Coloured pencil exercise #2: trying to understand Bill Skarsgård’s face. (and wow, does he have a difficult face) Click pics to enlarge!

Coloured pencil exercise #1: when you’re inspired by Mark Ryden but at the same time you’re also really into Bill Skarsgård’s Matthew.
Only 6 minutes in, and I was already screaming when I noticed the graffiti lyrics during the Harlem Shake sequence! (Not to mention all the sounds and moves being in tune with the song)
the song’s over. i’m afraid you’ll still have to face the music.

THOMAS: “Where were you?”
S: “What?”
T: “Last night, where were you?”
S: “Out.”
T: “All night??”
S: “There was a concert downtown, okay? Like, I’m here now, doesn’t that count for something?”
T: “It’s two in the afternoon!!”
S: “Whatever, okay, you know what, I’m out, alright? I don’t need this.”
T: “No I will take a nap!”
S: “No, you’re too worked up, I - I can’t operate with you like that.”
T: “Now y- where are you going??”
S: “Out.”
T: “But you WILL be back tonight, right??”
S: [voice fading out] “I donno, maybe, I don’t know, whatever.”
T: [frustrated, strangled yelling]

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
“What’s Harry Potter?”
So for those of you who don’t know: I work at a bookstore. And this afternoon, just like many before them had done, a mother and her eleven year old son had entered the store with the words: ‘We’re looking for a thin book for youngsters who never read.’
I could only imagine how all our slightly bended, overloaded and - occasionally - dusty shelves must have seemed horrifyingly dull for this agile looking fella. He didn’t strike me as someone who liked to sit still for more than fifteen minutes. But eager to help them, I left my safe spot behind the desk and started handing the young man a couple of the latest books written for his age, explaining what they were about. Unfortunately (but not surprisingly), he read some of the back covers with a blank, uninterested stare. After several more suggestions, I came to the end of the shelf that was tagged ‘AGE 10+’, clearly without success: a large stack of rejected stories on the display table were the clear evidence of the boy’s indifference. Once more, I looked up at the shelf, thinking...and then turned my head, glancing at the far corner of the store. ‘Hmm...maybe...I don’t see why not...’ I mumbeled enigmatically. Then, looking at the boy, I asked: ‘Have you heard of Harry Potter?’ ‘What’s Harry Potter?’ his mom asked me. A vivid sparkle appeared in the boy’s eyes. ‘I’ve heard of that name...’ he remembered. ‘Come on, I’ll show you.’ We meandered through the display tables until we got to the Fantasy section. I handed him the first book of the series, and took off: ‘Harry Potter is a boy - about your age - who got raised by his mean aunt and uncle. He is not allowed to ask any questions, cause what his aunt and uncle never ever want Harry to find out, is how very special he is... But then, Harry receives a letter. His first one ever, and it’s an acceptance letter for a school for witchcraft and wizardry.’ The boy examined the cover of the book for a couple of seconds. But this time, it was everything but a blank stare. When he looked up at me, I could see a little, keen smile on his face. ‘I’ll take this one, please.’
