we are so back
hi there friend, it's been a while. i've been trying to get back into blogging but i haven't had much luck with it on other sites like Wix and Wordpress. their plans are just so costly and i am kind of allergic to subscription services at the moment. both Wix and Wordpress don't even offer monthly plans anymore; they want you to pay for a whole year upfront – pfft! in this economy? yeah, right.
i started to give up on the idea of blogging again when i remembered that i still had a tumblr account. i logged in with the same email address i have been using since i was 10 years old and was surprised to see that my password was still saved.
i hit "enter" and was then greeted by the site's familiar, navy blue interface. i started scrolling through my feed and i was surprised to see how little has changed (they even allowed NSFW content back on the site — yay!). i also noticed that my scheduled queue, which used to consist of hundreds of posts, stopped uploading in 2021. how funny that i had a queue so long that it would keep my blog updated for years after i stopped logging in.
so i'm here again, basking in the early 2010s nostalgia which is wrapping itself around me like a warm blanket. it kind of feels like meeting up with your childhood best friend who you haven't seen in years. at first, you're afraid that you won't recognise them anymore or that the years and distinct life experiences will have made you both too different. but then you remember the small freckles on their face are in the exact same spots as they were when you were in middle school, and you somehow still talk and laugh about things together in the same way that you did all those years ago. it's as though no time has passed at all, you just have more updates.
so maybe this will be my last post, or maybe there will be more to come. in any case, thanks for reading!
xoxo

My room has had an upgrade since you guys last saw it! My new desk was too big so my dad took off some of it and I’m using it as a shelf that matches 🔨💻
Also spot the new addition to our house 👀
