I yearn for more disabled Hephaestus rep. And I yearn for people to not be uncomfortable at me calling Hephaestus disabled, imperfect and ugly. Because THAT IS HOW HES DESCRIBED !! If you’ve got access to it I’d also suggest Lenormand would be a great option as it provides very specific everyday style answers to things, but you can most definitely ask tarot etc about that! Religious Psychosis is Bad

Hi guys Jelly here , this is a pretty serious post and something needs to be said.

TW : UNREALITY AND TALK OF RELIGIOUS PSYCHOSIS BELOW THE CUT

We will no longer be taking any shit asks about the Godspousal posts , we will only be answering asks that relate to wanting more insight into what we’re talking about. And before anyone declares we are running away from responsibility , this is OUR blog we can in fact choose what / how much we put up with in terms of “criticism”.

What VHS was talking about in those posts is RELIGIOUS PSYCHOSIS. we are NOT talking about:

cultures where there are specific perameters / requirements / ceremonies to "marry" (used loosely here) you to a divine being

the act of becoming a Nun or a Monk and describing yourself as married to your god and needing no other connection that way

The original post DOES tell people that they should check into therapy because religious psychosis is NOT a joke (i know in 2025 it was somewhat turned into a jest due to the Rapture Issue) and saying broadly that if you are experiencing psychosis-like symptoms you should find a professional is NOT abelism.

VHS has acknowledged that the initial posts may have been worded harshly but they stand by that if you are experiencing visions of your divine beings that is NOT normal

[i'd also like to add that i , Jelly , personally think the same about christians who claim to have seen visions of god]

there are many things that can cause someone to believe they are seeing a divine being , all of them require some type of medical intervention.

i urge you that if you are hallucinating (as that is the correct term) deities or divine entities interacting with you , that you tell someone and try to arrange to visit with a professional.

Also a little reminder that this tumblr is NOT AT ALL impassive or unbiased , me and VHS created this blog because we are SICK of online witchcraft communities normalising VERY harmful ideals. For us godspousal is part of that , the way the internet has popularised it is largely just encouraging religious psychosis.
