oh god i fell in love with my best friend and i love them so much but they've never looked at me that way and somehow i don't even care. i just love them and i know they won't ever like me back and i'm okay with that but it still ACHES when they're talking and all i can think about is how very desperately i want to lean over and kiss them

you never know whether they could like you back or not. being friends with someone you’re in love with is quite painful. do not recommend lol.

i’m in love with my best friend. she knows how i feel. she likes girls too. she likes some boy rn. she never clearly tells me how she feels, but actions speak louder than words. do i just try to make my feelings abt her platonic? or should i emphasize how i feel? she once said “it’s a possibility it i don’t know” but that was b4 she liked this guy :/

I think if she knows and she hasn’t acted on it then there is no use in pushing. also I think it’s a little wrong for her to be telling you “it’s a possibility” when I don’t even think she knows herself. in the end, it’s giving you false hope. maybe be straight forward and ask if she actually sees something or not and that you need to know the truth in order to move on or something. sorry for the late reply, i don’t use tumblr anymore.

God, i am *so* in love with my best friend, and have been for the past year. They know how i feel, and we've agreed we're platonic soulmates, and we act so much like a couple... but theyre gay, and i know for a fact theyre never gonna date me. I still love all the time i get to spend talking to them and just being their friend, but i wish i could hold and kiss them and know that there's red romance in those actions 😭

im sorry you’re going through this :/ if you’re okay with just being their friend then I suggest you stay, but don’t read too much into their actions. if you can’t be just friends, then I suggest giving yourself a little time away from them to try to get over your feelings. You don’t have to leave their life forever, but allow yourself some time to heal. Also, don’t be afraid to go out there and date. I hada crush on this girl, who became something like a best friend to me, when I moved to a new city for college. We had a lot of plans and stuff, but during Christmas break something happened and it's like we grew apart for no reason. Things had just started getting back to normal, before my mental health got in the way of school and now she has completely replaced me. We used to talk basically every day, and now we haven't spoken in like a week, since she's hanging with her new friends.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. If it’s bothering you a lot, maybe you should talk to her and ask her what went wrong between you two. If nothing happened and it just happened bc of life, then the relationship was never meant to be. Don’t spend too much time focusing on the past.
