ABOUT THE PROJECT
1. Introduction
Welcome! This project is another collective effort to keep the fanbase alive and thriving.
The Byler fandom is a space of immense talent, creativity, thoughtfulness, intelligence and depth. This initiative was made to share all of that, while also uniting content creators and fans, so everyone can exchange knowledge, bond, and more importantly, have fun!
For now, the project does not have a title, so we ask everyone to participate and send their suggestions! A poll with the best options will be made in the next few days, and everyone is welcome to vote so that name can be chosen in collaboration with the whole community!
Initially, things will be operated on Tumblr, but eventually the page will have an account on other platforms such as; Instagram, Twitter, BlueSky, TikTok, YouTube etc.
P.S. This project was launched in August 2025, but due to personal problems of moderator #1, there were too many complications to proceed with the planned activities. Thankfully, it was possible to postpone the project, contact participants and give them a proper explanation before continuing and wasting anyone’s time and effort. The understanding and support of everyone involved is deeply appreciated. Now, everything is back at full force and ready to go!
2. E-mail
Since the project is still untitled, the temporary e-mail address is [email protected]. Once there is a definitive name voted by the public, a new e-mail will be made and the address will be updated.
3. Purpose
The intention of this initiative is to gather as much fan-made content in one space as possible, and have a real community where people can safely share opinions, tips, recommendations, etc. and, hopefully, form friendships as well.
4. Vision
At this moment, the project is still very new and nothing is set in stone yet. There will be multiple ideas and trials before strict decisions are made, and everybody is welcome to give their opinions, compliments, criticism, recommendations and any kind of input.
Initially, fanart, animations, videos, reviews, reactions, analyses, moodboards, AUs etc will be (re)posted without a fixed schedule, but there are definitely more ambitious activities being planned, such as themed celebrations, a book, annual awards, and more for both the near and distant future.
The goal here is to have a project for the long run, not only sharing fan made Byler content, but also hopefully promoting artists so they can gain engagement with their own original work and build a real, supportive community with genuine friendships.
5. Mission
For now, fanart, animations, videos, analyses, reviews, reactions, AUs, moodboards etc will be shared here. Everyone who can and want to help with something, be it their own work or just a recommendation is not only welcome, but encouraged to do so. This is a project made by Byler shippers, for Byler shippers and with Byler shippers. Your contributions and opinions are not taken for granted. They are highly appreciated and even necessary for this endeavor to succeed.
The project also recognizes the pluralism among the Byler fandom. This fanbase is massive, with people from different genders, sexualities, races, ethnicities, nationalities, ages, and even opinions and everyone is valued. The goal here is not uniformity, but diversity. Different art styles, genres, opinions, headcanons, etc. are more than simply accepted, they are fostered as the core of this project. The intention is to represent every side of the fandom and its creativity fairly, and coexist, inspire, and learn with one another.
6. Values
In order to accomplish these goals, it is fundamental to have respect, empathy and transparency in order to keep everyone informed and maintain a safe, friendly environment. It is important that this endeavor makes, if not the entire fandom, at least the majority of it, happy. Your feedback is guaranteed to be listened to and taken into consideration.
It is also crucial that the content makers are the true protagonists here, that they are not only appropriately credited at all times, but that their names and links are emphasized and they are at the front and center of everything. Properly crediting and highlighting the artists, writers, vidders and anyone who creates material for the fanbase is mandatory.
Having a rotation of content is also a huge goal. This project is not meant to only promote its creators, it is supposed to promote everybody in the fandom without monopoly, hierarchy or favoritism. It is impossible to control how many people are willing to participate and send their work, but there will be a rotation based on the number of submissions received.
Moreover, as can occur with these kinds of initiatives, people can take advantage of others, use the project to do damage control for their own actions, target people, and overall use these activities for their own benefit. This will not be allowed here. The only times things will get personal is when somebody shares their opinion on the characters or ship. This is supposed to be a warm and truly positive environment, and, more importantly, democratic. This project is supposed to serve and please the majority of the fanbase, not just one person or a group of people.
Another crucial point is to support the diversity of people, styles and opinions of the fanbase. As mentioned before, every person and every material is welcome and encouraged. However, respect will always be necessary, so any offensive content (for example, antisemitic and homophobic stereotypes), be it intentional or accidental, will be rejected.
It is also fundamental that things here will be as accessible as possible, from the design of the page to the language used, and everything in-between. In order to succeed at that, everyone is invited to send their suggestions and opinions to make sure the needs of neurodivergent/disabled people will be accommodated as much as possible.
7. Rules
The work submitted must be your own. In the case of a recommendation or a collaboration, please send the username of the (other) creator, so they can be contacted and give the consent to share their material.
The fanart does not need to be perfect, but it must be respectful and accurate enough. That means depicting Will’s and Mike’s crooked noses, body type etc. Anything that erases their real physical appearance or perpetuates stereotypes will not be accepted.
Since this is supposed to be a project for all ages, the visual material cannot include explicit content such as nudity, graphic sex, heavy gore etc. Characters kissing, wearing bathing suits, implicit sex, light gore and cursing are allowed. In case of any doubts, you can ask for clarification first.
Hate speech, bullying, d0xxing, use of AI, plagiarism or any continuous (support of) offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
P.S. This does not include ordinary online arguments or being a fan of a celebrity, unless their actions lead to harassment, discrimination or the celebrity in question is someone with a history of continuous offensive/violent behavior or who actively funds harmful policies, for example: d0xxing, defending Donald Trump, Roman Polanski, Danny Masterson, etc.
If any content gets declined or removed for any reason, it will be done privately. This is extremely important, not only out of consideration for the person who dedicated part of their time to collaborate on the project, but also because this is supposed to be a drama-free space. The intention here is to build and thrive on art, positivity, and connection, not internal feud. Exceptions will only be made in the case that something extraordinarily serious (for example: a literal crime) happens. For every other case, the actions will proceed with total discretion.
8. Reports
In case there is a piece or person shared here that breaks the rules of the project, you can and should send an e-mail with the information. Here is an example of how to write your message:
Explain the subject on the title (example: reporting someone for hate speech) and provide as much evidence as possible. It is recommended that you send links since they cannot be altered like screenshots can, but everything is accepted. That said, content and individuals will only be removed when there is enough proof for it, in case of any doubts, they will be kept in order to avoid committing injustices against innocent people.
9. Activities
For now, our first plan is:
A masterlist of content creators - a long list with (nick)names of everyone who makes fanart, fanfictions, AUs, moodboards, animations, videos, reviews, reactions, analyses or any kind of material in the fandom, with a preview of their work (a drawing, video, an extract of one of their texts, etc. + a link to the original post by its own author) and the handles of all their platforms (Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Ko-fi, PayHip, BuyMeACoffee etc).
Example of a post: Name/nickname/initials/alias of the content creator + [content] + all the the things/people they make content about (including original characters/stories) + original link of the post by the author, please reblog/like their original post and support the artist + link of Twitter, Instagram, BlueSky, TikTok, YouTube, PayHip, BuyMeACoffee and/or any other link they send.
Future activities - Those are yet to be determined, but in order to plan them, it is necessary to have have collaborators willing to contribute. Please, send an e-mail volunteering and sharing your specific skills to help the moderators determine what will be the next steps and activities of the project.
Content will also be regularly shared via reblog/retweet directly from the original source.
10. Submissions
If you would like to participate, please send an e-mail following the example below.
GENERAL
Title of the e-mail: Submission (General)
How do you want to be referred to (name, nickname, initials or alias)?
What are your pronouns?
What kind of content can you offer (fanart, web design, moodboards, AUs, fanfictions, analyses, commentary, image description, translation etc)?
Do you want to be a permanent or sporadic collaborator?
Are there other fandoms/things/characters/people you make content for/about that you want to included in your information? P.S. You can mention any media, real life artists and/or your own original characters/stories.
On what platforms are you on? What are your handles?
What are the other links where people can support and/or buy your work (BuyMeACoffee, Ko-Fi, PayHip etc)? You can send how many you want, there is no limit. You can also send a carrd, link tree or page with all your links together to simplify things if you prefer.
Upload an extract/some of your material as an annexed file by the end of the e-mail. Do NOT send a finished art/text/video unless you have already made it before. If you are making content to send it to this project specifically, send a PREVIEW of your work and wait for an e-mail confirming you were accepted, because all material will be revised first to make sure it follows the terms.
P.S. If your submission meets the terms and requirements, your content will be reblogged directed from the original post and you will be invited to join the next projects in the future.

Do you wish to send a specific work of yours or can the moderators scroll down your page and choose a piece they prefer?
In case you want to send specific material: What is the theme of your content? Example: a cleradin drawing, a text about the cinematography of Byler etc. P.S. You can send as many items as you want without limits. It is recommended that you send at least 3 posts, one Will-centric, one Mike-centric and one focusing on both as a pairing, in order to make sure the content of all tags is balanced.

P.S. You can send as many works as you wish, or allow the moderators to search on your blog and pick the pieces of their choice.
You can send old works and texts if you want, it doesn’t necessarily need to be something made specifically for this project.
A link of the posts with your works will be sent to you so you can be informed and check how they are being used. You can also keep track of your presence on the page by searching your username on the account.
If you ever change username or make a new account, you can just ask to change your information and it will be updated.
11. Do you have any doubts? Feel free to ask anything!
You can send your questions on Twitter, but it is highly recommebnded that you sent them here on Tumblr, since that is a better place to answer them.
