The child shrugs easily, tucking the bursting notebook under his arm as he hurries to catch up with the creature, who seems to be purposely elongating its strides. ❝Actually,❞ he begins, a little winded, ❝I already told them where I was going. I’m allowed to go anywhere as long a I’m collecting data to benefit the paranormal community.❞ Although this statement is not entirely true, his main point still stands: his family is not concerned with his whereabouts.
❝Besides, I still have loads more questions to ask!! Now, I understand you’re a chimera, but what does that entail? Like, what animals are you linked to? By the way, could you please list their common names, not their genera? My spelling isn’t that great…b-but I assure you, that doesn’t make me any less legitimate as an investigator! Also, when was the last time you bathed? Man, you kind of reek.❞

Hurting children is against moral code for hopefully everyone, so all this beast could do this shiver his shoulders. He trudged on with a grueling pace to who knows where. "Is that the new norm?" he honestly questioned, but then gave another snarl, "Now you're making me ask questions!" Where was a perfect alignment of chairs and tables when he needed them? Flipping and crushing them would be perfect, but he dare not try to touch the four wheeled metal machines.
He sighed, "I'm a lion, a buffalo, a bear, and a gorilla. If you want the spelling I can't help--"
"I REEK? Well if you hallowed out your head, you could fit four of your bodies inside! Maybe more!" He stood tall over the boy, his clenched fists by his side as he stared him down. He bathed not long ago, too. It was a week since his last bath, he was probably the cleanest thing alive.
