Voice: Rena S. Mandel as Meeshell Mermaid from Ever After High

With Dae’s reference post, I knew that when in comparison to her engine, Sir Handel, she would be much more timid and shy than her crew. She talks in a very quiet manner and doesn’t yell as much compared to the other crews seen so far. Even before she transitioned she was very quiet. Although she’s very timid, she also the most empathetic between her crew. However, she does also hold a lot of self doubt and blame, especially due to her father’s behavior. Her father’s bitterness and anger after the divorce made him a very difficult to work with. His outbursts made Dae become more meek and timid, causing her to always apologize for her father’s actions towards the other crews.

I went with Rena’s voice for Meeshell to portray how quiet and nervous Dae can sound like. With Dae’s personality she acts as the group’s defuser. If Sir Handel isn’t feeling well she’ll try and cheer him up. If Noah starts getting into something he can’t back out of, Dae will remove them from the situation. If the others are too frustrated to think clearly, she’s usually the one of the group to gently tell someone if something they’re doing is too much. Dae tries to make sure everything goes smoothly without too much fuss, but that comes with the fault of not speaking up for herself. She puts her crew before herself, tending to their needs while not giving herself enough time to rest. She wants to make up for everything her dad has put the others through, even if it comes at the cost of her mental state.

𓁹 Omorose Ali Voice Claim 𓁹

As one of the older crew members (so far), I wanted Omorose to have a voice that would show that she’s more openly confident and knows how to stand up for herself. As the oldest amongst the seen crew members, she usually tries to keep things steady and acts as an older sister to them. With the most experience, she usually tries to defuse a situation as best and sternly as possible. She’s considered the “black sheep” of her family; from her taste in music, to her demeanor and even to her desire for independence.

Omorose’s starve for her own independence would help her become a reliable driver when working with Duncan. With her personality, she can match Duncan’s attitude and make sure he doesn’t get into too much trouble while on their runs. She’s not afraid to openly say what’s on her mind and isn’t afraid to quip back at Duncan if he’s being fussy. As a the youngest in her family, she learned to become a support system for the younger crew members, especially for Dae. The two of them both have daddy issues. Omorose’s father hates the fact that she doesn’t want to start a family of her. While Dae’s father curses her out for not wanting to speak to him anymore. As the most vulnerable, Dae leans on Omorose for support and comfort which Omorose is happy to do so.

I went with Cindy Robinson’s portrayal as Ramona for that kinda moody and edgy like tone, which would contrast from her sisters’ tone of voices.
