Hey friends!

Just wanted to thank everyone for being so lovely and supportive of D20: On a Bus!

It was a bit of a rocky shoot, but I’m really proud of the story we told! I’ve wanted to play with Jasmine, Brennan and Mark for SO LONG and it’s so lovely that I got to do so at Katie’s table. 💖

So here’s the thing: the first season (30 episodes! Can you believe it?!) is in the can, but speaking for myself I *know* the story of my character Bluey™️ and their friends getting from NoHo to LAX is far from over. And that’s where you come in:

Rewatching Fantasy High and remembering that one of my favorite things about Brennan as a DM is that he consistently rewards kindness. Show some empathy to that random werewolf? You get a trusted mentor. Save that kid who was just trying to kill you? Lifelong friend. Rescue your evil sister? Redemption and shared healing. The final fight of Starstruck is full of people who showed up to help because, at some point, a character chose to be kind when they didn't have to. Even in brutal universes, kindness is harder to give, but it's still possible and still pays off in material ways. I love it.

best thing i ever accepted about people is that most people are just kind of gross like, physically

like most people have gross little bad habits and let the laundry go a little too long and sweat in weird places and are messy eaters and have weird laughs and are a little greasy and asymettrical and have stains and tears and wear on the things they own and its like literally fine and human. we dont need to worry about that stuff and frankly we should kill whoever is responsible for making us think humans are even capable of being perfectly polished made up hygeine machines 24/7. we are little animals we came from the dirt and sometimes you scratch your buttcrack or pick at scabs or what the fuck ever it is literally normal animal behaviour !!! let the soft animal of your body ect ect nd sometimes the soft animal of your body is a little yucky.

I really do love the whole K section of the finale for Misfits and Magic 2 because it really hits the nail on the head of:

- There really are people out there who get so caught up in "fighting the revolution" and "sticking it to the man" that they get lost in the sauce and can't even articulate what or who they are fighting, or why, in a reasonable way.

- The inherent danger of treating activism/politics (or just trying to make a better world in general or in small ways) like a fandom instead of the grounded reality of it all.
