my nuclear take is that TIRFs and TERFs have exactly the same problem in opposite directions. and a principled radical feminist politic is going to step on both of their toes by trying to contend with that problem. i’ll elaborate later lol. maybe this is what #CarlMarks spoke of when he babbled about contradictions and synthesis and what have you.

what’s happening to feminism on social media is simply a reflection of a problem on the left that has existed for decades, i think. “second wave” feminism in the U.S. had its biggest push from women who were abused and neglected in leftist organizing. most of the older radical feminist literature, contrary to the lies of the left, speaks consistently about race and class. they viewed the left’s insistence on libertarianism for women as a form of hypocrisy. they asked the question: why must we be radical about everything but women’s oppression? that question birthed america’s second wave feminist movement.

dworkin spoke of this extensively (she was much more charitable than i am), but you’ll randomly see evidence of this from lesser known writers if you read the literature from that time period too. i’ll post some citations soon. but basically, leftists want you to have a radical critique about everything but gender, because anything that causes injury to men must be abolished, but anything that benefits men must be permitted. the entire political spectrum is simply different flavors of a male grievance movement. male victimhood generates sympathy. this is true now and it has been true for thousands of years.

the left’s refusal to contend with male supremacy is largely what gave birth to “second wave” feminism in america. this outpouring is going to keep happening so long as they are committed to this refusal, and they won’t be able to corral these women into a productive direction due to their insufficient politics and the loss of trust. this is a repeat of history, and the problem has not been properly addressed.

it is our job as radical feminists to figure out a way to harness this energy into a principled, in-person movement that attacks male supremacy at the root. our politics must not be co-opted and subsumed under the right nor the left as we know it, because it is their duty to neutralize it. let’s not forget, the feminist movement suffered its biggest attack by the state when it threatened the now billion-dollar pornography industry in the 80’s—a very clear institution of capitalism and women’s sexual subordination. we are at our most dangerous when we behave as “leftists” who do not surrender women’s sexual subordination to liberalism. i’m just a guy on the internet with a blog lol. something is definitely shifting with feminist sympathizers, but the shift isn’t being mediated. and it can’t be mediated by leftists. #WE can probably do it if we lock in lol.

the people who claim to oppose “bioessentialism” will tell you that the usage of porn and the prostituting of women is normal, permissible and natural. it’s all just sexuality, after all. their sex therapist said it’s fine. their psychologist said eroticizing rape and sexual exploitation is just human nature. you wouldn’t want to be a conservative. sexual slavery is bad if it’s private, but good if it’s public, accessible to all, and socialized among the masses. 😉

the people who claim to oppose capitalism will critique every billion dollar industry on earth except for the ones that give them orgasms at the expense of millions of women and girls. suddenly, for women, consent makes exploitation permissible. you wouldn’t want to be a reactionary. communism is just for men, but the most that women can hope for is libertarianism.

the people who claim to oppose sexual violence will keep their heads down if the sexual violence results in an orgasm for the participants. strangulation is domestic violence unless someone requests it. consent makes abuse impossible, after all. you can’t abuse anyone if you garner consent before you do it. these people will claim to be “materialists.” you wouldn’t want to be a prude.

the people who engage in “media criticism” and care about “representation” fall silent when the representation of women and children in porn is a topic of discussion. suddenly, representation doesn’t matter if the representation is intended to give you an orgasm. they simply want more diversity among the sexual slaves. you wouldn’t want to be exclusionary.

i could go on lol but bottom line is it is of utmost political importance for feminists to oppose the right-wing while disentangling our political project out of the clutches of liberals and leftists. they have nothing to offer us but a prettier set of chains. they want to neutralize our attacks on male supremacy just as much as their right-wing political rivals. we cannot subsume our goals to either of them. this is not an appeal to centrism. it is an appeal for a revolutionary movement that views us as human beings. this “political spectrum” is where our movement goes to die.

women absolutely need gynecological screenings, and gynecologists are evil sadists who systemically alienate women from the screenings they need by dismissing women’s pain and violating them. womp womp. both things are true. question why it’s so extremely rare for offices to offer real sedation. question why the field of gynecology is rife with misogyny. being an “improper woman” for refusing to endure intimate pain is reasonable, and anyone who can’t acknowledge this needs their voices invalidated and silenced lol. the doctors must improve and their medical care and practices must improve if yall want us to be screened. simple. ✋🏿🙂‍↕️🤚🏿

both cool hip woke leftist women and right wing women believe that enduring pain without complaint is a sign of female maturity. they dismiss women’s pain for the same reasons. they believe our pain is frivolous, and this belief ties directly into medical misogyny and does nothing to improve medical outcomes. leftist women who participate in this will have the audacity to believe they’re morally superior to right wing women, which makes them the worst offenders in my eyes—you must endure the pain of bodily violation to protect yourself and suck it up, they say. they will criticize women for caring about their own pain and dismiss them as being childish rather than criticize medicine for being violent to women. i hate them. 💀

gynecology is a medical field chock full of absolute barbarism. it is well known that the origins of its practices stemmed from using enslaved women as experiments, with no anesthesia. rape and the dismissal of our pain is baked into the practice. women need to be screened for all of these related issues, but gynecology and the wider sphere of medicine in general have done everything in their power to alienate women from necessary care by dismissing our pain. it’s not frivolous. they don’t care. and this lack of care on the part of gynecology is what kills women, not women’s fear and avoidance of rape and pain.

you want women to get pap smears? demand that these evil and sadistic gynecologists offer sedation in all of their offices. they can do it. they won’t do it because they believe our pain is frivolous, and they will tell you as such. they think sedation is a cheat code, they think it’s far too much to ask for, because women asking to bypass pain is always viewed as a sign of immaturity. they will attribute our fear to a matter of psychology instead of a matter of objective self-protection. they are evil.

after over a decade of attempting to get pap smears, failing, crying because i failed to be a big girl by failing to endure the pain, and then coming to the realization that it is the gynecologists who are wrong and it is them who are failing women, the only way i was able to do it was via sedation. after visiting multiple different practices over the years, i’ve come to the conclusion that it is a medical and social crime against women that sedation is not offered. it’s not a perfect solution, but it is a much better, more constructive solution than telling women their pain and fear of rape is frivolous. we’re not insane and we’re not immature. we just live in a male supremacist hellscape.

saw this in the wild and thought it was absolutely hysterical. maybe i’m just old, but i had no idea this was such a widespread, deep-seated hypocrisy among this cohort? ao3 slop mine workers fanfiction writers reject and undermine intellectual property to create derivative works. but, when someone comes along and creates a derivative of their derivative work, these writers will clutch their pearls and re-enforce a cultural commitment to the same intellectual property standards they previously rejected to write their fic in the first place. all with no self awareness.

then, in order to moralize around this hypocritical commitment, they have the gall to call this “a matter of etiquette” and even worse, saying the commenter would automatically be engaging in “theft” lol. pretending as if proper attribution and citation in derivative work is impossible, which is something an ao3 writer obviously can’t actually believe if they’re publishing fanfiction. you and the unauthorized fanfic continuer (based) are doing the same thing, rejecting IP to create a derivative work without permission. how is it a moral crime when someone uses your derivative art in the exact same fashion that you’ve used the art of a copyright holder? wonder what this says about society™️. put in simpler terms,
