home; or also the coffee my grandma makes for everyone at 3pm after a delicious summer nap, with a sweet on the side to coat whatever bitterness you carry. the beaches that extend and extend. the cat that sits by the window and observes with curious eyes things our eyes can’t seem to see. the clothes that hang outside and dry patiently. the late afternoon summer breeze soaked in orange blossom and jasmine scent. the serenity of it all.
