TONE BELL is this really cute comedian turned actor who i first started paying attention to in 2019. he starred in this CBS prime time comedy called, “FAM”. his role was of the husband, newly married to a white woman & trying to help raise her troubled younger sister. the legendary Sheryl Lee Ralph played his mother, but the series never really found its footing.

the series had its moments, but the jokes and gags were all very forced. i also feel like the entire white wife/black husband casting was FORCED for “diversity & inclusion” purposes🙄

he was also cast in another short-lived primetime series called “TRUTH BE TOLD”. the show may have only lasted a half season, but we got a really CUTE shower scene where we got to see the side of Tone’s little man cakes😈☺️

he then appeared in a HULU movie that i stumbled across during the quarantine. the romantic comedy starred some very familiar faces, including the sexy YLAN NOEL from “Insecure” & Issa Rae’s “THE PHOTOGRAPH”.

it was very REFRESHING to see him take on a more serious, layered role.

the serious, more mature performance in this particular rom-com then landed him a coveted role in 2020’s release, “SYLVIE’s LOVE” 💜 ♥️

he starred as the handsome, charming, debonair, DICKIE BREWSTER😍

soon, HOLLYWOOD really began paying attention beyond his late night, stand up comedy gigs.

Tone delivered on the big screen as Billie Holiday’s shiesty boyfriend in Lee Daniel’s critically praised biopic, “THE UNITED STATES VS. BILLIE HOLIDAY”
