this is my favorite art program. it’s *much* more intuitive than photoshop/gimp or corel paintshop, but it still has the full functionality of a digital art program (layers, brush stabilizer, etc.). it’s not overwhelming to start on like practically every other decent art program I’ve tried, you can just pick a brush and start drawing as if it were paper if you want. plus you can download extra brushes for free! and they publish free art tutorials pretty regularly

(( my parents actually got me that tablet. as a belated birthday gift. OMG it works like a tablet and like laptop and the best is,it has a pen! and it fucking has that pen pressure thing. that’s a whole new world. I will be doodling tonight after setting everything up!))

HELP

I have seen a nice,inexpensive tablet wich is also sort of like a laptop. Are there any good softwares,and does anyone know if I can draw on that?

(( GOOD NEWS! my parents want to support me,and they are going to pay half of whatever my new tablet costs. They clearly see my frustration and since I didn’t wish for anything for my britday,I get supported. I feel blessed. If I find a good one maybe I’ll get it tomorrow,or at the beginning of the week! YAY! I’ll just get a regular tablet ,on wich I can also surf on the internet and put apps on and watch netflix.))

(( So,the screen of my tablet is completely cracked. I can’t draw on it anymore,and if I try to do anything with my fingers I end up with fucking glass splinters in my fingers. I am going to put money aside to exchange the screen.  I think I will be back to digital drawing in august. OMG I feel so lost. But also,this is a great chance to practice traditional drawing. I am trying to make the best out of this...oh god but it sucks so hard.))

(( Whoa,I did paperwork all morning,went to do some serious adulting stuff in offices and now I’m dead. Depression and anxiety are so fucking mean. Time for a whiskey,while I finish some paperwork at home. I can’t wait for my life to be normal again. As soon as everythings done I want to travel to scotland. It’s been my dream for so many years and I deserve it after all the shit I’ve been through. I just wanna hang out,have a drink and enjoy the locals accents and the scenery. Can’t wait. I will work for this.))
