they / them | 21 | uk | autistic kpop | ace attorney | mario kart | sonic apollo justice is everything to me i will not hear slander about my silly little guy :3
in my quest to start an art shop and make some lovely stuff to sell (the theme will be whatever i'm fixated on -- i intend to make the art i myself would like to buy) i have an idea in my head about some ace attorney x sonic pieces, and i'm trying to match the characters up to each other ! this idea came about from me playing sonic crossworlds and realising how similar cream sounds to pearl (and in some cases maya).
so i turn to you, humble tumblr user, for help with these assignments ! the current solid match-ups i have are as follows :
phoenix and sonic
miles and shadow
pearl and cream
simon and espio
and then i have some i'm not entirely sure on :
apollo and tails
klavier and rouge
trucy and amy
gumshoe and knuckles (or big)
athena and silver
i currently have no idea for maya, franziska or godot, and i would like to also include mia, clay and bobby, and perhaps nahyuta and rayfa too (although i haven't experienced them enough in canon to fully get a read on their personalities yet).
I gotta say i love how mia fey is set up to be phoenixs love interest almost immediately: shes his mentor, shes smart, pretty, and kind! And then shes immediately murdered and we discover the true love intrest is homotron: 3000 who wants phoenix fucking dead everytime he sees him
this is completely different from me but planet c : home race finished today and neither of my picks made the final lineup so i wrote fanfic about it !! its 1300 words of angst and i've CRANKED this out but i'm actually pretty happy with it despite it not really having much of a plot to it at all. if anybody is interested !!

this is my first time sharing anything remotely kpop related here on tumblr but even if it isn't your thing, i'd still love the feedback on the fic !! any kinds words you might have or any criticisms are very welcome <3
SO as almost christmas approaches so too does 2026 (the canonical year that apollo justice takes place (yet another reason aa7 will happen this year, trust)) i have codified every event worth celebrating (and times when they’re available) in aa4 into a helpful list because this will be, quite literally, the only year we can do this.
without further ado, i present:
the DEFINITIVE aa4 anniversary celebration guide:
April 17, between 1:45 and 2:15 a.m. - Zak Gramarye is murdered.
April 20, 9:37 a.m. - Apollo Justice is in court for the first time and he is FINE (technically he got up at 5 for his chords of steel practice)
April 20, 10:00 a.m. - The beginning of State v. Wright… again.
April 20, 4:28 p.m. - Phoenix Wright is acquitted for murder!!! oh and kristoph’s gonna go to prison or smth
June 1 - Keen Lawyers Always Posit Opinions Like Lively Opposition Should Or Look Openly Shiny
June 14, between 10:15 and 10:45 p.m - Happy Phoenix gets hit by a car, gets sent thirty feet in the air, hits his head on a telephone pole, gets a sprained ankle from this(??), and is up walking the next day day. and a murder happened. and trucy’s panties were stolen. and a noodle stand disappeared.
June 15, 9:12 a.m. - Apollo has the privilege of getting interviewed for a job with the Wright & Co. Talent Anything Agency.
June 15, sometime after 10:45 a.m. - “I must say I’m used to being inspected by the ladies… *lean in* But this is the first time I’ve felt this way with a man.”
June 16, 5:00 a.m. - Apollo is once again practicing his chords of steel. I think we should all scream at this one and see if we can hear each other.
June 16, 10:00 a.m. - Klavier Gavin is ready to rock ‘n’ roll, Herr Judge! *guilty love starts* (State v. Kitaki)
June 17, 4:12 p.m. - Wocky Kitaki is declared not guilty!!! he seems angry about it
July 7, 8:05 p.m. - Apollo and Trucy are backstage during the intermission for the Gavinners: “Guilty As Charged” Tour! Hooray!!
July 7, 9:30 p.m. - Apollo watches a man die.
July 9, 10:00 a.m. - The beginning of State v. Tobaye
July 10, 4:42 p.m. - Another successful(?) acquittal and another trusted confidante of Klavier’s in prison. All’s well that ends well.
October 6, between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. - Drew Misham is poisoned and dies.
October 7 - It’s “Recycle Your Plastics” day! Now you can be like Apollo and know that off the top of your head (fun fact: march 18 is the real global recycling day)
October 8 - The first test of the jurist system begins, which could change legal proceedings in Japanifornia forever. Or not. (State v. Misham)
Oct 9, 2:14 p.m. - The first verdict under the jurist system is reached.
Oct 10, 8:30 a.m. - Vera Misham makes a miraculous recovery from poisoning.
and that’s it!
this list only includes events that happen in 2026, so things like phoenix’s disbarment are not listed. if there’s anything else you think is worth celebrating, leave it in the replies and i’ll add it!
i will never be the out of character police, but its so funny to me when people in fanfiction make klavier do anything on the fringes of illegal or not upstanding.
This man refuses to jaywalk. He runs a fucking pro cop rock band. Hes the biggest square imagniable
i've been trying to rationalize why clay terran's death hits me more than pretty much any other victim, even though the exact intricacies of his character are not the most plot relevant, and i think i finally got it. some of it's that he's the series' first new science freak in a while, yeah, but i think above that it's the emphasis on his ambition.
ace attorney does not like to kill real characters. it doesn't. referring to the main series for the rest of this post, we very rarely get to see a character for one section of one case before they die, with a few notable exceptions. as a result, because we don't get to know the characters very well, we as players are left to pick up the remnants based on the reactions of those still alive. ace attorney creates tragedy and emotional impact through the emotions of those who knew the victims. the victims' personas, therefore, are shaped by others' experiences with them: were they nice or mean, compassionate or abusive, nurturing or strict? while their relationships to others are crucial to their selves, they aren't everything about them.
clay is an astronaut. and unlike pretty much every victim in this series, that's not just his job, it's his life's purpose. the majority of clay's character is shaped through apollo's perception of him, sure, but what's also emphasized is his dream of being an astronaut. he wanted to be an astronaut since he was a child. he went to cosmos, became acquaintances and friends with the employees, surrounded himself with space. and he got the job. i know ace attorney ages can be taken with a grain of salt, but he was going to go into space at twenty-three, where the youngest astronaut in real life was twenty-five. any sizable gap in age below the norm tends to get lawyers deemed prodigies, excluding most themis students, so clay could probably be considered one as well. he was brilliant and remarkably hardworking and dedicated his entire life to reaching this goal, and he... didn't. he died with his dream ten steps in front of him.
when a character is an exception in one way, they tend to be in many, and they also tend to be defense attorneys, for some reason. the two victims with the most ambition at time of death, from my perspective, also have the most pre-death screen time: mia fey and dhurke sahdmadhi. their ambition may be on different scales, but they both died with tasks unfinished. mia had yet to reveal the corruption of redd white and the truth to dl-6, and dhurke had yet to restore stability to his country's legal system. they were both incredibly committed to fulfilling these goals and died while actively pursuing them.
the contrast between these two and clay is the individualism factor. dhurke wanted to see his revolution through, but he wanted a better future regardless of whether he was its leader or not. mia's connection was due to her familial involvement, but she also just wanted to uncover the truth behind redd white's obscurations and reduce corruption in the legal system. these goals are personal, but they aren't limited to them. they are goals that these two aspire to achieve, but they themselves don't need to be the ones to achieve them; in fact, they aren't. phoenix apprehends white, exposes manfred von karma, and discovers misty fey's disappearance for mia, while nahyuta and apollo work to reform khura'in's courts for dhurke. clay wanted to go to space. while a less noble goal than those i'm comparing him to, it's also more intrinsic to himself. he was supposed to be the one in space. there's no one to take over his dream because it's his alone. when he dies, that's it. it'll never be done. while his compassion definitely implies that he would be proud as long as sol starbuck touched the stars again, that isn't his dream. it's not the same as him doing it himself.
another similarity between mia and dhurke is that they are also the victims with the most post-death screen time. mia is channeled constantly through the first trilogy, to the point where she's almost as constant as any living character. dhurke lives for days, concealing his death while being channeled and not revealing the secret until almost the end of 6-5. as a result, these two get front row seats to their goals being fulfilled by their successors. mia's there to help phoenix take down white in 1-2, is certainly made aware of the results in 1-4, and even reunites with diego and re-defeats dahlia in 3-5. dhurke assists apollo leading up to the final court case, and his presence sticks with apollo as he develops his defense office.
clay does not get post-death screen time. he's only mentioned, like any other victim, after his death, and the large bulk of it is regarding the minutes before he's killed. not only is his dream unable to be fulfilled, but he wouldn't get the chance to see anything come of it, if that was even possible. he's not aura, staring out of a prison cell as part of her life's work flies off without her input. he's dead. no seeing the future, no willing on a successor to continue for him, no closure. dead and gone.
i'm not going to go crazy in depth right now, but, considering all major victims, the final truth of clay's death is done pretty poorly. as the successor to investigations, a duology that deals with international affairs in incredible detail, dual destinies is notably lacking. the organization behind the phantom isn't explored in the slightest; what was the point in making them a part of something bigger in the first place? there's no inciting event, no motive, not even a name, and from my point of view it just makes dual destinies feel unfinished, like there were plans that couldn't be made reality. there aren't any hints towards what the organization is doing, no legs to theorize on besides real life events, and it's not portrayed in a way that leaves it as a clever mystery. some international organization wants to sabotage the rocket launches for an unknown reason, so people die. that's all. clay dies due to reasons completely unknown to players, which is just so unsatisfying. not only does he not get closure, but we don't either. it makes me desperate for any new information to justify his death, to make his murder mean something, just like others who are integral to plot. this isn't entirely the point i was trying to make, but i think it's significant enough to mention. or maybe i just wanted to talk about it. not too sure.
clay terran suffers the awful fate of too much ambition and too little closure. this alone made his death have the greatest lasting impact on me. i'm not sure how it is for others, but the sadness of those left behind didn't usually trigger a large emotional reaction in me. however, the way clay's extraordinary dedication, implied intelligence, and nigh inevitable success were ripped from him right at the very end, with no possibility of a successor due to his own personal stake in the goal, made his death hit me through the heart like no other ace attorney victim. and also, just a little bit, because he's a new science freak.
hello !! i come with fics !! i have 23 klapollo-tagged fics bookmarked but i'll only share ones i've read, so i can guarantee they're good.
we'll start with safe home by kbots -- klavier has a stalker and needs somewhere to hide, and where better than his rival's house ? featuring a lovely bunch of kay and sebastian as well.
next is turnabout electric by HopeStoryteller -- apollo defends klavier in court, the case itself is quite reminiscent of turnabout goodbyes if you catch my drift. a brilliantly written case fic, with a devastating twist ending that i certainly didn't see coming.
next we have red tide by AliceinHyruleBastion -- duke klavier and mermaid apollo, and i'm still reading this one but their dynamic is fantastic.
now we have my favourite klapollo au fic, everybody here’s got something heavy (i’ll shoulder it a while if you just want a night off) by Caora -- a stardew valley au, where apollo moves to pelican town after clay's death. this one made me cry.
and finally, my favourite klapollo fic so far, carry me slowly, my sunlight by AliceinHyruleBastion -- in which they are soulmates, and share each other's pain. this one tore me apart in the best way. it does get a little bit injury-heavy but it's very relevant to the plot and it's just. everything.
hopefully these are enough to tide you over !! and thank you so much for asking me <3

Another possible design for Franziska in future games. I don’t want her design to change too much. I think she’ll get more mature and compassionate with time, but i still want her harshness and strictness to remain at some level
five gajillion years ago (one year) i made a post of all my Apollo headcanons here but tumblr is very restrictive and it has been buried to hell and back.... so I put it on Ao3!
There are ~2.3k words, if that gives you an idea. lmao. Spoilers for all of the games. it isn't a story it's genuinely a bulleted list of headcanons i'm sorry
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
I tried to nicely format it and whatever. Look i'm just a fan of the modability of Ao3's everything compared to Tumblr's more rigid stylings
Writing question: the 12 questions you want to answer!
Ooooo, fun idea!
So, it's been a minute since I last worked on it, but I decided to talk about an Ace Attorney fic that I've been writing on and off for the past couple of years. The working title is "The Khura'in Job."
1. Is your work in progress for a recent fandom you've joined or one you've already been into? Or is it an original work?
Ace Attorney has been my main fandom for a while and most of my AA fics have been about the cast of the Apollo Justice trilogy in some shape or form.
2. What genre(s) is your WIP?
It's a heist fic and a Bad Ending AU for Spirit of Justice. I'm going to put the cut here in case anyone stumbles across this post who hasn't played AA6 yet and doesn't want to get spoiled.
The premise is that Apollo and Phoenix lost the trial towards the end of 6-5, and they and Nahyuta get arrested by Ga'ran. Edgeworth barely manages to get the rest of the gang out of Khura'in, but now they're stuck figuring out what to do next.
Enter Klavier Gavin, who suggests that they pose as members of his crew who are helping him scout locations in Khur'ain for a Gavinners' reunion tour. Because he's not about to stand by and let Herr Forehead and Phoenix Wright get executed.
3. If you could describe the tone of your WIP, what would it be?
I'm trying to match the general tone of Ace Attorney, balancing silly and dramatic. Klavier's plan is silly in a "this just might be stupid enough to work" kinda way, but the stakes are high. If they screw this up, everyone dies, and they know it.
7. Does your WIP have the word "world/globe" in it? If it does, what is the sentence it's in, if you want to share what it is?
Klavier flipped his braid over his shoulder. “If you’re looking for a way back into Khura’in, I can give you one.”
Ema rolled her eyes. “This oughta be good.”
“Oh, it is.”
He pulled out his phone and brought up the recent announcement that had Gavinners fans screaming all over the world. The rumors were true; the band was coming back together for a limited time only.
And the Khura’inese government had been intrigued over the possibility of being added to the tour.
Ema paused mid-chew. “...You’ve got to be kidding me.”
8. Who is the easiest character to write for in your WIP?
So, for this WIP, that's an especially good question because I am writing from multiple PoVs throughout. I'm thinking it's probably Athena.
Throughout the fic, she's trying to care for everyone's emotional needs, while also struggling under the burden of suddenly having to run a small agency by herself (albeit with help from Trucy).
Not to mention dealing with the crippling self-doubt that came from being forbidden by Phoenix to participate in the Khura'in half of 6-5, and then having to watch in the gallery as everything fell apart in this AU. Because once again, she's found herself stuck in a courtroom, unable to do anything to save a close friend while watching him get dragged off to death row.
I like delving into that, while also having her play off of the other characters as her sensitive hearing picks up on all of THEIR emotions too. Especially Klavier - I LOVE putting them in Situations and watching them play off of each other. The German Besties of All Time.
9. Who is the hardest character to write for in your WIP?
Ironically, after what I just said about Athena: Simon Blackquill. I don't feel like I have quite the same grasp of his character as others in the AJ Trilogy. You have to balance the "scary samurai prosecutor" act he puts on with his status as one of the biggest trolls in the series, AND the more desperate moments when he's trying to protect someone (Athena).
Out of everyone, he's the character where I feel the most need to replay his game (and 6-4) to make sure I really have a grasp of how he talks/acts in a given situation.
11. What's the hardest thing for you working on your WIP?
The actual heist. Y'know. The plot. This is why it hasn't been posted yet, lol.
Character drama? Oh, I'm all over that. I love that. Figuring out what the gang will actually need to get past in order to save Apollo, Phoenix, and Nahyuta? Yeah...check back with me later...
13. What's the object to your right? Is that object in your WIP?
A guitar! Yes! How could Klavier go anywhere without one of his lovers?
14. What kind of ending to you envision for your WIP? Or is it undecided?
Without spoiling too much, I'm anticipating that the last chapter will be one of those time-skip epilogues. Not a big time-skip, like T&T vs. AJ, more like 6 months - 1 year later.
15. Made any planning with this WIP? Or you're just writing as you go?
Yeah, that's the thing about this genre: you have to plan everything. I've spent months just figuring out who the members of Klavier's team are and what they're doing. Heists are one giant puzzle; every piece has to fit together with the others. If you take something out, it can cause ripples in the rest of the plot.
So yeah, I don't even know when this will be done. Hopefully next year!
21. If your WIP was a song, who would you want to be the artist of that song?
Probably Hans Zimmer - I've been listening to the Inception soundtrack a LOT while I work on this fic.
24. FREE QUESTION!!
Who is part of Gavin's Eleven? (This is subject to change, but I THINK it's finalized.)
Team Klavier consists of Klavier (obviously), Trucy, Athena, Maya, Simon, Kay, Franziska, Edgeworth, and Ema. They are being assisted to varying degrees by Gumshoe and Vera Misham. Not all of them will get regular PoV chapters though.
