The Art of the ‘Baddie’: The Rundown Pt. 1

The long-awaited Baddie Rundown tailored towards those trying to achieve the classic ‘baddie’ look and/or recreating it for dependents/minors and those on a budget.  

Attitude: The Basics 

Rule number 1: Don’t let people push you around or walk over you. 

Have confidence.

Be unbothered/don’t care what other people have to say about you. 

Don’t be rude.

Encourage and uplift others. 

Attitude: Other Things To Keep In Mind 

The tricky part: Know when and when not to follow the crowd 

Be mindful of who you confide in 

Be independent. Even if you are a minor or dependent, try to start doing what you can on your own 

Create short-term and long-term goals and work to accomplish them  

Other Things To Remember When Adopting the Attitude or Look:

Have good posture

Be proud of the way you carry yourself 

Step out of your comfort zone (take baby steps but don’t do stuff you’re not comfortable with)

Keep up with your appearance/hygiene 

If you have a budget, when it comes to clothes and makeup especially, make dupes your best friend

Take your time investing in your items. Don’t break the bank on recreating the look asap. Start with what’s free, use what you have, and save up

Life Cleanse - What I Did

Deep clean your room - I’m talking about stripping the bed, going through clothes, papers, and belongings and having no mercy. Sweeping and damp mopping the floors. Dusting surfaces. Finding new homes for those miscellaneous items that just sit there in the way.

Delete old contacts - I went from having maybe 30-40 contacts to 14. In other words, delete contacts you haven’t messaged or called in the last two weeks to a month (if so long). If they text you don’t be afraid or feel guilty for asking who it is.

Go through your music library - Play all your songs and if you skip a song delete it without hesitation. The next time you hit shuffle on your playlist you won’t even notice it’s gone. What if you get in the mood for the song? That’s what YouTube is for my friend… or just add the song back onto your phone.

Go through clothes - That dress you haven’t worn once in the past year- toss it. The shirt you swear fits if you don’t raise your arms- get rid of it. Those worn out clothes- dump them. *Of course there can be exceptions but within reason.

Journal - Write down any thoughts to cleanse your mind. Any ideas you might have. Good things that happened that day. Bad things that happened. Things you’re grateful for. It helps so much. Try it for at least three days straight and you’ll notice how much better you feel. Problems might not disappear completely but it’ll give you the strength to get through another day.

Don’t try to force things to work out - It’s so hard and it can be upsetting when things don’t, but sometimes the best thing you can do for you is accept the way (some)things are.

Don’t be hard on yourself for messing up -  It can be easy to physically or mentally punish yourself for making a mistake no matter how big or small, but I’ve learned that doing things like starving yourself, beating yourself  up (literally), or just scolding yourself repeatedly doesn’t improve the situation and it doesn’t improve yourself.

Cut toxic people off - Remove them from your life physically (which sometimes takes time). Unfriend them from social media. Remove prominent traces of them from your life. It’s like suddenly a weight comes off of your shoulders.

Practice self love -  I write/say this so often and sometimes I feel like it’s so hard to do sometimes but it’s not. I’m talking about taking a break when you need to. Drinking water. Moisturising your skin. Getting enough sleep. It’s the little things like that that count as self love.

Don’t runaway from your problems - It’s tempting and hard but it’s important to face any problems you’re facing. No one is saying you have to be strong 24/7, only that you should try.

Delete old files - Go through you computer, tablet, phone, USB drive etc. Delete old unimportant documents, old photos, music, apps and more.

Hoe Wisdom - Manipulation

I learned from a very young age to make people believe about me exactly what I want them to. I learned how to walk, sit, move, and even eat in a way that makes me seem in complete control of myself and my surroundings, even when I’m feeling completely overwhelmed and out of place. I learned to hide my anxieties and insecurities in a way that everyone thought I was always calm and put together. I also learned how to get people to trust me and tell me everything about them by masterfully displaying those very weaknesses. I’ll share some of my tips tonight, these tips might help you seem in complete control, help you get what you want and even who you want ;)

WHEN YOU’RE ALONE AMONGST A LOT OF PEOPLE - If you’re alone don’t stress about the fact that you are, don’t worry about looking like a loser because you won’t. > When you’re alone be sure to keep your posture. ALWAYS TAKE NOTE OF YOUR POSTURE. I cannot stress how important your posture is. Look up how to keep a proper posture. >Snack slowly and take small bites, small and assured sips of your drink. Not too slow, just measure yourself. > Learn how to strut. When you walk across the room to sit, to snack, or just anywhere, don’t slack on your walking. Chin up, stare straight ahead, perfect posture, and have a very slight smile. The world is your catwalk, and yes people will be paying attention when you least notice it.

WHEN SOMEONE APPROACHES YOU - If they’re a close friend you don’t have to worry much about how to talk to them because you know them, but your behavior still matter. > When talking to them make sure you pay close attention to them and what they’re saying. No extreme reactions, unless they truly said something shocking. > Smile a lot, let others see that you can be approachable. Also, they’re your close friend you should be smiling anyway. - If they’re someone you barely know then just breathe in, smile, release your breath slowly and greet them politely. > Ask then questions about their life you have some knowledge about. Ask about their family, pets, children, partners, work/school, make sure they’re the ones speaking more than you are. - If they’re a stranger wait until they’re immediately in your personal space to acknowledge them, then meet and greet them only after they have directly addressed you. Keep an easy smile on your face, and when meeting them change your smile according to the impression you want to make (dazzling smile to charm, smirk to seduce, smile politely for anyone else). > For strangers you don’t know anything about them, ask them about things you are at least somewhat curious about. Ask them about their current standing in terms of job and or studies. Ask them about family and hobbies. Anything you would like to know or need to know to get some info on them. > Make a lot of eye contact, but not too much, but make sure to keep your attention on them. Make them feel that you care about what they’re saying.

WHEN YOU’RE IN A GROUP Besides all the other things about posture, eye contact and smiling, when you’re in a group this is where the whole “pay them complete attention” does not apply. In a group make sure to pay attention to everyone speaking, let everyone have a turn at your attention. People who were steamrolled out of a conversation you ease them back in either by giving them your attention and let them speak to you directly, or if you’re feeling bold politely call out the person or people who steamrolled over them by calmly stating “I’m sorry to interrupt but [their name] was speaking, I want to know what they were going to say.” Don’t do that if you don’t feel confident, or if you care about possibly offending others, you should still operate within your comfort zone so that you can portray a genuine look of collected confidence.

NOW YOU’RE IN, HOW TO GET THEM TO TRUST YOU - This is when you can start showing people bits of your true self. You should have real stories and anecdotes ready for when you get the chance to use them. - Real stories and anecdotes are crucial because believe it or not people are actually adept at intuitively spotting liars. If the stories and anecdotes are real, with genuine feeling attached to them, they can’t spot any lies because they will be the truth. - Manipulating people is not about lying, it’s about using the truth to your advantage. Avoid lying and avoid exaggerating, so that everything you say and do is genuine. - The stories and anecdotes you use must have some connection to the context of the conversation or the person you’re with. Don’t bust out a story of a dying pet when the person you’re with never even had a pet. Don’t talk about how you once failed an exam when the conversation was about this concert he went to with his friends last week. Talk about things in context, and if you have no material for a certain context then don’t stress, you don’t need to have something to say for everything. For every time you talk to them only share one personal story, avoid using more because then that shows too much of you. - You want to show some humanity, but not too much because you want them to still believe that you’re some ethereal and strong entity that could probably crush them if they cross any lines.

To end, I just want to say that with this post I don’t mean to imply that you need to act this way to be desired, to get what you want, or to be considered amazing. This is not the case at all. However, I know for a fact that some of y'all struggle with confidence and that you wish you knew how to display confidence even when you don’t have it. Well this is a way to fake it until you make it. My blog is about loving yourself, but I know how long and tiresome that process can be. This is just a way to put yourself out there. There’s so much info I still didn’t cover because then the post would be even longer, for any more info just ask me! None of y'all should feel that you HAVE to do what this post says to get people to notice you and like you, I don’t want any of you to compromise yourselves for the sake of people that don’t matter. But I know some of you want this, I found myself looking up a lot of this information way back when before Tumblr had this huge and informed community of wonderful people willing to share their knowledge. I love all of you and I hope I’ve helped some of you in any way.

Teeth Tips 🗣

If you don’t brush your teeth… why tf not??? I genuinely believe that oral hygiene is one of the most important things to keep up so here are some tips I have researched and tested to make sure that it works for you guys, I’m also gonna restate the obvious stuff bc we all need a reminder.

REMINDERS‼️

Brush twice a day atleast for the love of god. Especially at night because otherwise all the stuff will simmer in yo mouth.

Brush for atleast two minutes (a quick jam) and make sure to brush behind and in the back of ur teeth

Genuinely make an effort to floss, my gums felt so much healthier and my teeth felt so much cleaner

Mouth wash won’t kill you esp if it’s alchohal free

I highly suggest investing in an electric toothbrush, if you can get those nice rechargeable ones do it. I use the $2 one you could buy at any drug store that still vibrates, I see a really big difference

Okay keeping your mouth clean will save you big bucks and pain from infections bacteria and cavities. Cavities ain’t cute or cheap

TIPS‼️

Oil pulling is is a method where you put coconut oil in your mouth and swoosh it around for like 10 minutes and this stuff pulls every nasty thing out of your mouth. I know the thought of keeping oil in your mouth is disgusting but lemme just say wow. This definitely transformed my teeth gums and mouth. The thing is I do it usually in the morning once every week or so or when I eat stank food and you have to spit it in a bottle or something bc otherwise it will clog your drain

I honestly use the cheapest toothpaste I can find bc I don’t think it matters that much but this is just a preference plus I’m on a budget so every penny counts. But once a week, usually on the day I use the coconut oil I put some baking soda and brush with that and it’s sorta a diy teeth whitener. If you can afford the whitening tooth paste and stuff go for it!! Otherwise a broke bitchs gotta improvise

If u get one of those canker sores or cold sore things in your mouth make a salt water rinse and rinse it everytime you brush to keep that sucker clean and help it heal faster

CLEAN YOUR TONGUE

If not for yourself save other people from your nasty breath. One warning is if you brush or scrape your tongue too harsh you might damage a taste bud and that’s no bueno

Obv go and do your own research this is just what’s worked for me and homegirl hasn’t gotten a cavity ever so…

I am so against that word as an insult but I’m all for it as a compliment. I’ve had 12 people ask me to make a post about this and it’s about time.

1. There isn’t an instruction manual to be a bad bitch and being a bad bitch just means having confidence basically.

2. “If you’re a bad bitch why would you hate on another bad bitch? send her a chanel purse”

3. Nicki quotes are your best friend she repeatedly tells you to be more independent and continue your education and demand more orgasms always

4. Love yourself, I know it’s hard but how are you gonna walk with your head high if you hate yourself.

5. Don’t be all talk if you say that you do something you better do it. Don’t lie. Don’t go around telling everyone a lie unless you’re good at it eventually the truth will come out and it’s easier this way. being outed will make you seem weak. If you say you gonna cut a bitch I do not expect you to cut a bitch actually stop getting into violent fights it solves nothing.

6. Do not let people walk all over you stand up for yourself but don’t walk all over people they don’t deserve it

7. I know “bad bitches” are portrayed as this chick that wear all leather and red lipstick and treats people like shit but that isn’t how you have to dress if you don’t want to. Never ever treat people like shit you shouldn’t live like this.

Make sure you’re comfortable: You don’t have to always wear make up if you don’t want to, it’s okay if your eyeliner is a bit off, black leather is not comfortable to move in, honestly wear what makes you comfortable act the way that you normally would just don’t treat people like shit and don’t let people treat you like shit.

10. If you’re gonna get in an argument you better know what you are talking about. Educate yourself do not show up to a fight with an unloaded gun. (NO GUN VIOLENCE THIS IS A METAPHOR)
