Anita wasn’t as innocent and naive as her composure would suggest. When it came to dire situations of fight or flight, she would always choose the second option. She kicked and screamed – she lived. And thus, when the room she entered greeted her with the awful sight of an undead who, judging by its body type, couldn’t have been older than she was, she didn’t hesitate to end it, knife to the forehead, as it lunged at her. Anita didn’t enjoy it, certainly not, but survival was her goal and so survival she would accomplish. Even if it left her nauseous. Even if it took her breath away. With heaving breaths, she exited the room and shut the door, locking the fould stench of death behind her. The girl pressed her back against the door until she could manage to steady her lungs.

Many could deem Salem as reckless, and that the way he did things were risky; and they weren’t wrong. If anything, they were correct; he walked into places without making sure they were secure, he spoke to people with no ounce of respect -- as if they couldn’t kill him right on the spot ( but to Salem, why would he speak to someone with respect, when he didn’t have any? ). Salem was reckless and risky, but it was because he truly didn’t care about his lively hood; he wasn’t afraid to die, and living wasn’t that exciting to him either. When he wandered into the house, he wasn’t expecting to see anyone ( and he didn’t want to, either ) but his eyes quickly caught sight of the girl who looked somewhat panicked. His face contorted into one of confusion, his brows scrunched together as he scrutinized her. “What’s up with you?” he questioned, his blunt voice breaking the silence.
