so. funny story. none of these critters existed before your ask LOL, i don’t really think these three would want kids (at least, not anytime within the shows timeframe) and they’re not exactly in a good spot for it either? but i wanted to give an earnest attempt at my version of fankids and . in the 3 days i’ve been working on this, i may have gotten so attached 😭 my little critters …..
i’ll try to keep this somewhat short bc i’m tired but here’s some bits about the beans <3
-rouge looks up to red So much. they’re very timid and shy, but they want to be as cool as red is and be a captain too, so they try So very hard to be brave, especially for their siblings.
-they haven’t quite figured out the difference between rouge and rogue, so they tend to mistakenly refer to themself as rogue bc they think captain rogue is so cool LMAO
-their hat is a hand-me-down from red! from one captain to another :) it’s too big for them so it tends to slip over their visor a lot. they’ll use it to hide when they get nervous + they have to hold it up sometimes when it slips
-mulberry’s very quiet and comes across as stoic, but they’re actually very silly and playful. they’re not too good at expressing themself, but they love sitting and existing with their family.
-they tend to ghost after green and quietly follow them around. green has a teeny garden that mulberry likes to help them with.
-pea’s a wellmeaning, but grumpy little thing. they’ve got a bit of a temper and struggle to hide their imp mouth a lot, so they wear around a scarf and use it to hide when they’re upset. it’s become a comfort item for them
-considering red and purple were so close to the radiator when it exploded, i think there’s no way they were unaffected. that + purple likely struggled healthwise post-nda, so i think some of that would’ve gotten passed along to the kids. i haven’t decided how or to what extent, but pea got the short end of the stick. they’ve got a fair bit of health problems that lend to them being grumpy and irritable, but they really do mean well.
-i like to think green’s got some ability to sew, from their life on the worm farm. they use it to make little patches/charms for the kids :)
