i am tired of getting in arguments over liking other genres.

its a consensus that music taste is wide and varied, there are many genres that you can like while STILL having a label like “metalhead”. i for one love pendulum (not just in silico), the prodigy, mitski, miike snow, psychedelic porn crumpets, N.E.R.D.

what else do i like? METAL AND MANY SUBGENRES. i like mayhem, i like nekrolord, i like bathory, i like napalm death, i like edge of sanity, i like left to suffer.

i dont listen to what i listen to because i have to, that becomes performative and forced, i listen to what i like and this idea that to be trve in the eyes of a bunch of reddit chudlings you must listen to METAL. ONLY METAL. FOREVER METAL. or youre a larper poser is so backwards, it is okay to listen to things that arent metal.
