Urbanity is part of our identity that both shapes and is shaped by our social and cultural relations, including migration and diversity, but also gender and sexuality. The „right to the city“ is a common human right. This should not be abolished by a neoliberal policies, that see the city only as booty. For us urban research means practical utopianism that focuses on the lived experience here and today.
