The Spectacular Spider-Man: Season 1, Episode 9
bitches be like "this is my comfort character" and it's literally just an evil, middle-aged, mad scientist super villain, who has committed many heinous crimes, probably including mass murder
I've had this long-ass meta-analytical post about The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series' characterization of Norman Osborn and Green Goblin sitting in my drafts since August, but I think I can type out a TL;DR version right here, right now.
Norman Osborn's business suit and his Green Goblin mask (+ costume, gadgets, gear, etc.) Serve the same purpose: intimidation.
It makes sense, doesn't it? This version of the character is not the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde from the '90s series, or the one from the Raimi Trilogy. This one's the original, in which Mr. Hyde is simply an outwardly monstrous version of the man which Dr. Jekyll uses to express his inwardly monstrous self without the repercussions.
The CEO and the Supervillain are both masks that Norman Osborn wears. While wearing these masks, he remains the same intimidating, ruthless and charismatic man. The only substantive difference between these two personas of his is the presentation.
Since no one on twitter appreciated this 😔
Green Goblin da foe sketch
Felt like sketching this after seeing No Way Home(this sketch aint really a spoiler considering I based it on promo materials)Defoe fucking KILLED it in this movie, and with him being canon in the universe he is now officially the best MCU villain for me XD

Spider-man vs. Green Goblin
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Spider-Man - All Media Types, Spider-Man (Comicverse) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Relationships: Norman Osborn/Gwen Stacy Characters: Norman Osborn, Gwen Stacy, Harry Osborn, George Stacy Additional Tags: Flirting, Almost Kiss, Underage Gwen, She’s 17, He’s however old he canonically was at this time, Early to mid 40s I guess, Probably the closest to canonical I can get with these two, Let Gwen have a crush on her BFF’s dad, Christmas Eve Summary:
She thought of all the boys who had held her hand or wrapped her in their embrace. None had ever burned like this man.
OR
Gwen Stacy gives Norman Osborn a gift and they find themselves sharing something more.
Hmm, maybe I'll fuck around and write the third chapter on this fine Christmas Eve.
Umm, Merry Christmas, everybody?
