Hamilton rp group!!

A Hamilton: An American Musical and 18th Century RPF group is in the works, but I need the ideas and involvement of interested users! It will ultimately be a paragraph style group, and a nuanced understanding of the historical context of the musical is required. Because of the issues that arise when you headcanon a historically white group of people in seventeen/eighteen hundreds as POC and turn a blind eye to the actual achievements of real POC, the group will be a modern-set AU.

There is a difference between a mermaid and a siren.

Sirens are born from violent, watery deaths. Drowning, being murdered at sea, their bodies being thrown in to the water shortly after their deaths, stuff like that. They are the ones that sing to sailors (or anyone) and drag them to their deaths when they get too close. They are born anytime.

Mermaids are born when someone who has a great love for the sea (or any other body of water) dies. These deaths have to be peaceful, though people who commit suicide are sometimes brought back at mermaids. All mermaids are born on either solstices or equinoxes.

When she feels him move away, she finally opens her eyes, trying to catch her breath. Sometimes, these panic attacks just gave out of nowhere- aftermath of the Dread Doctors. She clears her throat, not wanting to appear weak- but it’s probably too late for that. She sucks in a shaky breath, running her fingers through her messy hair (she was tugging on it when he suddenly appeared) It also was not a good idea to just wolf out in front of him, and she felt like she was on the verge of it. “I’m going to be fine.” She answers after a moment of trying to reassemble herself back together.

                     “fine? really?” Cel quirked his eyebrow, crossing his arms in front of his chest. “Yeah, no. I call bullshit. I know me and you aren’t bff’s forever, but usually you’d punch me if I did something wrong.” his expression lightens, and he scoots a little closer to the girl, worried about her state of mind. She wasn’t just afraid, there was something more. Like she really thought he could hurt her. “why are you so afraid?”
