I sit atop the roof at U-Village on my tailgate. I’m an hour early for work. Despite not sleeping at all I don’t feel that way. It may only be a short shift today, but it’s still a shift. I cannot put into words what the past handful of months have been like. At times it seems like it’s only been a few weeks, at others entire lifetimes since I was coming to work last fall with my “summer glow” and my medications. Today I’m thankful. There have been so many people that have supported me through this; gotten me to this point. These people/dog have been my my saving grace, my rocks through all this.
