshouin just gave you his second button. Stunned, you just kept looking at it, lying there on your palm. “What? Speechless?-“ the blond chuckled again, “-Don’t think I didn’t notice you looking at me every once in while when you have the chance.” You look away, were you that obvious? Did he know all this time? “Oh? Looking away now are we? That’s not the attitude you should present yourself to someone you’d just confessed to, how about you join me for dinner tomorrow to make up for it?” Well now, seems you’ve already got yourself a date.

Out of all the days you had to be late, it just had to be this photoshoot. First you overslept, then you couldn’t get a cab, and when you finally managed, traffic practically made cars useless. Begrudgingly, you left the cab and started walking, or more accurately, running to the studio. “I’m so sorry! There was traffic and I couldn’t get a cab and then I-“ silence only met your words, when you realized the Valkyrie star is not even in the room. “Where’s Mika?” “Late, the producer messaged us last minute, something came up, but they should be here soon.” “Ah.. I see..” you thanked the photographer, although he looked a bit irritated, he nodded in appreciation to your gesture.
A few minutes later, the door to the studio burst open. “Sorry for bein’ late!”, Mika waved to the photographer enthusiastically, “I had to do sum’ stuff for Valkyrie” “Its alright, you two get ready now, we have a lot to do today”. You nodded and started changing, seeing Mika do the same while his producer found a seat and started using their phone. As the hands of the clock ticked away the hours you all spent in the studio, the feeling of working with Mika started to feel normal to you, and somehow relaxing, tempting you to lower your guard that you didn’t even notice a certain phone taking a picture of the shoot.
“How is the shoot going?” “It’s going well, but Mika’s not even in your agency, why are you asking Eichi?” “It does concern Kagehira as an idol after all, of course I’d be concerned, this can affect Valkyrie. Who is he modeling with?” sighing, the producer sent the taken picture, at this point, it was probably the best way to shut the Starmaker Production representative up. Tapping his fingers on the desk, Eichi hummed before messaging the producer, “Taker their contact and name, some business should do both parties good.”
A few weeks later, the photoshoot is finally released, and thankfully the general public and most fans liked it, of course there will always be an opposing opinion, but you’ve gotten used to those, it is a part of your job and there is no way to get rid of those besides ignoring the insults. While looking at the comments however, a message whose number you don’t recognize shows up. “Good day, this is Eichi Tenshouin of Starmaker Production, if you’re wondering how I was able to acquire your number, Mika’s producer gave it to me per my request. You have worked with idols before, so I hope you will consider continuing this path.”
Of course you thought about it, taking the risk of a modeling job that includes the leader of fine, the fans are ruthless, but maybe not as ruthless as Undead right..? Besides, you’ve worked with Mika before, so everything should hopefully go alright. You reluctantly agreed to his request, talking about when and where you’ll meet. You’re still nervous of course, but this could very well be the breakthrough you need in your career. The meeting went much more smoothly than you thought, he explained it wasn’t just for fine’s benefit, but for the whole agency as well, so you thought ‘Great! more opportunities!’. Only problem is, that just means there’s more work you have to deal with, and meetings with the StarPro representative would basically be a part of your routine, but it could benefit you immensely, so why not?
Along the way, the Emperor found himself spending more time with you, interacting with you more often with meetings he would disguise as “business”. Albeit clear to everyone else what was happening, he simply didn’t notice, after all, your company is something that makes him feel warm, feel pure even, as if those sins and nightmares of the past were erased from history. It wasn’t until he decided to meet you for another business matter that he’ll start to realize.
You had just finished talking about some plans that involves fine and you as a model, of course, wanting to be professional and organized regarding this matter, you decided to focus and write down the points of the meeting. Problem is, you were so focused you didn’t even notice Eichi wistfully looking at you. There was a sense of peace in you, everything is silent, and most importantly, everything is perfect especially you. He could capture this moment and think about how flawless you are. Sitting elegantly and comfortable with eyes full of focus and determination that you just seem to demand attention, and Eichi was giving you all of it unbeknownst to you. Then, as he kept admiring you, the room felt quieter, until the only thing he could hear was his heartbeat. That soft thumping sound, the seemingly feels so joyous and over the moon whenever he sees you, spends time with you.. but is it really happening..? Is he really..?
..thump, thump..
“Ah..” he whispered to himself before smiling, of course, how could he not fall for you? You’re just being who you are, but he finds it captivating. Maybe you’re just a charming person and that’s how you became a model, or maybe there’s more to it he hasn’t observed nor thought about. Conflicting thoughts were echoing in his mind, does he actually want to learn more about you? Would it be wise to act upon his feelings? Can he be selfish this time around? But really, he’s not exactly fooling anyone is he? Perhaps it would be better to keep it to himself, or maybe.. just maybe..
“How about we meet again tomorrow?” Your eyes shot up to look at the blond, who has his hand supporting his chin and sitting quite leisurely in front of you. “Tomorrow? Already? Is there more to discuss?” He only chuckled before responding, “You could say that, do you have some business to attend to?” You look away from his gaze, you’ve been avoiding to tell him, but you do have a photoshoot the next day. “Ah.. yeah, its pretty important, I heard Rei might be there” “Oh?-” he tilted his head, a hint of a smirk forming in his lips. “-I think that’s more reason for me to join you tomorrow.” “Why? Is the meeting for tomorrow really important?” “No, its a date.”
