Ooh, how fun.
Someone to pick brains out of your nostrils.
Been hiding.
That medication is taking a toll on my sleeping patterns.
And what sort of doctor are you?
Oh look, another pathetic doctor to tell us what to do.
Youuuu loookkk like you’d be a mean drunky.
I am a mean drunk.
Hello mr face
And you aint gonna share the vodka with me?
in a daze // open
They didn’t even bother with a gurney this time. They thought she could walk, but Sandy collapsed into the arms of the guard leading her twenty feet away from her room. After that she was unceremoniously carried into her room and dropped on the bed. She barely had the strength to open her eyes, let alone sit up, but after a while she managed to lean against the cold cinderblock wall.
Sandy slowly grabbed her thin, itchy blanket and pulled it over her, her hands shaking. She couldn’t remember a thing. One minute she was walking down the hall, the next minute she being thrown onto her bed. The only thing she remembered in between was a bright light over her. She mentally checked her body. Nothing felt broken or in an exceeding amount of pain, she just felt sore from head to toe. I am a bruise, she thought.
She didn’t cry and didn’t want to. The only emotion she felt was anger.
After what felt like hours, she got up and limped into the bathroom to splash water on her face. The sound of voices from the hall filled the room and it took a moment to realize that it wasn’t in her head. They hadn’t bothered to shut her door, but by this point she was surprised she even had one.
Atticus had lazily gotten out of bed that morning and spent most of it in his room until one of the guards ordered him out, fucking guards, why him? He just wanted to chill out in his room and wanted to avoid human interaction if possible, today was not a good day for that sort of thing. Stumbling out into the hall, he groaned and stretched himself, walking down the hall, he pulled on his jumper and ran both hands through his already scruffy hair, he was heading towards the day room but that meant walking past the womens rooms to get to the right staircase.
"Hm?" He frowned at the small yet petty argument that was going on near someones open door. Standing there for a few moments, he realised whose room that was so wandered over, pushing past the idiots and peeped in. "Sand? Are you in here? Hm?" Atticus scanned the room, her sheets were all rumpled, probably from being forced into the room at some point. "Are you okay darling?"
Remember that time I got a bit drunk and mooned people in the day room? OH RIGHT THAT’S NOW!
That’s so childish, Arkin!
Do you not want to get better or something?
Ha, better. What is better? No is getting out, Daphne, what is the point?
These are just anti depressants anyway.
-sighs- Why not?
Becaaaaaaaaause I don't want to.
Not today what?
Not taking my medication.
Nope. Not today.
That’s rubbish, of course you should. I’m not a… a telepathic!
Oh, I don’t know -stares at him- You’re arrogant, so I’ll guess it starts with an A.
I wouldn't be surprised if you were to be honest, this place is full of those freaks.
Go on...
Tick tick tick... || Tucker & Atticus
Tucker’s brows knit together and he frowned for real, licking his lips. “I don’t sedate people unless they attack me and thus far all I’ve gotten is a wee nip which isn’t completely unwelcome. Closest any lips have gotten to mine in a few years.” Tucker shrugged and then shook his head, lifting his hand and running it through his hair. “I’m not your enemy, Atticus. Of all the people here …. I’m not against you in this” he said slowly.
Of course he didn’t expect Atticus to understand. He really didn’t expect any of the patients to. He was, after all, just another guard … despite the effort he secretly put in to making everyone around him comfortable. “Whatever” he shrugged and shoved his hands in his pockets. “Have a good day Atticus and try not to pick a fight with a guard who’s grumpier then me. Might get your pretty little ass kicked.” he said with a shrug, allowing his shoulders to slump slightly as he began to walk away.
"Of course you're my enemy, you're the one with the needles. If I step out of line, you have the permission to turn me into a vegetable for a few hours, depends on todays dose. Which is it today then? Too much? Too less? Hm? Well?" Atticus gave him a look and tried to stare him down but that didn't work on some guards, you had to be a little tougher than that to get them to flinch. "Your nose will be fine in a few hours, it was simply a nip."
He didn't even react to the lips thing, Atticus didn't see the point in it really. "I'm going back to my room, I'm sick of sitting around here watching the crazies going crazier." Nudging his head towards the patient that was always asleep, he finally headed out of the room.
I…I don’t know. You’ve not told me!
I shouldn't have to.
Now have a guess.
Yeah, well, you obviously heard wrong! And you know my name so use it.
And what's my name then?
I beg your pardon? I do my job well enough and interacting with patients isn’t against the rules!
That's what I've been hearing Red.
