“‘It's the season that everyone finds themselves sick. Keep yourself warm when you go out.”
I’ve been thinking about this all week god help me
resoundingstrings :
“Yes, they are useful devices. Actually…Echo has been in a place like this for more than two years.”
Saying it made her realize just how long she’d spent in this world and how adjusted she’d become to the technology here. Echo’s face scrunched up and she seemed to be recalling the many things that had happened. She would like to think that there was more good than bad. Yes…she was happy here. She treasured her new friends and her new life.
“I do not mind it. I am glad I am able to live here. I can no longer return to our world, as Mr. Reim might recall…” She wondered at what point he had been taken from. He had looked surprised earlier, so perhaps he knew about her death. “That means…that she is here with me as well.“ In the past she’d kept Noise a secret out of fear, but it had only resulted in tragedy. Mr. Reim may be too polite to ask, but Echo thought the proper thing to do was inform him.
“Two years!?” No way it has been two years- that made no sense at all? Unless... unless the Abyss has some sort of power over this place that can speed up or slow down time. or perhaps if someone is taken from their world, time flows normally here and pauses in their world? The understanding of different worlds, different stories, was still a hard concept to completely grasp.
Oh... and here comes a headache.
Echo’s words set the reality back in him- the reality with her. This sort of place may be for the best. As much as he knew about her, she didn’t do anything wrong... and consider to be a great friend of Master Oz. Even if she mentions the other is here as well, it would be something he would have to adjust himself too. Or find out whatever information he can about her that no one knows about. Though who was he ever kidding, Master Barma knows everything.
“Yes. I’m fully aware of your reason. We were all deeply sadden by your departure. I’m sure if Master Oz were to come into this city and find you, he would be thrilled. To be honest, having you here is a bit relieving. Even if... the other you is here as well. I never had the please of meeting, but I urge you not to worry or fret too much over it. If we happen to encounter one another, then it simply is what it is.”

Vincent held his dulled scissors as he wandered through the nearly empty streets, unsure of what to do or where to go. Eyelids drooped as he did, the stress response of Gilbert’s absence and everything that had happened weighing heavily on him.
The twittering of gears echoed quietly as he yawned, ignoring everything happening around him.
Still, he was able to look up before he fell asleep, seeing a familiar face.
“Oh. It’s you.” It was not Gilbert. Nor Leo. But Reim Lunettes, whom he knew was not particularly fond of him. However, he may have information. The most important information of all.
“Is Gilbert here, too?”
There’s no lie that Reim had taken somewhat of a liking to this place. Of course, there is no place like home, but he is impress with how advance society had become, especially when it comes to taking notes of what the city has to offer. He manage to make himself comfortable with the knowledge he manage to gain in this place. He has only manage to meet up and speak with Miss Echo, a friendly face, despite being surprise due to his knowledge of what had happened.
Though it seem this place has some kind of affect of bringing any and every kind of human or others imaginable to a place like this. That being said... he was also prepare to come across those from his own world. Some sooner then later. Having eye contact with Vincent... he would have rather meet up with him later.
However, that thought would not allow him to treat the other with disrespect. That would sully the name of the Barma household after all. “Master Vincent. It’s a surprise to see you here.” ‘Poor Echo...’
“I assume you’ve been well enough, considering such circumstances. However, i regret to inform you that I have not seen Master Gilbert, nor heard if he had arrived in this city.”
(I’ll be dropping a few old threads and start some new ones. Like this for a short starter. Capping at 3. Yes he may be too fascinated with how phones keep everything organized thank you echo
uselessmarchhare liked your post:VINCENT NIGHTRAY from PANDORA HEARTS total garbage…
@rabbitcrowned
It was that time to shop in the market for some food. or at least anything he can work with to make himself a healthy and appetizing meal. They have a large section of... unhealthy food that young kids seem to enjoy. As much as he would like to buy himself a piece of cake... now would not be the right time. It would be wise to keep himself on a healthy diet and try to find more work to keep himself busy. Having no work for Pandora was a bit odd for him. Working his whole life, a few month break is too much.
Reim looks around the next section to see a row of different kinds of meat. And someone who seem to be enjoying the site. ....
Wait a minute!
“Is that you Miss Alice?”
♡
send one for my muse’s reaction to your muse —
♡ = complimenting them .
“Oh! Well… thank you for that, sir, but you don’t have to be so modest.” Reim proceeds to take off his glasses to get them clean, and to distract him from the nice compliment from a stranger. “You know, acting like that and saying something so polite to a stranger can really make their day. You really did catch me off guard. A worthy note for a gentleman such as yourself.”
@keiisho
“If I’m not mistaken, you would be the person in charge of a detective agency, is that correct?” he’s already applied to one job, it wouldn’t hurt to juggle another that he would feel a little more familiar with within this new modern world.
@onemagedeltaforce
“Back in my own world, usually those wearing red capes would be a part of House Baskerville, so it’s a relief to see someone wearing a blue cape. You wouldn’t happen to be some sort of mage, hm?” He has an inking of someone he knew that is actually interested in magic like this. Or maybe it was his imagination.
thetravelersjester :
@uselessmarchhare
A day out and about usually served Jester well. She was looking for new friends. She skipped her way through the Cotes Ward, her boots softly hitting the concrete of the sidewalk. The ruffles of her dress rustling slightly, she spotted someone very finely dressed. She approached him, “You look like you’re going somewhere important! Like maybe a very fancy party. Do you have a date to this very fancy party because I, Miss Fancypants-McGee, could accompany you to this very fancy party as I am also very fancy” What she was getting at, did she even know?
Honestly, Reim was more surprise about the other’s skin tone then anything else. Must be part of being dragged from different worlds. Though he shouldn’t let that stop himself from the sudden assumptions. “Ah- well these are my usual work clothes from where I am from. I haven’t found anything that I would feel comfortable wearing as of yet, however I do find it apparent that one must always dress properly, even if I am not in my own work space.” Not to mention being a servant of a Duke requires to be presentable no matter what. Though he couldn’t help but chuckle at the other’s attitude. “Perhaps I’ll keep you in mind if a gala happens here and would need to escort someone in. You do have a charming personality. I’m sure you have others that enjoy your company and make them feel at ease.” Because Reim certainly feels relax with her. “May I ask for a name perhaps?”
resoundingstrings :
“Ah. That is one question Echo is unable to answer. If Echo were to guess, their motive for bringing us here is to observe us. For the most part they leave us alone, but occasionally they have called upon us to assist them. Recently the city had been overrun with monsters and we were tasked with defending it.” In another city, her captors had been clear about their purpose as test subjects. Luckily she’d heard nothing of the sort here, but Echo knew better than to drop her guard.
“The machinery here is more advanced than ours. For example,” from her sleeves she pulled out the cell phone she’d been granted, “these phones can be used as communication devices. You may also use them to take photographs, purchase items, and summon transportation.”
“Observation purpose? How odd. I can see other’s being pulled in to this place be observed. I’m sure you know who I’m talking about. Though they always seem to find themselves into such trouble.” Reim couldn’t help but take his glasses off to clean, actually kind of glad Oz and the others weren’t roped into a strange predicament. “Ah... though that does seem strange that they would require our service in assisting them when we should be observed. perhaps I’ll have to look more into the situation. Though I’ve gathered a bit of information myself. Not very useful, but something to start off with.” Reim put his glasses back on before listening to the smaller servant speak.
Now it was his turn to say something, but was found a bit speechless from the device the other held. Can this small little machine do such things? “I-Is that right? I can hardly imagine such a small thing can do so much. Though I think it would be useful for communications.” Perhaps one day, all the other uses it has will be useful another time. “We’ve really come a long way. I think it will take a moment for me to adjust to a different era. But you seem to be doing just fine.”
