Wildcard –“Sometimes, sometimes I wish this family didn’t act like just an idiotic one.” Elliot rubbed his temples as bickering started to appear at the dinner table – he was younger than Chad and Cass, yes, but even at a young age many people said he was so mature. And maybe Elliot brought his whole life into that statement. 

A sad memory that makes them cry –Elliot Charming did not show emotion. But as he slammed the door in Cass’ face, he couldn’t help but bite back a sob, shutting his eyes to prevent himself from crying. This was the person he became?  Sometimes, sometimes he wished he didn’t have to act like this. But this was who he was.

A happy memory that makes them smile –Amazing how an afternoon day was made a million times better as Elliot was called into the kitchen, the chefs and maids preparing a special gift for him on his birthday – this, of course was not the actual birthday cake his parents ordered them to make, they knew Elliot was more inclined to homey sweets and pastries, and so they gave them a small strawberry tart, and by the time he finished it, he was grinning ear to ear.

“You don’t need love in your recipe, it’s not actually an ingredient you can implement in.” Elliot snacked on some fruit as he leaned back against the counter. “Therefore, following the exact measurements to gain a scientific chemical reaction that is edible and safe is the best opinon.”

Cass stopped. Her face flushed pink as she picked at the edge of the box. “Cassius. He’s, uh… Well, he’s my boyfriend.” She smiled to herself. Boyfriend. It always surprised her how much she loved him, how that feeling of butterflies popped up when she remembered how lucky she was to be with him. She looked up at her brother. “He’s a great guy, El. I think you’d like him.”

“. . . Oh. Okay.” Elliot was a little shocked to say the least, to know that Cass had a boyfriend. “Jesus christ then, bring him in and make him help us open this box.” He wasn’t particularly worried about this boy, especially since he was going to be some demonic being or something.

Besides, Chad was going to be the ruler. . . which was an unfortunate decision, but it wasn’t going to damage the family’s reputation. “I think the bigger problem right now is the box.” He gestured to the box.

“Watch your damn language,” Cass laughed sarcastically. She strained, pulling on the flaps. “Trust me, I think Cassius can open a simple cardboard box.” She grunted and took a deep breath. “Though I’d usually say the same about myself, too.”

He smirked, shrugging. “I get to say whatever I want to say -- excuse me what?” Elliot stopped in his tracks, his hands still on the box. “Who’s Cassius?” He wasn’t one to divulge into romance, but this directly involved his family and to an extent, him.

Cass shook her head. “I don’t understand! It’s just cardboard! It shouldn’t be this hard to open!” She sighed heavily. “Here, maybe the bottom will be easier.” She took the box and turned it over, pulling against it with no luck. Maybe Elliot had the right idea with the knife.

“The goal of a cardboard box is to protect what’s ever inside while allowing the receiver to open it easily to gain the contents. Who does this?” Elliot panted, frowning as he tried to help Cass open the box. “Cass just promise me when you find someone, whoever I don’t care, they’ll be able to open a goddamn cardboard box.”

He scoffed as he watched his sister struggle to open the box. “We can make this way more easier than it needs to be right now. But if you insist.” Elliot raised an eyebrow though, as soon as he realized that the box may have been a little more tougher that he expected.

“No, let me try, maybe it’s the way you’re opening it-” Elliot grunted against the box, trying to pull apart the flaps which seemed to be super-glued together.

Jamila took a breath as she stood outside of Elliot’s door. She had a basket of goodies on her arm and she smiled to herself.

She was hoping that she wasn’t intruding but she had wanted to see him and what better way than to bring her boyfriend some of his favorite treats? Jamila smiled as she knocked rhythmically on his door and wondered if he was home.

Jamila grins as the door opens and Elliot was right there.

To be honest? Elliot was having a rough day. Working on public affairs, homework, and public press about if the Charmings had any involvement with Audrey was making him tear his hair out. But as soon as he saw Jamila, he relaxed, raising his head. “Jamila, what’s up?” He quirked an eyebrow, looking at the basket hungrily.

Jamila grins as she looks at herself in the mirror. She was excited for the ball and she was dressed up in a dress that she absolutely loved. She had commissioned it from one of the Isle girls and since she didn’t have much money, she is able to help the other girl and work for her to pay it off. It was perfect!

She put on the finishing touches on her makeup when she heard a knock on the door. She grins and walks over, opening it. She saw Elliot and blushed, nervously brushing down her dress.

“Hello Elliot!”

He smirked, holding up a corsage. “Hi Jamila. Are you ready?” Taking some time to look at Jamila, Elliot’s face turned a faint shade of red, clearing his throat as he turned away. Adjusting his tie, he gestured to her, still smiling. “Come on, we don’t want to be late.”

What’s it like having Chad for a brother?

I can’t say. I love Chad as a brother, but thinking of him as the future ruler of Deverre…  It worries me. That’s why I took up the role as royal adviser. Other than that, he may make some questionable actions, but I still care for him.

Closed Starter: Okay, It Wasn’t Just Me

After remeeting with Jamila, he went to the nearest royal he could find -- Hollis was nearby while he was looking around, and he immediately ran towards them. “Hollis! Okay, well apparently Audrey cast a spell to make all the AK’s forget about the VK’s. Is this true?” Panting out of breath, Elliot raised an eyebrow, looking at them.

Jamila grinned as he said her name, unable to help it as she hugged him tightly. “It worked? It worked! You remember! Oh thank goodness it worked!” She exclaimed, pulling back and cupping his cheeks. “P.E.? No! No, Elliot, I’ve been on the Isle! All the VKs have!” She told him, shaking her head and frowning.

“Audrey! She… She sent us back! Erased everyone’s memories of us!” She explained, pulling out her old Isle clothing from her bag and showing him. She never wore her Isle clothes there. “She sent us all back; kids and parents.” 

He raised an eyebrow.. “Does. . . Does that mean you broke the spell with. . . true love’s kiss?” He was still in shock that he couldn’t process anything -- he didn’t think he was going to find his true love, or even find love in the first place. He shook his head. “We can talk about that later. Well, surely we can find the other VK’s and help with with their situation.”

Jamila let go of him and she watched him carefully. She was trying her hardest not to cry or let out a frustrated sound. He definitely didn’t remember her and it was heartbreaking.

“That’s right, the spell…. how do I break the stupid spell?” She muttered to herself, running her fingers through her hair and she shook her head. The only thing she knew of was true loves kiss and…..what if it didn’t work?

She looked back to him and sighed. “Elliot, you may not remember me but…. If you still don’t after this then I am sorry.” She whispered, shaking her head. She walked over to him, looking up at him with obvious nerves and fear in her eyes as she leaned up, kissing him softly and cupping his cheek.

He breathed softly as she kissed him, feeling almost a rush of memories back, something back in it’s place -- “Jamila.” Elliot murmured, kissing her back. “I’m sorry I didn’t remember you, I don’t know what happened, I hope you could forgive me.” Glancing at her attire, he raised an eyebrow. “What happened to your clothes? Did you just come from P.E.?”

Still holding her, he was still confused about what was going on -- a veil was lifted, but he didn’t know what happened in the first place. What made him forget Jamila?

That was it, the barrier was down! Once Jamila was on Auradon land, she said bye to her sister and Amani and went on her own way. This couldn’t be that hard right? Finding Elliot? He was probably in the library….or in his dorm….or back at the castle. She groaned and decided to start at the school and hoped that he would be there. 

She bit her lip as she made her way there, getting a few odd stares from other students, even old friends. She looked down, still in her Isle wear and she frowned. She knew how Elliot had been before, how much he hated vks before and this clothing screamed vk. 

She sighed and went to the gym, grabbing Auradon gym clothes and putting them on and keeping her other clothes in her bag. She set off to find him, and stopped dead when she finally saw him. She couldn’t help but to run over to him and throw her arms around him, hugging him tightly.

“Elliot! Oh thank goodness I found you!”

Elliot was surprised at the girl who came out of nowhere and hugged him, slowly trying to push her off. “Who are you? Why do you know my name?” He couldn’t recognize the girl, though she quickly hugged him. 

“I’m sorry, I have to attend some other duties and working here in the library is the easiest for me, I would like it if you couldn’t bother me-”

What girlfriend? I don’t have time for a girlfriend, especially since I have to focus on the kingdom and my royal duties.
