Dark eyes were focused on a small child playing with a feline pokemon. Certainly, Suga should have been paying more attention to the world around him, but it was not often that Kotone bothered with people.

He knew why his partner was interacting with the little girl, of course. Minutes earlier she had been in tears, but now she was petting and nuzzling with the patient Absol. Perhaps the child was tugging a little hard on their ears, but Kotone had spent plenty of time dealing with far more irritating people and pokemon.

It took the tall trainer several moments to realize that he was being addressed by a boy with an insect pokemon. Suga simply nodded in response, not giving any further answer.
